  • 본 논문에서의 새로운 스케줄링은 모바일 간에 실시간으로 요구하는 모든 최소 가용 대역폭, 최대 지연 시간 그리고 다른 부수적인 조건들에 대해 QoS를 보장하는 핸드오버 요청들을 제공하기 위해 제안되었다. 입력으로는 모바일 스테이션이 서비스지역 이동간에서 발생하는 핸드오버 시간에 대한 예측이 필요하다. QoS와 핸드오버 시간을 알게 된 후, 목적지 기지국은 새로운 요청을 위한 핸드오버에 우선순위를 둔다. 그리고 이전의 리소스는 실제로 핸드오버 동안 사용할 수 있는 기회를 조금 더 가지게 된다.

  • In this paper to cope with the reduction of products life-cycle as the variety of products along with the various demands of consumers, a virtual simulator is developed to make the changeover of manufacturing line efficient to embody a virtual simulation similar to a real manufacturing line. The developed virtual simulator can design a layout of a factory and make the time scheduling. Every factory has one simulator so that one product can be manufactured in the factories to use them as virtual factories. We suggest a scheme that heightens the ability to the diversity of manufacturing models by making the information of manufacturing lines and products models to be shared. The developed system embodies a virtual manufacturing line on the simulation using various manipulators and work cells as manufacturing components. we develop a virtual simulator system on Window 98/NT environment of Microsoft, operating system using of the greater part of PC user. Window program have a merit making GUI environment that programmer can use without the expert knowledge about hardware. A suer with the simulator can utilize an interface that makes one to manage the separate task process for each manufacturing module, change operator components and work cells, and easily teach tasks of each task module.

서비스수준을 고려한 GIS기반의 차량 운송시스템 (Design of a GIS-Based Distribution System with Service Consideration)

  • This paper is concerned with the development of a GIS-based distribution system with service consideration. The proposed model could be used for a wide range of logistics applications in planning, engineering and operational purpose for logistics system. This research addresses the formulation of those complex prob1ems of two-echelon logistics system to plan the incorporating supply center locations and distribution problems based on GIS. We propose an integrated logistics model for determining the optimal patterns of supply centers and inventory allocations (customers) with a three-step sequential approach. 1) First step, Developing GIS-distance model and stochastic set-covering program to determine Optimel pattern of supply center location. 2) Second step, Optimal sector-clustering to support customers. 3) Third step, Optimal vehicle rouse scheduling based on GIS, GIS-VRP In this research we developed GUI-tree program, the GIS-VRP provide the vehicle to users and freight information in real time. We applied a set of sample examples to this model and demonstrated samp1e results. It has been found that the proposed model is potentially efficient and useful in solving multi-depot problem through examples. However the proposed model can provide logistics decision makers to get the best supply schedule.

Real-time Optimal Operation Planning of Isolated Microgrid Considering SOC balance of ESS

  • The operating system for an isolated microgrid, which is completely disconnected from the central power system, aims at preventing blackouts and minimizing power generation costs of diesel generators through efficient operation of the energy storage system (ESS) that stores energy produced by renewable energy generators and diesel generators. In this paper, we predict the amount of renewable energy generation using the weather forecast and build an optimal diesel power generation plan using a genetic algorithm. In order to avoid inefficiency due to inaccurate prediction of renewable energy generation, our search algorithm imposes penalty on candidate diesel power generation plans that fail to maintain the SOC (state of charge) of ESS at an appropriate level. Simulation experiments show that our optimization method for maintaining an appropriate SOC balance can prevent the blackout better when compared with the previous method.

The Development of an Intelligent Home Energy Management System Integrated with a Vehicle-to-Home Unit using a Reinforcement Learning Approach

  • Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) and Home Centralized Photovoltaic (HCPV) systems can address various energy storage issues and enhance demand response programs. Renewable energy, such as solar energy and wind turbines, address the energy gap. However, no energy management system is currently available to regulate the uncertainty of renewable energy sources, electric vehicles, and appliance consumption within a smart microgrid. Therefore, this study investigated the impact of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, electric vehicles, and Micro-Grid (MG) storage on maximum solar radiation hours. Several Deep Learning (DL) algorithms were applied to account for the uncertainty. Moreover, a Reinforcement Learning HCPV (RL-HCPV) algorithm was created for efficient real-time energy scheduling decisions. The proposed algorithm managed the energy demand between PV solar energy generation and vehicle energy storage. RL-HCPV was modeled according to several constraints to meet household electricity demands in sunny and cloudy weather. Simulations demonstrated how the proposed RL-HCPV system could efficiently handle the demand response and how V2H can help to smooth the appliance load profile and reduce power consumption costs with sustainable power generation. The results demonstrated the advantages of utilizing RL and V2H as potential storage technology for smart buildings.

  • 무선 네트워크 사용자가 폭발적으로 증가하구 서비스 종류들이 다양해짐에 따라 고 전송률 및 사용자의 QoS(Quality of Service) 보장에 대한 요구가 강화되고 있는 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위한 해결 방안으로 직교 주파수 분할 다원 접속 시스템 상에서 사용자 QoS 요구사항의 만족을 고려한 주파수 자원 할당 기법을 제안한다. 즉, 본 논문에서는 시간 분할 다원 접속 시스템에서 지연에 민감한 사용자의 QoS 만족을 위하여 송신 기지국과 각각의 사용자들 사이의 통계적인 채널 특성과 더불어 사용자마다의 실시간 큐잉 분석을 고려한 M-LWDF(Modified-Largest Weighted Delay First)를 기반 한 자원할당 기반의 RR(Round Robin) 및 K&H(Knopp&Humblet) 결합 스케줄링을 제안하며, 이를 통해 전체적인 시스템의 전송률 향상과 지연에 민감한 서비스를 요구하는 사용자의 QoS를 만족시킬 수 있다는 점을 확인한다. 또한 제안한 기법을 OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) 시스템에 적용하여 최적의 부 캐리어 할당을 통한 사용자 스케쥴링을 수행한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 기법의 성능을 분석하기 위하여 물리계층의 채널 특성으로부터 구해진 실효 링크 계층 용량을 고려하여 모의실험을 수행하였다.

