A Study on the Project Manager's Reaction to R&D Evaluation and Its Influencing Factors (연구과제 평가에 대한 과제책임자의 반응과 그 영향요인에 관한 연구)

  • An effort has been made in this paper to measure the project manager's reaction to R&D project evaluation and present the useful information related to rebuilding an R&D evaluation system. Results of this study show that project manager's reaction is related to the selection of reasonable items for evaluation, the rater's expertise, the project manager's participation in evaluation process and so on. Accordingly, managers of the research institute have to set up the evaluation system after deeply considering these results.

  • The rebuilt and redevelopment projects conducted these days surely have invited overpopulation. Its one of the culprits is the municipal ordinances which allow the floor to site area ratio to increase from 200% to 400% in a decade and the adjacent distance ratio from 1.25 to 0.8 times of height of building. Possible solutions for the overpopulation problem are as below. - The floor to site area ratio should be regulated adaptively according to various regional localities. - Draw back the capital gains coming from a rebuilding project For evaluation process; - Select a suitable plan from plurality of proposals - Gradually encourage projects towards remodeling system in the near future

Strategic serial extractions and immediate implantation for interdental papilla preservation: A case report (치간 유두 보존을 위한 전략적 연속발치술과 즉시 임플란트 식립: 증례보고)

  • Maintaining the blood supply of the interdental alveolar bone is crucial for preserving the interdental papilla. Rebuilding the interimplant papilla between adjacent implants is more difficult than rebuilding the interdental papilla between the natural tooth and implant. Therefore, preserving the interimplant tissue is necessary when adjacent implants are closely placed. In this case report, three effective methods for maintaining the surrounding tissue, namely strategic serial extraction, immediate implantation, and provisionalization of adjacent maxillary central incisors, were performed. The marginal gingiva and interimplant papilla were well maintained for 24 months.

Indexing Methods of Splitting XML Documents (XML 문서의 분할 인덱스 기법)

  • Existing indexing mechanisms of XML data using numbering scheme have a drawback of rebuilding the entire index structure when insertion, deletion, and update occurs on the data. We propose a new indexing mechanism based on split blocks to cope with this problem. The XML data are split into blocks, where there exists at most a relationship between two blocks, and numbering scheme is applied to each block. This mechanism reduces the overhead of rebuilding index structures when insertion, deletion, and update occurs on the data. We also propose two algorithms, Parent-Child Block Merge Algorithm and Ancestor-Descendent Algorithm which retrieve the relationship between two entities in the XML hierarchy using this indexing mechanism. We also propose a mechanism in which the identifier of a block has the information of its Parents' block to expedite retrieval process of the ancestor-descendent relationship and also propose two algorithms. Parent-Child Block Merge Algorithm and Ancestor-Descendent Algorithm using this indexing mechanism.

  • Busan metropolitan city faced with very low completion rate of residential environment improvement projects. Main reason is to designate proposed residential environment improvement areas without careful analysis of the possibilities of the improvement project completion. This study aims to clarify and analyze the phase characteristics of residential environment improvement process by using 12 variables representing 5 locational characteristics such as place factors, topological factors, size factors, location condition factors and regulation factors. From results of the analysis, this study finds that business floor area ratio, improvement type and site size affect significantly the completion rate of residential redevelopment projects. However, business floor ratio, improvement type, width of frontage road and slope are significant variables to affect the completion rate of residential rebuilding projects.

  • The effect of Application system with class units is not sufficient because of independency and reuse of Component elements due to component abstraction based on only source code. Therefore We need to apply design pattern approach to represent not only the problem abstraction but also information and relationship between system elements for generic solutions of specific domain, Also, it is essential to software reverse engineering acquiring the correct understandings of the system through examining the existing systems and utilizing the acquired knowledges as reusable resources. In this paper, the extraction algorithm with JAVA and the validity of applying reverse engineering with extracting design patterns from source codes of the existing object-oriented system; are devised. The architecture of automatic tool is designed and implemented for 1) automatic extraction of design patterns and 2) reuse tool for retrieving, editing and rebuilding of design patterns.

