On this study, we survey construction-field labors and made an analysis of the gathered data through the statistic method to reveal what kind of job-stress factors influence on the defects of construction works. As the result, we investigated the truth of the induction factors which cause the job-stress in costruction field and proposed an alternative plan for an effective job-stress management which make the defect rate low.

In this regards, this study presents general overview of Korea-China Car Ferry Route and evaluates the efficiency level of each operating route using DEA model. Incheon-Yingkou, Incheon-Lianyungang, Pyeong Taek-Lianyungang are analyzed as efficent routes, while from the view point of passenger efficiency, 4 routes i.e, Incheon-Dalian, Incheon-Dandong, Pyeong Taek- Weihai, Gunsan-Shidao are also noted as efficient routes. Consequently, other inefficient routes can benchmark these efficient routes by increasing cargo volume and passengers.

  • This study is established of simulation models form the stochastic and statistic analysis of monthly rainfall and monthly runoff on south Han river. The time series simulation of monthly runoff is introduced with a linear stochastic model for simulating synthetic monthly runoff data. And, time series model of monthly pricipitation and monthly runoff is introduced to be a pure random time series with known statical parameter, which is characterized by an exponential recession curve with one parameter, and is develope expressing the statistical parameter for length of carryover.

  • London's BID, introduced in the early 2000s, has grown significantly to fill the gap between government services which have been decreased by the global recession and localism, and the demand for better services to strengthen competitiveness on a global level. Based on this background, this study comparatively analysed two BIDs in London with contrasting regional characteristics to find how BID works differently for the regeneration and sustainable development of regional business districts according to regional characteristics. As a result, the two BIDs ultimately had the goal of improving the local business environment and strengthening the competitiveness of local businesses and had a common point of working in close partnership with the public sector such as the local government. However, depending on the local situation and characteristics, it has been observed that there are differences in the strategies of work and the roles and relationships in the partnership with the public sector.

  • An analysis of the correlation in port-related industries between minimum wage and employment effects, showed that it was very insignificant. However, there are some differences between commercial and temporary workers, those that are self-employed, and other workers in the private sector. Thus, while commercial workers are somewhat stable, they have a somewhat negative effect on temporary workers and self-employed people. At the Minimum Wage Council, the minimum wage hike is seen as stable because of the interaction between income and substitution effects in the labor market. According to the analysis, the port-related industries were affected more by the global economic recession and domestic economic volatility than the variables related to the minimum wage hike.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the survival characteristics of the restaurant business by trade area type (major and side street). By the increase of the unemployment rate, the new foundation of selt-employment type is increasing. However, due to high competition and economic recession, the sustainability of new foundation is not high. Therefore, in this study, survival analysis was performed considering the individual and commercial characteristics focused on the ordinary restaurants. The major findings are as follow. First, the characteristics of parcel unit and adjacent area have a significant effect on the survival. This means the micro-scopic spatial characteristics should be considered for survival in the location choice. Second, the regional economic characteristics in trade area have a significant effect on survival. Furthermore, these characteristics are different by the trade area type. Third. the development characteristics have a different effect on survival by the building usage and trade area type. Finally, regional economic characteristics have a significant effect on survival. These results are expected to be used as basic data for commercial location selection and trade area analysis system in the private and public sectors.
