심미보철을 위한 치주치료 (Periodontal Plastic Surgery for Esthetic Restoration)

  • Esthetic demands for dental treatment are increasing every day. The interdisciplinary relationship of the restorative treatment, periodontal therapy and other treatments such as endodontics, orthodontics and so on is more emphasized nowadays to reconstruct the hard and soft tissue foundation for the esthetic restorative treatment. This article will focus on the periodontal plastic surgery for esthetic restorative treatment. These followings will be discussed. 1. Understand the relationship between teeth and gingival scaffold for esthetics 2. Discuss the classification and treatment of gummy smile 3. Recognize the gingival margin irregularities by gingival recession and how to achieve the harmonic soft tissue margins 4. describe the hard and soft tissue augmentation for ridge augmentation.

MEASUREMENT OF COASTAL EROSION ON THE EAST SEA USING CORONA SATELLITE IMAGERY

  • In this paper, a small portion of coastline on the EAST SEA was studied using CORONA panoramic satellite photo and 1:5000 Korean National Topographic Map. The project site near Kangneung city was 3 Km shoreline on the Kangmoon Beach and the SongJeong Beach, which have suffered from severe erosion. The first and the most important step was to rectify a CORONA image over the project site. A rigid mathematical model and a heuristic polynomial transformation were used for the purpose. The rectified image was overlaid with 1:5000 Korean National Topographic Map produced by aerial mapping. Among numerous methods for shoreline erosion measurement, area-based approach was chosen and used for the computation for annual shoreline recession. The final result of the analysis was that the average recession in the period of 1963-1998 was 33.6m and the annual rate was 0.96m.

Does CSR Really Enhance Sustainability?: A Perspective of Business Cycle

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of macroeconomic conditions on the relationship between CSR and firm value. Design/methodology/approach - Employing KEJI index as a proxy for a firm's CSR activities, we investigate whether investors discount the value of CSR activity during the economic recession when a firm's bankruptcy risk is high and thus its future sustainability is suspected. Findings - Our empirical result represents that the value of a firm with high CSR score is undervalued during recession, reflecting investors doubt the sustainability of a firm whose CSR score is high when overall economy is exposed to high downside risk. Research implications or Originality - It implies that investors may not regard the CSR activities as an indicator of corporate sustainability. Also, the result represents that stable macroeconomic condition can be one of the important factors to make the CSR activity increase a firm's value.

농어촌 보건소 신축과 보건소 진료량의 관련성 - IMF 경제위기의 혼란효과 검토 - (The relationship between the new-building of rural public health centers and outpatient medical utilization - review of confounding effect by IMF economic recession)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relationship between new-building of rural public health centers and the outpatient medical utilization. Methods : The study subjects were 141 public health centers in rural area. The data were collected from 1995 to 2001, medical utilization and local population, healthcare resources, and economic characteristics were included. In order to evaluate new-building effects, we performed paired t-tests and multivariate regression analyses. Results : The following variables are significant affecting the medical utilization of rural public health centers: urban side location of public health centers(p<0.05), pre- and post-IMF economic crisis(p<0.001), number of medical aid recipients(p<0.01), number of private clinics(p<0.05), workers of public health centers(p<0.001), financial independent level of local governments(p<0.001). In contrast, the existence of new-building and number of the aged 65 and over were not significant variables. Conclusions : We could not find out the positive relationship between the existence of new-building and the volume of medical utilization in rural public health centers. In particular the medical utilization of rural public health centers is significantly affected by IMF economic recession and number of the poor strata, the economically depressed area.

0.4MW 아크 가열 풍동 시험을 통한 삭마 재료의 표면 특성 연구 (A Study on Surface Properties of Ablative Materials from 0.4MW Arc-Heated Wind Tunnel Test)

  • 고온 환경에 노출되는 열 보호 시스템의 삭마 현상에 의한 표면 침식은 주로 재료의 두께 방향으로 진행된다. 본 논문에서는 0.4MW 아크 가열 풍동을 통한 삭마 실험을 수행하고 삼차원 표면 측정기를 이용하여 삭마 재료의 표면 상태를 측정하였다. 특히, 정밀한 삼차원 이미지 데이터를 획득하여 고온 플라즈마 환경에서 진행된 삭마 재료의 표면 거칠기와 침식량을 산출하였다. 이와 같은 삭마 실험 전후에 발생된 시편의 질량 감소도 함께 측정함으로써 표면 특성의 변화를 정량적으로 비교 및 분석하였다.

