Although seaman has made a contribution marine transportation and the marine products industry, the current status of preventing occupational disease by monitoring health danger factors is very unsatisfied. Therefore, a monitoring system regarding health condition and disease occurrence of seaman is required. In this paper, we propose a real-time sailor management system based on uniqutious healthcare, which collects various organic signals and analyzes their relation in order to confirm blood pressure, temperature and pulsation of seaman. The proposed system enables a medical doctor to manage the diseases anywhere at any time even via a PC and PDA.
Currently, Korea is an aging society and is expected to become a super-aged society in about four years. X-ray devices are widely used for early diagnosis in hospitals, and many X-ray technologies are being developed. The development of X-ray device technology is important, but it is also important to increase the reliability of the device through accurate data management. Sensor nodes such as temperature, voltage, and current of the diagnosis device may malfunction or transmit inaccurate data due to various causes such as failure or power outage. Therefore, in this study, the temperature, tube voltage, and tube current data related to each sensor and detection circuit of the diagnostic X-ray imaging device were measured and analyzed. Based on QC data, device failure prediction and diagnosis algorithms were designed and performed. The fault diagnosis algorithm can configure a simulator capable of setting user parameter values, displaying sensor output graphs, and displaying signs of sensor abnormalities, and can check the detection results when each sensor is operating normally and when the sensor is abnormal. It is judged that efficient device management and diagnosis is possible because it monitors abnormal data values (temperature, voltage, current) in real time and automatically diagnoses failures by feeding back the abnormal values detected at each stage. Although this algorithm cannot predict all failures related to temperature, voltage, and current of diagnostic X-ray imaging devices, it can detect temperature rise, bouncing values, device physical limits, input/output values, and radiation-related anomalies. exposure. If a value exceeding the maximum variation value of each data occurs, it is judged that it will be possible to check and respond in preparation for device failure. If a device's sensor fails, unexpected accidents may occur, increasing costs and risks, and regular maintenance cannot cope with all errors or failures. Therefore, since real-time maintenance through continuous data monitoring is possible, reliability improvement, maintenance cost reduction, and efficient management of equipment are expected to be possible.

High temperature steam pipes of thermal power plant are subject to a severe thermal range and usually operates well into the creep range. Cyclic operation of the plant subjects the piping system to mechanical and thermal fatigue damages. Also, poor or malfunctional supports can impose massive loads or stress onto the piping system. In order to prevent the serious damage and failure of the critical piping system, various inspection methods such as visual inspection, computational analysis and on-line piping displacement monitoring were developed. 3-dimensional piping displacement monitoring system was developed with using the aluminum alloy rod and rotary encoder sensors, this system was installed and operated on the high temperature steam piping of "Y" thermal power plant successfully. It is expected that this study will contribute to the safety of piping system, which could minimize stress and extend the actual life of critical piping.
An experimental device was developed for analysis of hydraulic oil characteristics with dielectric constant sensors. Online analysis is the most effective method of the three methods used for analyzing lubricant oils. This is because it can monitor the machine condition effectively using oil sensors in real time without requiring excellent analysis skill and eliminates human errors. Determining the oil quality usually requires complex laboratory equipment for measuring factors such as density, viscosity, base number, acid number, water content, additive, and wear debris. However, the electric constant is another indicator of oil quality that can be measured on-site. The electric constant is the ratio of the capacitance of a capacitor using that material as a dielectric, compared with a similar capacitor that has a vacuum as its dielectric. The electric constant affects the factors such as the base oil, additive, temperature, electric field frequency, water content, and contaminants. In this study, the tendency of the electric constant is investigated with a variation of temperature, water content, and dust weight. The experimental device can control working temperature and mix the contaminants with oil. A machine condition monitoring program developed to analyze hydraulic oil is described. This program provides graph and digital values with variation of time. Moreover, it includes an alarm system for when the oil condition is bad.
