Conclusion: The results can be utilized as basic data on accurate nursing demands that reflect various features of patients.
Russian State Historical Archive (Rossiiskii gosudarstvennyi istoricheskii arkhiv - RGIA) received its present name in June 1992, and before 1961 was known as TsGIA. RGIA holds the major records of high-level and central state and administrative institutions and agencies of tsarist Russia from the eighteenth century to 1910s (except the records of the Army, Navy, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), as well as fonds of social organizations, institutions, and individuals of prerevolutionary Russia. The main goal of this article is to assist understanding russian principle on arrangement and classification archives with its historical development focusing on one of the biggest historical archive in Russia. The primary set of historical records in RGIA remain arranged in 3-steps classification system: fond (collection) -- opis' (inventory) -- delo (file). In this general survey of RGIA author offers detailed information on the collection of archives and the system for classification of its huge amounts of primary sources in connection with influence upon historical studies. Despite the general economic crisis Russian archives are struggling to keep their doors open for public research and are exerting their energies in present electronic information to scholars and other researchers from throughout the world. The result, however, is not rewarded enough, considering the effort involved.
We have experienced 120 non-small cell primary carcinomas of the lung between June, 1974 and December, 1984, at Seoul National University Hospital. They were 107 males and 13 females. 95% of all were ranged from 40 years to 69 years of age with 56 years of mean age. They were composed of 70 [66.7%] squamous cell ca., 20 [19%] adenoca., 6 [5.7%] undifferentiated large cell ca., 4 [3.8%] undifferentiated small cell ca., and 5 [4.8%] mixed adenosquamous cell ca. 41 [36%] and 35 [30.7%] patients have received pneumonectomies and lobectomies with a 66.7% resectability rate. Of the 36 stage I and 21 stage II patients, 56 were resectable but only 20 [31.7%] of the 63 stage III patients were resectable. This informed us the significance of the stage of the disease at the time of operation. The actuarial survival rate in 70 patients was as follow: 1, 3, 5 year survival rate of the patients in stage I were 80%, 80%, and 60% respectively. Both 1, 3 year survival rate of patients in stage II were 84%. But 1, 2, 3 year survival rate of patients in stage III were 40%, 11%, and 5% respectively. By dividing the patients in stage III into resectable group and nonresectable one, both 1, 2 year survival rate of the former were 37% and those of the latter were 42% and 7%. According to the cell type of the cancer, 1, 3, 5 year survival rate of the squamous cell ca. were 63%, 40%, and 26% respectively. 1, 3 year survival rate of the adenoca. were 43% and 34%. Hospital death were only 2 cases with a 1.7% operative mortality rate. We had acceptable long-term survival rate and have convinced the necessity and hope of the early detection and resection of the lung carcinoma.

The mean score of attitude of sexual behavior was $3.69{\pm}0.37$ and showed significant differences by the grade(f=3.06, p=.0386). 3. The correlation between knowledge and attitude is significant(r=.2290, p=0003). 4. The subjects experienced sexual behaviors such as. pornography(80%), night pollution (37.9%), masturbation(32.2%), Kiss(19.1%), Pet(8.7%), Coitus(3.2%). 5. The subjects being received sexual education were 94.7%, these former sexual educations is unsatisfied(40.7%). 6. The subjects who need sexual educations was 55.1%. The needs of sexual educations was high in the connection on with the other sex(51.9%), coitus(12.3%), sexual impulse (7.5%), sex organs(7.1%), sexual physiology (5.2%), masturbation(4.7%). In conclusion, subjects necessary to give sexual educations are suitable to the subjects's needs, grades and teaching methods such as multimedia program.