  • With the Government's policy of increasing the supply of residential houses in 1970s, the number of apartments have increased dramatically, and as the result, the number of old aged apartment are increasing too. Therefore remodeling is being executed to improve the residential environment. The rate of remodeling is increasing instead of rebuilding because rebuilding takes more resource and because of the realestate issue. There are many uncertainties in construction progress of remodeling such as communication between personnel, demolition and repair work. There are no standard for remodeling construction so such problems have been causing more problems. It has been found that BIM (Building Information Modeling) may be effective for resolving issues of standardization of remodeling construction. Therefore this study wishes to develop a standard process for remodeling work through BIM to estimate the possibility of its use at remodeling sites. Based on this, I wish to contribute to the issue of achieving construction efficiency pursued by BIM.

The immediate effect of the fasting treatment against the depression of the female patient in the menopausal period (절식법으로 치료한 갱년기우울증 1례에 대한 임상보고)

  • purpose : The purpose of this paper is to report that the fasting treatment was quick and effective against the menopausal depression. So that the further study on the fasting treatment for the menopausal depression is expected. methods : This fasting treatment included three periods. The first was to reduce the food intake and the sodium intake as well. The second was for fasting for two weeks. During this period, the patient drank 250cc of the fermented herbal juice and 2500cc of water a day and had the lactobacillus supplement twice a day. Then, the third was for rebuilding. During the rebuilding period, the patient followed the limited sodium diet for two weeks. results : After the fasting treatment done, the symptoms that patient complained before went away. The BDI score went down from 19 to 3. And, of course, the patient lost her body weight and the fat. conclusions : The 49-year-old female patient in the menopause period was suffering from the lack of energy, depression, sleeping disorder, constipation, and weight gain. She took the fasting treatment along with the acupuncture at the holistic medical clinic, 'The Seasons' from Jan 16th 2009 to Feb 27th(the main fasting period was for 14 days). The BDI score indicated that she had the depression as her score was 19 at the first examination. After the treatment was completed, the BDI score dropped to 3. Therefore, I report the immediate effect of the fasting treatment again the depression. Women are twice as likely to get the depression as men. Especially, the women in menopause period tend to get the depression as they are facing the physical, mental, and social changes which can act as the stressors. Besides, women tend to get depressed when they gain weights. Thus, I suggest the further study on the fasting treatment should be carried on so to apply it more positively to various problems in the field of the psychiatry.

Trend and Political Implications of Container Shipping Industry Before and After COVID-19 Pandemic (COVID-19 판데믹 전후의 컨테이너해운업 동향분석과 해운재건을 위한 정책 방향 제언)

  • This study is aming at analysing the current trend of container shipping industry before and after COVID-19 Pandemic circumstances. Also, this study offers the political implications for 'the Korean Shipping Nation Rebuilding'. As a result of this study, the several global shipping lines have decreased their ship capacity in response to International Maritime Organization(IMO)'s environmental regulation. This finding is differ from the media reports, that is many shipping companies increased idling vessel to match the lower demand induced COVID-19 pandemic. This study also provides the two implications of the direction about Korean shipping policy. The first one is that the casual relationship of over-vessels' supply and Korea shipping policy is needed to be thoroughly analyzed. The importance of Koreans shipping industry is generally devaluated by most citizens so as to the Korean government should develop the mass media contents to enlighten the less wellknown people regarding shipping industry.

Healing of CAD Model Errors Using Design History (설계이력 정보를 이용한 CAD모델의 오류 수정)

  • For CAD data users, few things are as frustrating as receiving CAD data that is unusable due to poor data quality. Users waste time trying to get better data, fixing the data, or even rebuilding the data from scratch from paper drawings or other sources. Most related works and commercial tools handle the boundary representation (B-Rep) shape of CAD models. However, we propose a design history?based approach for healing CAD model errors. Because the design history, which covers the features, the history tree, the parameterization data and constraints, reflects the design intent, CAD model errors can be healed by an interdependency analysis of the feature commands or of the parametric data of each feature command, and by the reconstruction of these feature commands through the rule-based reasoning of an expert system. Unlike other B Rep correction methods, our method automatically heals parametric feature models without translating them to a B-Rep shape, and it also preserves engineering information.