사출성형 공정에서의 통합정비방법에 관한 연구 (An Integrated Maintenance in Injection Molding Processes)

  • Recently as the manufacturers want competitiveness in dynamically changing environment, they are trying a lot of efforts to be efficient with their production systems, which may be achieved by diminishing unplanned operation stops. The operation stops and maintenance cost are known to be significantly decreased by adopting proper maintenance strategy. Therefore, the manufacturers were more getting interested in scheduling of exact maintenance scheduling to keep smooth operation and prevent unexpected stops. In this paper, we proposedan integrated maintenance approach in injection molding manufacturing line. It consists of predictive and preventive maintenance approach. The predictive maintenance uses the statistical process control technique with the real-time data and the preventive maintenance is based on the checking period of machine components or equipment. For the predictive maintenance approach, firstly, we identified components or equipment that are required maintenance, and then machine parameters that are related with the identified components or equipment. Second, we performed regression analysis to select the machine parameters that affect the quality of the manufactured products and are significant to the quality of the products. By this analysis, we can exclude the insignificant parameters from monitoring parameters and focus on the significant parameters. Third, we developed the statistical prediction models for the selected machine parameters. Current models include regression, exponential smoothing and so on. We used these models to decide abnormal patternand to schedule maintenance. Finally, for other components or equipment which is not covered by predictive approach, we adoptedpreventive maintenance approach. To show feasibility we developed an integrated maintenance support system in LabView Watchdog Agent and SQL Server environment and validated our proposed methodology with experimental data.

크리티컬한 제어 시스템용 고강건 무선 센서 액추에이터 네트워크 (Robust Wireless Sensor and Actuator Network for Critical Control System)

  • 무선 링크의 불확실성과 임베디드 장치의 결함으로 인하여 무선 네트워크 기반 제어 시스템의 안정성을 보장하는 것은 여전한 도전과제이다. 본 논문에서는 시간, 채널 및 공간 자원의 다양성을 조합하여 계층적 클러스터 기반 고강건 무선 센서 액추에이터 네트워크(R-WSAN; Robust Wireless Sensor and Actuator Network )를 제시한다. R-WSAN은 무선 네트워크 자원 할당을 위한 스케줄링 알고리즘과 다중 플랜트의 제어 안정성을 보장하기 위한 제어 업무 공유 알고리즘을 포함한다. 또한, 제시된 프로토콜은 Zolertia RE-Mote 임베디드 하드웨어와 Contiki-NG를 기반으로 구현되고, 실험을 통하여 성능을 분석 하였다. 실험 결과를 통해 R-WSAN이 무선 링크 및 노드의 결함에도 고강건성을 보장하는 것을 보여 주었다. 또한, 제시된 스케줄링 알고리즘과 제어 공유 알고리즘을 통해, 제어 노드의 결함에도 제어 시스템의 안정성을 보장할 수 있음을 보여주었다.

그리드 네트워크에서의 QoS 보장방법 구현 (A Method on the Realization of QoS Guarantee in the Grid Network)

  • 그리드 컴퓨팅은 컴퓨팅 자원을 비용편익 측면에서 가장 효율적으로 만들 수 있는 능력을 가지고 있으며, 클러스터링 등의 기술로는 해결하기 어렵거나 시간이 오래 지체되어지는 대량의 컴퓨팅 능력을 요구하는 어려운 문제들을 풀기에 더 없이 좋은 방법 중에 하나이다. 이러한 그리드 컴퓨팅을 효율적으로 수행하기 위해서 지리적으로 분산되어 있는 고성능 컴퓨팅 자원을 실시간으로 상호 연결하기 위해 Grid Application이 필요하게 되었고, 이에 미국의 ANL(Argonne National Laboratory)를 주축으로 하여 여러 대학의 연구진에 의해 Globus가 만들어지게 되었다. 그러나, 이러한 Globus상에서 Grid Application을 실행시켜 일정의 Job을 네트워크를 통하여 주고받을 때, QoS가 보장되지 않는 문제점이 발견되었다. 그리하여 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 GARA(Globus Architecture for Reservation and Allocation)가 ANL에 의해서 개발 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 GARA의 성능을 테스트하기 위하여 Testbed를 구축하여 GARA의 자원 예약 명령을 통해 자원을 예약을 수행하고, 그에 따른 적용 결과 및 추후 연구방향에 대하여 논하였다.

풍력발전의 변동성을 고려한 기동정지계획에서의 적정 Ramping 용량 산정 (Evaluation of Ramping Capability for Day-ahead Unit Commitment considering Wind Power Variability)

  • Wind energy is rapidly becoming significant generating technologies in electricity markets. As probabilistic nature of wind energy creates many uncertainties in the short-term scheduling, additional actions for reliable market operation should be taken. This paper presents a novel approach to evaluate ramping capability requirement for changes in imbalance energy between day-ahead market and real-time market due to uncertainty of wind generation as well as system load. Dynamic ramp rate model has been applied for realistic solution in unit commitment problem, which is implemented in day-ahead market. Probabilistic optimal power flow has been used to verify ramping capability determined by the proposed method is reasonable in economic and reliable aspects. This approach was tested on six-bus system and IEEE 118-bus system with a wind farm. The results show that the proposed approach provides ramping capability information to meet both forecasted variability and desired confidence level of anticipated uncertainty.
