  • 내장형 시스템은 우리들의 생활에 커다란 변화를 가져왔으며, 많은 적용분야와 다양한 기능을 갖추고 있어서 일상 생활에 널리 사용되고 있다. 문제는 이러한 기기들이 마이크로 컨트롤러에 가해지는 전기적 잡음과 전자기 방해가 많은 환경에서 사용되어지고 있다는 점이다. 따라서 이러한 환경에서는 시스템의 안정적인 운영을 도울 수 있는 기술중의 하나인 Watchdog Timer(WDT)가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 WDT를 이용한 시스템 오류제어를 실시간 운영체제인 $UbiFOS^{TM}$에 적용하였다.

  • In this paper, we proposed small scale real-time operating system for embedded system. Real-time system is characterized by the severe consequences that result if logical as well as timing correctness properties of system are not met. On real-time system, real-time operating system allows real-time applications to be designed and expanded easily. Functions can be added without requiring major changes to the software. We design small scale real-time operating system for preemptive kernel, and design kernel component such as multitasking, scheduler, task priority, semaphore, inter-task communication, clock tick timer, ISR(Interrupt Service Routine) mechanism has low interrupt latency.

안드로이드 운영체제 상에서 실시간 통신 방법 (Method of Real-time Communication in Android OS)

  • 안드로이드 운영체제는 스마트폰 시장과 함께 빠르게 자리잡으며 네비게이션, 냉장고 패널 등 다양하게 적용하고 있다. 기존 단말은 정확한 수행 시간이 요구되는 RTOS를 사용하면서 높은 정밀도를 요구하는 서비스의 구현이 가능했으나, 안드로이드는 높은 정밀도의 실시간 성능을 제공할 수 없는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 운영체제에서 동작하는 실시간 통신 방법을 제안한다. 실시간 통신은 UDP 프로토콜을 이용하여 부하를 줄이고, 커널 영역에 고정밀 타이머를 통해서 실시간 운영체제의 타임 틱을 구성한다. 안드로이드 응용 레벨의 라이브러리를 작성하여 실시간 통신을 구현하고 실시간 성능 검증을 위해 기존 안드로이드의 라이브러리와 비교하였다.

광시각용 LED 전광판제어 시스템 설계 (A Design of Large Area Viewing LED Panel Control System)

  • The wide spread of multimedia system demands a large area viewing display device which can inform a message to many people in open area. This paper is about the design of a large area viewing LED panel control system. The control system runs on 16 bit microprocessor MC68EC000 and has following functions: 16 line clock and time, 2 channel priority interrupt, 2 channel direct memory access, 2 channel 12 bit clock and timer, 2 channel infrared remocon receiver, 2 channel RS-232C with 16 byte FIFO, IBM PC/AT compatible keyboard interface, ISA bus, battery backuped real time clock, battery backuped 256 byte SRAM and watch dog timer. The core circuits are implemented to ASIC, considering lower cost, higher reliability, higher performance, smaller dimension, and lower power consumption. This is verified by simulation and fabricated in 0.6 um CMOS SOG processes. The total gate count is 39,083 and the clock frequency is 48 MGz. The fabricated ASIC is mounted on test board.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a PC(personal computer) based open architecture machine tool controller. The hardware of open architecture CNC has generally a motion control board on a PC for controlling a servo motor. But this paper describes open architecture hardware that consists of a PC, a counter board a DAC board and a DIO board only. This makes it easy to generate CNC software module in a hardware-independent way. The proposed open architecture CNC software runs on the MS-Windows NT. The paper describes a method of con-trolling servo motors using a real-time timer of MS-Windows NT and a commercial real-time operating system on the MS-Windows. NT. An open and reconfigurable software module is made up of an object and an API(application programming interface). Using the object and the API a new CNC system can be quickly configured to control dif-ferent machine tools. The proposed open architecture CNC system is applied to 4-axis lettering center.