Background: To evaluate clinical and radiological outcome using AO hook locking plate in acute acromioclavicular joint injuries. Methods: This study was based on patients with Rockwood type 3 or 5 acromioclavicular joint injuries who received surgery with AO hook locking plate from June 2008 until June 2009. Among the 22 patients, 19 of them were male and 3 were female, the mean age was $44.4{\pm}15.57$ years (20-72 years) and follow-up period was $15.5{\pm}3.90$ months (12-23 months). Preoperatively, postoperatively, and at the final follow-up after the plate removal, both coracoclavicular distances were measured from the anteroposterior radiograph. Also, the Shoulder Rating Scale of the University of California at Los Angeles scores (UCLA scores), the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons scores (ASES scores), Constant scores, and the Korean Shoulder Society scores (KSS scores) were measured at the final followup to evaluate the function of the shoulder joint. Results: At the time of injury, the mean coracoclavicular distance of the injured side was $17.69{\pm}4.23mm$ (9.57-27.82 mm) and the unaffected side was $7.55{\pm}2.20mm$ (3.24-13.05 mm). The mean coracoclavicular distance measured postoperatively and at the final follow-up was $6.87{\pm}2.34mm$ (4.07-14.13 mm) and $8.47{\pm}2.96mm$ (4.37-17.48 mm), respectively. The mean UCLA, ASES, Constant, and KSS scores measured in the final follow-up were $33.5{\pm}1.30$ (31-35), $90.8{\pm}8.36$ (72-100), $78.6{\pm}8.80$ (62-100), and $94.4{\pm}5.08$ (84-100) each. Conclusions: From this short-term research, the surgical treatment using AO hook locking plates in acute acromioclavicular joint injuries is clinically and radiographically satisfying and considered as a useful treatment method.
This study was done using a Quasi-experimental research design to determine the effects of social support on compliance with sick role behaviors in hypertensive patients and to know if the effect of the social support on compliance lasted for at least 6 months. The subjects consisted of 81 hypertensive patients who were registered in the Cardio-Vascular OPD at Chonnam National University Hospital. They were divided by random sampling into 42 people for the experimental group and 39 for the control group. Data were gathered from June 3, 1996 to June 10, 1997 through individual interviews using a structured questionnaire. The results of the study were summarized as follows : 1. Compliance with sick role behaviors in hypertensive clients was significantly increased in the experimental group who received social support from the nurse as compared to the control group who did not receive social support(t=15.99. p<.001). 2. The effect of social support on compliance with sick role behaviors in hypertensive clients lasted for 6 months(t=7.99, p<.001). 3. Four of six people stopped smoking in experimental group after the intervention of social support, but none of the five in control group were able to stop smoking. Fisher's Exact test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control group(x²=4.385. p< .05). Mantel Haenszel test showed that the effect of social support on stopping smoking in the experimental group lasted for six months because there were no significant differences between one month after the social support and six months after, in the number of subjects who stopped smoking(x²=1.154, P>.05). Finally, social support was effective on compliance with sick role behaviors and stopping smoking in the hypertensive clients, and the effect of social support on compliance lasted for 6 months.
Objectives: This study was aimed to report a patient with metastatic pancreatic cancer treated with modified Bangam-tang and Gunchil-dan in conjunction with gemcitabine. There were better survival-related outcomes compared to gemcitabine alone. Methods: The patient with metastatic pancreatic cancer received gemcitabine as palliative chemotherapy since June 2016 concurrent with modified Bangam-tang and Gunchil-dan since October 2016 to October 2017. To evaluate the effect of treatment, tumor markers (carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)), Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) version 1.1, and overall survival were checked. Adverse events were evaluated according to the Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) version 5.0. Results: After 12 months with the combination treatment, levels of CA19-9 were decreased from 8747 to 265.7 ng/ml and CEA from 42.2 to 6.5 U/ml. Clinical partial response state was shown until May 2, 2017 and stable disease state was maintained from August 4, 2017. In March 2018, the patient got an operation including pancreatectomy and diagnosed with no evidence of disease state in September, 2018. In conclusion, it showed the overall survival of 29 months from June, 2016 to November, 2018. Serious adverse events were not identified. Conclusions: This study suggested that combined treatment with modified Bangam-tang and Gunchil-dan may show better outcome in patient with metastatic pancreatic cancer than gemcitabine alone.

