The field-programmable gate array (FPGA) is gaining popularity in industrial automation such as nuclear power plant instrumentation and control (I&C) systems due to the benefits of having non-existence of operating system, minimum software errors, and minimum common reason failures. Separate functions can be processed individually and in parallel on the same integrated circuit using FPGAs in comparison to the conventional microprocessor-based systems used in any plant operations. The use of FPGAs offers the potential to minimize complexity and the accompanying difficulty of securing regulatory approval, as well as provide superior protection against obsolescence. Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are a new technology for acquiring and processing plant data wirelessly in which sensor nodes are configured for real-time signal processing, data acquisition, and monitoring. ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4) is an open worldwide standard for minimum power, low-cost machine-to-machine (M2M), and internet of things (IoT) enabled wireless network communication. It is always a challenge to follow the specific topology when different Zigbee nodes are placed in a large network such as a plant. The research article focuses on the hardware chip design of different topological structures supported by ZigBee that can be used for monitoring and controlling the different operations of the plant and evaluates the performance in Vitex-5 FPGA hardware. The research work presents a strategy for configuring FPGA with ZigBee sensor nodes when communicating in a large area such as an industrial plant for real-time monitoring.
To evaluate the risk of leakage when using liquid hydrogen, a leakage test was conducted using liquid nitrogen in an outdoor environment rather than a laboratory environment. To assume a real-scale continuous leak, liquid nitrogen was allowed to leak for 5 minutes through a pipe with a diameter of 25.4 mm at a design spill rate of 60 L/min. The measurement system consisted of devices for climate conditions, LN2 spread and vapor clouds. The main experimental results are the liquid pool radius and the concentration of vapor cloud, and the radius of the liquid pool was compared with the numerical analysis results.
Brachyspira (B.) hyodysenteriae is a causative agent of swine dysentery that is responsible for death and economic losses in the pig industry. It is imperative that clinical samples be delivered fresh for accurate diagnosis. The viability and DNA detection of B. hyodysenteriae using lab-made (phosphate buffered saline and modified tryptic soy broth) or commercial transport media (C, D, and E) were compared by culturing and real-time PCR at $4^{\circ}C$ or room temperature (RT), respectively. B. hyodysenteriae grown in D (Anaerobe Systems, USA) and E (Starplex Scientific, Canada) media was viable for 4 days at $4^{\circ}C$ and RT. However, B. hyodysenteriae in A, B, and C (culture swab; BD Biosciences, USA) media were not recovered after 2 days at RT. Ct values for real-time PCR at $4^{\circ}C$ and RT ranged from $27.2{\pm}2.1$ (C) to $29.6{\pm}0.5$ (B), and $28.0{\pm}0.9$ (E) to $30.2{\pm}1.5$ (B), respectively. Considering the field conditions, it is important that transport media is used for specimen isolation and PCR to obtain an accurate diagnosis of swine dysentery.

In this paper, we proposed the method to design fuzzy controller using the experience of the operating expert and experimental numeric data for the robust control about the noise and disturbance instead of the traditional PID controller for the main steam temperature control of the thermal power plant. The temperature of main steam temperature process has to be controlled uniformly for the stable electric power output. The process has the problem of the hunting for the cases of various disturbances. In that case, the manual action of the operator happened to be introduced in some cases. We adopted the TSK (Takagi-Sugeno-Kang) model as the fuzzy controller and designed the fuzzy rules using the informations extracted directly from the real plant and various operating condition to solve the above problems and to apply practically. We implemented the real fuzzy controller as the Function Block module in the DCS(Distributed Control System) and evaluated the feasibility through the experimental results of the simulation.
In this study, we used functional genomic strategies, proteomics and quantitative real-time (qRT)-PCR, to advance our understanding of genes associated with fumonisin production in the fungus Fusarium verticillioides. Earlier studies have demonstrated that deletion of the FCC1 gene, which encodes a C-type cyclin, leads to a drastic reduction in fumonisin production and conidiation in the mutant strain (FT536). The premise of our research was that comparative analysis of F. verticillioides wild-type and FT536 proteomes will reveal putative proteins, and ultimately corresponding genes, that are important for fumonisin biosynthesis. We isolated proteins that were significantly upregulated in either the wild type or FT536 via two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, and subsequently obtained sequences by mass spectrometry. Homologs of identified proteins, e.g., carboxypeptidase, laccase, and nitrogen metabolite repression protein, are known to have functions involved in fungal secondary metabolism and development. We also identified gene sequences corresponding to the selected proteins and investigated their transcriptional profiles via quantitative real-time (qRT)-PCR in order to identify genes that show concomitant expression patterns during fumonisin biosynthesis. These genes can be selected as targets for functional analysis to further verify their roles in $FB_1$ biosynthesis.

Event-specific PCR detection methods are the primary trend in genetically modified (GM) plant detection owing to their high specificity based on the flanking sequence of the exogenous integrant. Therefore, this study describes a real-time PCR system for event-specific GM canola GT73, consisting of a set of primers, TaqMan probe, and single target standard plasmid. For the specific detection of GT73 canola, the 3'-integration junction sequence between the host plant DNA and the integrated specific border was targeted. To validate the proposed method, test samples of 0, 1, 3, 5, and 10% GT73 canola were quantified. The method was also assayed with 15 different plants, and no amplification signal was observed in a real-time PCR assay with any of the species tested, other than GT73 canola.
The paper describes the contents and results of the national project named "Development of Computer Integrated Product Design for Automation Equipment". It is focussed on the real-time control '||'&'||' monitoring of manufacturing process for automobile rubber parts. Automobile rubber parts industy is one of the typical process that high11 depends upon manufacturing facilities and equipments. So. it requires high cost and engineering technolog) on plant implementation. But most companies of rubber parts industries are small or mid companies that habe weak abilities for plant implementation properly and systematically. Therefore, for upgrading the levelof automation. it is necessar). to dekelope the computer based management and monitoring slsteni that enables to build-up the common base of automation and systemization. 'Through this project. we developed low cost real-time monitoring system for banbun mixing process '||'&'||' mold injection process of rubbcr parts manufacturing, that is composed with DDCU(Distributed Digital Control Unit),signal interfaces to gathering mon~toring terms and speciall\ developed functional sofhare including some algorithm for management '||'&'||' process monitoring
