한전 실시간 시뮬레이터를 위한 등가계통 구성 연구 (Development of Equivalent Systems for the KEPCO Enhanced Power System Simulator)

  • For the real-time power system analysis, there exists a limitation to the scale of the system to be simulated, hence it is necessary for the real-time simulation to develop reduced equivalent systems which preserve the desired property of the original system. In this paper, a procedure for developing an equivalent system whose scale is reduced within the hardware capacity of a real-time simulator is proposed. Also, the proposed procedure is applied to a KEPCO's system. The comparison between the original system and equivalent systems illustrates the capabilities of the proposed procedure.

ToyLotos/Ada : 실시간 Ada 소프트웨어 개발을 위한 객체행위 시뮬레이션 시스템 (ToyLotos/Ada : Object-Behavior Simulation System for Developing a Real-time Ada Software)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존 객체행위 설계방법에 의해 개발된 '시각적 실시간 객체모델'의 설계의미를 검증·확인하기 위한 시뮬레이션 기반 지원 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 실행 가능한 Ada 코드 생성에 의한 객체 프로세스들간의 동적이 상호작용을 시뮬레이션 할 수 있게 하며, 실제 시스템 구현에 앞서 여러 가지 논리적, 시간적 문제들을 검출할 수 있게 한다. 또한, 시뮬레이션에 의해 검증·확인된 명세서로부터 Ada 프로토타잎 코드를 직접 생성시켜 준다. 이 시스템은 Visual C++ 버전4.2로 개발되었다. 그리고, 시뮬레이션 코드로 Ada를 사용하였는데, 이것은 Ada의 병행 행위 및 시간 표현력 등의 실시간 시스템의 표현력에 있어 기존의 언어들에 비해 우수성을 가지고 있기 때문이다. 이 작업은 방법론 기반 시각적 모델과 자동화 된 정형기법 기반 시뮬레이션 시스템의 연결, 그리고 자동화된 명세 검증·확인 기술의 실현이라는 점에서 기여한다.

  • 최근 컴퓨터 하드웨어의 성능이 증가함에 따라, 휴대용 전자 기기 뿐만 아니라 개인 컴퓨터에서도 더 사실적인 컴퓨터 그래픽 물체들을 생성하고 보여줄 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 이유로, 컴퓨터 그래픽을 포함한 디지털 콘텐츠는 더 계산적 비용이 높은 사실적인 가상의 물체들을 다양한 기기에서 실시간으로 표현하는 것을 요구한다. 멀티-플랫폼에서 구동되며 컴퓨터 그래픽을 포함한 게임, 애니메이션 등의 콘텐츠의 제작을 돕기 위해서는 유니티와 언리얼 엔진과 같은 기술들이 주로 사용된다. 시뮬레이션에서 더 사실적인 가상의 물체의 움직임을 표현하기 위해서는, 가상의 물체는 다른 물체들과 충돌해야 하며 현실세계와 비슷한 반응을 보여야 한다. 하지만, 다이나믹 시뮬레이션은 많은 계산 비용을 요구하나, 대부분의 휴대용 기기들을 이러한 다이나믹 시뮬레이션을 실시간으로 제공하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 GPGPU 계산을 이용하여 구형 물체와 실시간으로 충돌 및 반응을 수행하는 천 시뮬레이션을 제안한다. 제안된 방법이 사실적인 디지털 콘텐츠에 유용할 것으로 기대된다.

A model-based adaptive control method for real-time hybrid simulation

  • Real-time hybrid simulation (RTHS), which has the advantages of a substructure pseudo-dynamic test, is widely used to investigate the rate-dependent mechanical response of structures under earthquake excitation. However, time delay in RTHS can cause inaccurate results and experimental instabilities. Thus, this study proposes a model-based adaptive control strategy using a Kalman filter (KF) to minimize the time delay and improve RTHS stability and accuracy. In this method, the adaptive control strategy consists of three parts-a feedforward controller based on the discrete inverse model of a servohydraulic actuator and physical specimen, a parameter estimator using the KF, and a feedback controller. The KF with the feedforward controller can significantly reduce the variable time delay due to its fast convergence and high sensitivity to the error between the desired displacement and the measured one. The feedback control can remedy the residual time delay and minimize the method's dependence on the inverse model, thereby improving the robustness of the proposed control method. The tracking performance and parametric studies are conducted using the benchmark problem in RTHS. The results reveal that better tracking performance can be obtained, and the KF's initial settings have limited influence on the proposed strategy. Virtual RTHSs are conducted with linear and nonlinear physical substructures, respectively, and the results indicate brilliant tracking performance and superb robustness of the proposed method.

Development of an Impedance Locus Model for a Protective Relay Dynamic Test with a Digital Simulator

  • This paper presents a method for the development of the impedance locus to test the dynamic characteristics of protective relays. Specifically, using the proposed method, the impedance locus can comprise three impedance points, and the speed of impedance trajectory can be adjusted by frequency deviation. This paper is divided into two main sections. The first section deals with the configuration of impedance locus with voltage magnitude, total impedance magnitude, and impedance angle. The second section discusses the control of the locus speed with the means of the deviation between two frequencies. The proposed method is applied to two machine equivalent systems with offline simulation (i.e., PSCAD) and real-time simulation (i.e., real-time simulation environment) to demonstrate its effectiveness.

Design and Development of an Advanced Real-Time Satellite Simulator

  • An advanced real-time satellite simulator (ARTSS) has been developed to support the ground operations activities of the ETRI satellite control system, such as testing of the system facilities, validation of flight control procedures, verification of satellite commands as well as training of the ground operators. The design of ARTSS is based on the top-down approach and makes use of a modular programming to ensure flexibility in modification and expansion of the system. Graphics-based monitoring and control facilities enhance the satellite simulation environment. The software spacecraft model in ARTSS simulates the characteristics of a geostationary communication satellite using a momentum bias three-axis stabilization control technique. The system can be also interfaced with a hardware payload subsystem such as Ku-band communication transponder to enhance the simulator capability. Therefore, ARTSS is a high fidelity satellite simulation tool that can be used on low-cost desk top computers. In this paper, we describe the design features, the simulation models and the real-time operating functions of the simulator.

전기철도용 실시각 급전시뮬레이터 제작 (Manufacture of Real-time Power Simulator for Electric Railway)

  • Recently, the high speed train was operated and then the train system's reliability requirements are growing more and more. The exact prediction simulation is necessary in the design of power feeding system by the increase of railway electrification. In order to develope the AC feeding system analysis technology, real-time power simulator was manufactured. It is composed to eight channels analog input, forty channels analog output and forty-eight channels digital I/O. The size of simulator rack is 19" and the two I/O boards are installed the PXI chassis built into the real time os. The signal I/O is possible through BNC connector. The test results of manufactured simulator are obtained that the error range of analog I/O signal is below 1 % and simulation condition is set to 1 ms and the simulation output of the analog output compares the results of the simulator.