혈소판 농축 혈장을 이용한 골 이식술과 Calcium sulfate를 이용한 조직유도 재생술이 골연하낭의 치료에 미치는 효과에 관한 비교 연구 (The Comparative Study of Bone Grafts using Platelet Rich Plasma and Calcium Sulfate Barrier for the Regeneration of Infrabony Defects)

  • Bone graft using growth factors and guided tissue regeneration have been used for the regeneration of infrabony defects which caused by periodontal disease. Calcium sulfate which is one of the resorbable barrier materials used for guided tissue regeneration. Platelet rich plasma which is a easy method to obtain the growth factors had many common points but, platelet rich plasma was still studying. This study was the comparative study between bone graft using platelet rich plasma and guided tissue regeneration using calcium sulfate barrier material in clinical view. For the study, 28 sites(2 or 3 wall infrabony defects) were treated. 14 infrabony defects were received surgical implantation of BBP-calcium sulfate composite with a calcium sulfate barrier and the others received BBP mixed with platelet rich plasma. Clinical outcome was accessed 3 and 6 months of postsurgery. 1. There was no statistical difference between CS group and PRP group in pocket depth, gingival recession, clinical attachment level, and probing bone level at baseline. 2. There was statistically significant reduction in probing depth, clinical attachment level, and probing bone level at 3 and 6 months postsurgery(p<0.05). 3. In the probing depth and clincial attachment level PPR group had less improvement than CS group, but there was no statistically difference at 3 and 6 months postsurgery. 4. In the recession PPR group had less recession than CS group, but there was no statistically difference at 3 and 6 months postsurgery. 5. In the probing bone level PPR group had less improvement than CS group, but there was no statistically difference at 6 months postsurgery. In conclusion bone graft using platelet rich plasma and guided tissue regeneration using calcium sulfate barrier showed similar clinical improvement for the treatment of 2 or 3 wall infrabony defects.

소양강 탁수 현황과 저감에 대한 수리학적 분석 (A Hydrological Analysis of Current Status of Turbid Water in Soyang River and Its Mitigation)

  • 소양강물은 춘천과 서울지역 시민의 중요한 수원이다. 2006년 태풍 에위니아로 악화된 탁수현상은 예년과 달리 280일 이상 지속되었으며 이로 인하여 춘천 및 서울지역 물 공급에 차질을 빚었다. 한편 소양강 유역의 약 55%에 해당하는 고랭지밭의 토사유출이 탁수현상의 주요원인으로 꼽히며 이와 함께 무분별한 산지개간, 도로의 확포장, 임도개설 등도 탁수를 가중시키는 것으로 알려진다. 본 연구에서 2006년 6월${\sim}$2008년 8월간의 소양강 유역의 탁도, 강수량, 댐수위 등을 분석한 결과 탁도는 일 강우와 49일의 지연시간을 두고 최대의 상관성(r = 0.28)을 보였으며 특히 댐 수위와는 4일의 지연시간에 대해 탁월한 상관성(r = 0.60)을 나타냈다. 그리고 2006년과 2007년 두 차례 발생한 탁수의 지속기간과 거리별 탁도 자료를 이용하여 분석한 결과 취수원인 팔당댐에 탁수(10 NTU)가 도달하기 위한 소양강댐의 기준 탁도는 약 31 NTU로 추정되었다. 또 분석을 통해 향후 탁수발생 시 지속기간을 예측할 수 있는 지배감쇠곡선(master recession curve)을 제시하였다.

열분해 및 삭마 환경의 복합재 구조물의 열기계적 연계 해석 (Thermomechanical Analysis of Composite Structures in Pyrolysis and Ablation Environments)

  • 본 논문에서는 열분해 및 삭마 환경의 복합재 구조물에 대한 열기계적 연계 해석을 수행하였다. 열분해 과정의 재료 밀도 감소, 기공 가스 확산, 흡열 반응 에너지와 삭마 과정에서의 표면 침식 효과 등을 고려하였다. 상용 유한요소 코드에 교차 연계 알고리듬을 적용하여 완전 연계된 열 해석 및 구조 해석 인터페이스를 구성하였다. 수치 실험을 통해서 탄소/페놀릭 복합재료의 기본적인 열분해 및 삭마 특성을 분석하였다. 특히, 화학적 및 기계적 삭마에 영향을 미치는 주요 인자에 따른 표면 침식량 등을 비교하였다. 또한, 열분해 과정의 수축 또는 팽창 변형도가 재료의 열기계적 거동에 미치는 영향도 검토하였다.