  • A new method for a guide robot using Real-Time Linux OS is introduced in this paper. A guide robot is to guide people in museums or buildings. So it has to be more reliable and stable in its control system. In addition, it has to satisfy Real-Time operation requirement because it needs to react to changing environment prompty. The task includes localization, map building, collision avoidance, path planning, and user interface software. The modular guide robot is designed with Real-Time Linux OS, which is composed of many open sources for scheduler, interrupt dispatcher, fifos, shared memory, timer services. We developed application software to satisfy the given task.   • The applications developing in distributed object computing enviroments are faced with the difficulties for managing various lots of distributed objects. Also, because the most multimedia service, like video, audio, and so forth, must be satisfied itself with real-time constraints, the users also are feeling with necessary to apply real-time mechanisms to distributed multimedia services. The goal of this paper is to solve the problems for managing distributed objects, and to be easy to develop complex applications that can provide real-time services. To do this, we designed and implemented a real-time object group platform that can be placed between applications and CORBA. This platform is extended the existing object group model[13,14] added to the scheduler and timer object components for supporting real-time concept. We designed the components for platform by using James Rumbaugh object modeling technology that consists of object, function, and dynamic model. And then we described the detailed interfaces of the components by IDL, and implemented our real-time object group's platform using OrbixMT 22 which is the IONA Technologies' ORB product. Finally, we showed the execution procedures of the schduler object of each components in a real-time object group platform.

  • Indicating product quantity by real time can be benefit both worker and management. Worker can compare real product quantity with its target and can adjust working speed to match with goal. Therefore, so called JPH equipment developed to indicate target quantity of product. As a main processor PIC16F877 was used and FND display were used to indicate current time, elapsed time, JPH value and target amount of product. Values like JPH and starting time, etc. are can easily be set by $4{\times}4$ numeric keypad and display datum likes target amount of product, current time and elapsed time, etc are displayed on FND by RS232 serial transmit. The operation of JPH equipment are tested and verified through long term test and are proved acting properly on working conditions.

  • 향후 국내에서 개발되는 저궤도 관측위성의 고성능 탑재컴퓨터로 유럽에서 자체적으로 개발하여 위성용으로 활용하고 있는 MCM-ERC32 를 사용할 예정이다. MCM-ERC32 는 크게 32-비트 ERC32SC 프로세서와 프로세서의 기능을 보완하고 추가적인 기능들을 제공하기 위해 제작된 ASIC인 VASI(Very Advanced Sparc Interface), 그리고 메모리(SRAM, DRAM, EEPROM, etc.)로 구성되어 있다. 위성의 탑재소프트웨어를 설계 및 개발하는데 있어서 가장 기본적으로 요구되는 기능이 타이머이다. 탑재소프트웨어는 타이머를 통하여 태스크들의 관리와 스케쥴링 등을 수행하게 된다. 위성과 같이 높은 정확도가 요구되는 실시간 임베디드 시스템에서는 타이머의 구현이 매우 중요하다. ERC32SC 프로세서 자체에서도 RTC, GPT(General Purpose Timer), WDT(Watchdog Timer)와 같은 기본적인 타이머 기능을 제공하지만 VASI 에서도 클락과 사이클이라는 개념을 이용한 RTC 를 제공한다. 어느 타이머를 사용하는가는 전적으로 개발자의 선택이다. ERC32SC 프로세서에서 제공하는 타이머는 상용의 임베디드 시스템에서 제공하는 기능과 동일하다. 본 논문에서는 위성탑재소프트웨어 개발에 필요한 RTC 를 설계하기 위한 MCM-ERC32 에서 제공하는 VASI RTC 의 구조와 기능에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

  • This paper presents a real-time control technique for the development of a ship main engine remote control system, In general several tasks are executed by the event-driven method in real-time system. However when some tasks have time delay components it is difficult to achieve good real-time performance. To cope with this problem a number of timers in most conventional system have been used. In this paper we introduce a real-time control methodology of dealing effectively with tasks including time delay components using one hardware timer. And also a speed control method of main engine which includes critical revolution range a crash astern and a emergency ahead function a switching method of remote control position and a flickering method for the indication of multi-stage alarm are discussed. As long as functions and method are imple-mented as forms of tasks the development of main engine remote control systems can be easy for different types of engines.