Dynamic displacement response of civil structures is an important index for in-construction and in-service structural condition assessment. However, accurately measuring the displacement of large-scale civil structures such as high-rise buildings still remains as a challenging task. In order to cope with this problem, a vision-based system with the use of industrial digital camera and image processing has been developed for long-distance, remote, and real-time monitoring of dynamic displacement of supertall structures. Instead of acquiring image signals, the proposed system traces only the coordinates of the target points, therefore enabling real-time monitoring and display of displacement responses in a relatively high sampling rate. This study addresses the in-situ experimental verification of the developed vision-based system on the Canton Tower of 600 m high. To facilitate the verification, a GPS system is used to calibrate/verify the structural displacement responses measured by the vision-based system. Meanwhile, an accelerometer deployed in the vicinity of the target point also provides frequency-domain information for comparison. Special attention has been given on understanding the influence of the surrounding light on the monitoring results. For this purpose, the experimental tests are conducted in daytime and nighttime through placing the vision-based system outside the tower (in a brilliant environment) and inside the tower (in a dark environment), respectively. The results indicate that the displacement response time histories monitored by the vision-based system not only match well with those acquired by the GPS receiver, but also have higher fidelity and are less noise-corrupted. In addition, the low-order modal frequencies of the building identified with use of the data obtained from the vision-based system are all in good agreement with those obtained from the accelerometer, the GPS receiver and an elaborate finite element model. Especially, the vision-based system placed at the bottom of the enclosed elevator shaft offers better monitoring data compared with the system placed outside the tower. Based on a wavelet filtering technique, the displacement response time histories obtained by the vision-based system are easily decomposed into two parts: a quasi-static ingredient primarily resulting from temperature variation and a dynamic component mainly caused by fluctuating wind load.
This study investigated the feasibility of penetration depth measurement using infrared temperature sensing on the weld surface. The detection point was optimized by FEM analysis in the laser keyhole welding. The profile of the weld surface temperature was measured using infrared detector array. Surface temperature behind the weld pool is proportional or exponentially proportional to penetration depth and bead width. From the results, the monitoring device of surface temperature using infrared detector array was applicable fur real time penetration depth control.

Most agriculture plantings are based on traditional farming and demand a lot of human work processes. In order to improve the efficiency as well as the productivity of their farms, modern agricultural technology was proven to be better than traditional practices. Internet of Things (IoT) is usually related in modern agriculture which provides the farmer with a real-time monitoring condition of their farm from anywhere and anytime. Therefore, the application of IoT with a sensor to measure and monitors the humidity and the temperature in the mushroom farm that can overcome this problem. This paper proposes an IoT based monitoring system forindoor Ganoderma lucidum cultivation at a minimal cost in terms of hardware resources and practicality. The results show that the data of temperature and humidity are changing depending on the weather and the preliminary experimental results demonstrated that all parameters of the system were optimized and successful to achieve the objective. In addition, the analysis results show that the quality of Ganoderma lucidum produced on the research method conforms to regulations in Vietnam.
The real-time monitoring of surface vegetation is essential for the management of droughts, vegetation growth, and water resources. The availability of land cover maps based on remotely collected data makes the monitoring of surface vegetation easier. The vegetation index in an area is likely to be proportional to meteorological elements there such as air temperature and precipitation. This study investigated relationship between vegetation index based on Moderate Resolution Image Spectroradiometer (MODIS) and ground-measured meteorological elements at the Yongdam catchment station. To do this, 16-day averaged data were used. It was found that the vegetation index is well correlated to air temperature but poorly correlated to precipitation. The study provides some intuition and guidelines for the study of the droughts and ecologies in the future.
This study investigated the effect of the system parameters on penetration depth measurement using infrared temperature sensing system. The distance from focusing lens to detector was varied to diminish the error in measuring weld bead width. The effect of bead surface shape on measured surface temperature profile was evaluated using specimen heated by electric resistance. The measuring distance from laser beam was changed to optimize the measuring point. The results indicated that the monitoring device of surface temperature using infrared detector array was applicable to real time penetration depth control.
The intertidal zone has both land and marine characteristics and shows complex weather environments. These characteristics are suited for studying climate change, energy balance and ecosystems, and may play an important role in coastal and marine weather prediction and analysis. This study was conducted at Odo Island, approximately 300m from the mainland in Yeosu. We built a weather observation system capable of real-time monitoring on the mud flat in the intertidal zone and measured actual weather and marine data. Weather observation was conducted from April to June 2022. The results showed changes in air temperature and water temperature with changes in the tide level during spring. Correlation analysis revealed characteristic changes in air temperature and water temperature during the day and night, and with inundation and exposure.