Background: In asthma, consistent control of chronic airway inflammation is crucial, and the use of asthma-controller medication has been emphasized. Our purpose in this study is to compare the incidence of acute exacerbation and healthcare costs related to the use of asthma-controller medication. Methods: By using data collected by the National Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service, we compared one-year clinical outcomes and medical costs from July 2014 to June 2015 (follow-up period) between two groups of patients with asthma who received different prescriptions for recommended asthma-controller medication (inhaled corticosteroids or leukotriene receptor antagonists) at least once from July 2013 to June 2014 (assessment period). Results: There were 51,757 patients who satisfied our inclusion criteria. Among them, 13,702 patients (26.5%) were prescribed a recommended asthma-controller medication during the assessment period. In patients using a recommended asthma-controller medication, the frequency of acute exacerbations decreased in the follow-up period, from 2.7% to 1.1%. The total medical costs of the controller group decreased during the follow-up period compared to the assessment period, from $3,772,692 to $1,985,475. Only 50.9% of patients in the controller group used healthcare services in the follow-up period, and the use of asthma-controller medication decreased in the follow-up period. Conclusion: Overall, patients using a recommended asthma-controller medication showed decreased acute exacerbation and reduced total healthcare cost by half.
Objective: The objective of this study was to determine the five-year survival among patients with cervical cancer treated in Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia. Methods: One hundred and twenty cervical cancer patients diagnosed between $1^{st}$ July 1995 and $30^{th}$ June 2007 were identified. Data were obtained from medical records. The survival probability was determined using the Kaplan-Meier method and the log-rank test was applied to compare the survival distribution between groups. Results: The overall five-year survival was 39.7% [95%CI (Confidence Interval): 30.7, 51.3] with a median survival time of 40.8 (95%CI: 34.0, 62.0) months. The log-rank test showed that there were survival differences between the groups for the following variables: stage at diagnosis (p=0.005); and primary treatment (p=0.0242). Patients who were diagnosed at the latest stage (III-IV) were found to have the lowest survival, 18.4% (95%CI: 6.75, 50.1), compared to stage I and II where the five-year survival was 54.7% (95%CI: 38.7, 77.2) and 40.8% (95%CI: 27.7, 60.3), respectively. The five-year survival was higher in patients who received surgery [52.6% (95%CI: 37.5, 73.6)] as a primary treatment compared to the non-surgical group [33.3% (95%CI: 22.9, 48.4)]. Conclusion: The five-year survival of cervical cancer patients in this study was low. The survival of those diagnosed at an advanced stage was low compared to early stages. In addition, those who underwent surgery had higher survival than those who had no surgery for primary treatment.
Purpose: This study was to examine the effects of a Self-management program on physical function and quality of life of women with knee osteoarthritis. Method: The participants for this study, who had knee osteoarthritis, were recruited from an arthritis clinic, at a university hospital located in S city, Korea between February 16, 2004 and June IS, 2004. Seventeen subjects in the control group received no intervention and 18 subjects in for experimental group received an individual Self-management program. The self-management program consisted of dietary education and home-based exercise; walking and resistance exercise. The subjects performed this program 5 times per week during 8 weeks and recorded a diary for diet and exercise. In order to verify the effects of the Self-management program, physical function and Quality of life as a dependent variable were measured at three points in time: before, week4 and week8 after the interventions. Result: There were significant increases on physical function (F=5.08, p=.002) and significant interaction effects (F=7.42, p=.002) in the intervention group over the three measurement points in time. In addition, there were significant increases on quality of life (F=8.08, p=.002) and significant interaction effects (F=4.89, p=.016) in the intervention group over the three measurement points in time. Conclusion: This study revealed that a Self-management program can be used as an efficient nursing intervention for women with knee osteoarthritis.
