This study aims to develop the information service system of integrated seakeeping performance for seagoing vessels. It has been successful in developing the intended system which has made possible to provide the following functions and capabilities. o immediate computation of the dynamic motions of a ship against the present and future weather conditions; o evaluation of the integrated seakeeping performance of a ship on a real time basis and providing the navigators with the seakeeping informations on the spot enabling them to take the most appropriate countermeasures; and o supporting the navigators in the selection of a safe sailing route by providing the integrate seakeeping performance.

In the present study, we developed a real-time radiation-monitoring sensor for an underwater radiation-monitoring system and evaluated its effectiveness using reference radiation sources. The monitoring sensor was designed and miniaturized using a silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) and a cerium-doped-gadolinium-aluminum-gallium-garnet (Ce:GAGG) scintillator, and an underwater wireless monitoring system was implemented by employing a remote Bluetooth communication module. An acrylic water tank and reference radiation sources ($^{137}Cs$, $^{90}Sr$) were used to evaluate the effectiveness of the monitoring sensor. The underwater monitoring sensor's detection response and efficiency for gamma rays and beta particles as well as the linearity of the response according to the gammaray intensity were verified through an evaluation. This evaluation is expected to contribute to the development of base technology for an underwater radiation-monitoring system.

Cloud Network에서 Computing과 마찬가지로 원격지 전력IT기기에 대한 경제성과 산업기술에 대한 평가가 필요하다. 또한 Computer와 Network에서는 기술적인 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 원격지에서 전력IT기기 제품의 성능평가와 제품인증을 받기 위한 연구이다. 원격지 전력IT 기기의 제품별 기능, 모듈별 기능, 전력전송효율 평가값, 성능값, 허용오차 값 등의 대량 데이터가 존재하여, 전력IT 기기의 평가설계 및 DB, 웹환경에서 개발된 제조사, 평가기관, 인증기관의 주체가 원격지에서 실시간으로 표준화된 원격지 전력IT기기에 대한 평가 인증 프로세스와 평가 인증 값을 국제표준화에 맞출 수 있도록 연구한다.

This paper proposes a high performance QoS (Quality of Service) traffic transmission scheme to provide real-time multimedia services in wireless networks. This scheme is based on both a traffic estimation of the mean rate and a header compression method by dividing this network model into two parts, core RTP/UDP/IP network and wireless access parts, using the IEEE 802.11 WLAN. The improvement achieved by the scheme means that it can be designed to include a means of provisioning the high performance QoS strategy according to the requirements of each particular traffic flow by adapting the header compression for real-time multimedia data. A performance evaluation was carried out to show the effectiveness of the proposed traffic transmission scheme.

This paper proposes a Web Based Online Real-time Information System for Outage Cost Assessment. This system developed in this study is just only prototype as previous stage but no commercial system. Using this system, the evaluation of reliability worth is the customer cost associated with a loss of supply may be assessed and the information will be serviced online real time on smart phone.

Total Transfer Capability (TTC) should be pre-determined in order to estimate Available Transfer Capability (ATC). Typically, TTC is determined by considering three categories; voltage, stability and thermal limits. Among these, thermal limits are treated mainly in this paper on the evaluation of TTC due to the relatively short transmission line length of Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) system. This paper presents a new approach to evaluate the TTC using the Dynamic Line Rating (DLR) for the thermal limit. Since the approach includes not only traditional electrical constraints but also real-time environmental constraints, this paper obtains more cost-effective and exact results. A case study using KEPCO system confirms that the proposed method is useful for real-time operation and the planning of the electricity market.

Quick evaluations of two in-plane orbit maneuvers using small sets of real-time GPS navigation solutions were performed for the KOMPSAT-1 spacecraft operation. Real-time GPS navigation solutions of the KOMPSAT-1 were collected during the Korean Ground Station(KGS) pass. Only a few sets of position and velocity data after completion of the thruster firing were used for the quick maneuver evaluations. The results were used for antenna pointing data predictions for the next station contact. Normal orbit maneuver evaluations using large sets of playback GPS navigation solutions were also performed and the result were compared with the quick evaluation results.

The real-time industrial network, often referred to as fieldbus, is an important element for building automated manufacturing systems. Thus, in order to satisfy the real time requirements of field devices such as sensors, actuators, and controllers, numerous standard organizations and vendors have developed various fieldbus protocols. As a result, IEC 61158 protocol including Profibus, WorldFIP, and Foundation Fieldbus is recently announced as an international standard. Automated Storage and Retrieval System (AS/RS), which is an element of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), is a widely used material handling equipment with conveyors and Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs). Until now the evaluation of operational policies of AS/RS and control algorithms is done theoretically or by computer simulations. In this study, a real-time control and monitoring software of an AS/RS is also developed by making actually moving AS/RS miniature. A PC-based real-time monitoring program can control the AS/RS directly through the communication port. The monitoring program has additional functions such as storage/retrieval management, inventory management, and statistics management. The program can not only collect the necessary statistics but monitor the current action of the AS/RS concurrently.

This paper presents techniques for evaluation and compensation of total measuring errors in a commercial CMM. The probe errors as well as the machine geometric errors are assessed from probing of the mechanical artefacts such as shpere, step, and rings. For the error compensation, the integrated volumetric error equations are considered, including the probe error adn the machine geometric error. The error compensation is performed on the absolute scale coordinate system, in order to overcome the redundant degree of freedom in the CMM with multi-axis probe. A interface box and corresponding software driver are developed for data intercepting/correction between the machine controller and machine, thus the volumetric errors can be compensated in real time with minimum interference to the operating software and hardware of a commercial CMM. The developed system applied to a practical CMM installed on the shop floor, and demonstrated its performance.
