PMN-PT-BT 고용체의 합성반응기구 (Reaction Mechanism in the Formation of PMN-PT-BT Solid Solution)

  • Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3-BaTiO3 solid solution was formed by mixed-oxide method. The phase during formation was analysed by XRD and formation mechanism was investigated. While heat-treating Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 composition, the first, Pb2Nb2O7 and Pb3Nb2O8 pyrochlore phases are formed, and finally Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 perovskite phase with containing Pb3Nb4O13 pyrochlore phase is obtained at 80$0^{\circ}C$. When Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 composition is modified with PbTiO3 which have strong ionic bonding and high tolerance factor, the amount of pyrochlore phase is decreased by increasing of stability in perovskite structure.

  • High flexible lightweight composites containing tobermorite as a main mineral is produced using various amorphous silicates, lime, cement and fibers. Here, Mechanical properties of the composites were studied by observing microstructures of hydrates and fibers. Amorphous silicates having better hydraulicity retarded the crystallization of tobermorite due to better formation of C-S-H gel in water bath curing, but, difficult conversion from C-S-H gel to tobermorite in hydrothermal reaction. In the low molar ratio of CaO/SiO2 (0.67), faster crystalization was observed dued to more impurities such as Al2O3 alkali, resulting in improving mechanical properties due to small crystal size and many contact points. It was identified that a lot of calcium silicate hydates formed at surface of pulps increase bonding strength and the crack-resistance of matrix in the composites, but decrease hardness and compressive strength. The choice of amorpous silicates having better hydraulicity, low CaO/SiO2 adding each fibers bellow about 5% in the raw mixs and lower molding pressure should be needed at improve mechanical properties of composites.

폐광물을 이용한 자기 연마재 개발 (Development of the Magnetic Abrasive Using Worthless Mineral)

  • The magnetic polishing is the useful method to finish using magnetic power of magnet. This method is one of precision polishing techniques and has an aim of the clean technology using for the pure of gas and inside of the clean pipe for transportation. The magnetic abrasive polishing method is not so common for machine that it is not spreaded widely. There are rarely researcher in this field because of non-effectiveness of magnetic abrasive. Therefore, in this paper deals with development of the magnetic abrasive using worthless mineral. In this development, abrasive grain WA and GC used to resin bond fabricated low temperature. And magnetic material was fabricated from the worthless mineral which were closed into 200 mesh grit type. The XRD analysis result show that only WA and GC abrasive and worthless mineral crystal peaks detected which explains resin bond was not any more chemical reaction. From SEM analysis it is found that WA and GC abrasive and worthless mineral were strong bonding with each other by bond.

  • We have investigated the microstructures and the mechanical properties of TiA1/Cerameti1721 (Ag-Cu-Ti insert metal)/AISI4140 joints at 800$^{\circ}C$ for 60 to 300s using induction brazing method. Two continuous reaction layers of AICuTi and AICu$_2$Ti were formed at the interface between the braze and TiAl, whose thickness increased with the brazing time. The braze consisted of Ag-rich, Ti-rich, CuTi and CuTi$_2$ phases. The maximum tensile strength achieved 296MPa, which was 71% of that of TiAl base metal, for the specimen bonded at 800$^{\circ}C$. Further increase of the brazing temperature and time resulted in constant deterioration of its bonding strength due to large amount of brittle IMC.

The Effect of Kovar(Fe-29Ni-l7Co) Oxidation Atmosphere on the Kovar-to-Glass Seal

  • In order to form a uniform oxidation layer and spinel crystalline phase that has been help strong bonding in Kovar(Fe-29Ni-17Co)-to-glass sealing, the humidified nitrogen and nirtogen/hydrogen mixture was used as an oxidation atmosphere. Kovar oxidation was diffusion-controlled reaction and the activation energy was 25~32 kcal/mol at $600~900^{\circ}C.$ After oxidation at $600^{\circ}C, $ the oxidation layer was under 1 $\mu\textrm{m}$ thickness and crystalline phase was spinel which was found to be suitable for the Kovar-to-glass sealing. The Kovar-to-glass seal was carried out at $1010^{\circ}C$ and humidified nitrogen/hydrogen mixture atmosphere. Sealing properties were tested by Leak tester and SEM.

Assessment of Autoxidative Resistance for Organic Solvent by Pressure Monitoring Test

  • In the recycle process of organic solvent, the atmospheric oxygen can cause autoxidation and product peroxide. The time-saving method to evaluate the hazards has been required. In this study, oxygen pressure monitoring experiment was proposed as a new method to evaluate autoxidative resistances of solvents. Some of organic solvents were pressurized by oxygen and kept under isothermal condition. At the same time, the pressure in the vessel tracked. Iodometrical titration, thermal analysis and spectroscopic analysis were performed to measure peroxide concentration, the heat of reaction and chemical bonding change. From the results that THF has larger oxygen consumption rate than CPME, it is considered that autoxidative resistance of THF is lower than that of CPME. This method enables to obtain results in shorter time than other methods. These experimental results were consistent with the previous research with longer test durations [1-2].

  • 메탄올-물, 에탄올-물, 아세톤-물 및 아세토니트릴-물의 二成分 混合溶媒에서 鹽化페닐메탄술포닐의 加溶媒分解反應을 速度論的으로硏究하였다. 反應速度는 反陽性子溶媒에서 보다 陽性子溶媒에서 더 빨랐으며, 이온化能力에 對한 反應速度의 感度 즉 Winstein 圖示의 m와 轉移狀態의 溶媒和數는 陽性子溶媒에서 훨씬 작았다. 이것은 陽性子溶媒의 水素結合溶媒和에 依한 初期狀態의 安定化로서 생각할 수 있다. 反應은 모든 溶媒系에 있어서 轉移狀態의 結合形成이 結合破壤을 앞지르는$S_N2$ 메카니즘으로 일어난다 할 수 있다.

The Adsorption of the 3-methyl 5-pyrazolone on the Ge(100) Surface

  • The most stable adsorption structures and energies of four tautomerized forms (keto-1, enol-1, keto-2, and enol-2) of 3-methyl 5-pyrazolone (MP) adsorbed on Ge(100) surfaces have been investigated by Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculation method. Among its four tautomerized forms, we confirmed three tautomerized forms except keto-1 form show the stable adsorption structures when they adsorbed on the Ge(100)-$2{\times}1$ surface as we calculate the respective stable adsorption structures, activation barrier, transition state energy, and reaction pathways. Moreover, among three possible adsorption structures, we acquired that enol-2 form has most stable adsorption structure with O-H dissociated N-H dissociation bonding structure.

표면처리된 CFRP와 알루미늄 복합재료의 파괴인성 향상에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Fracture Toughness Improvement of Surface-treated CFRP and Aluminum Composites)

  • In this study, the effect of surface treatment of CFRP and aluminum on the fracture toughness of CFRP/aluminum composites was investigated. CFRP was surface-treated by Ar$^{+}$ ion beam under oxygen environment, and the aluminum was surface-treated by DC plasma. CFRP was adhesively bonded to aluminum using the secondary bonding procedure. Cracked lap shear specimens were used to determine fracture toughness. Three cases of cracked lap shear specimens were made depending on the surface treatment. The values of fracture toughness of three cases were compared to each other It was found that the fracture toughness of ion beam-treated CFRP/aluminum composites was almost 72 % higher than that of unrented CFRP/aluminum composites. The fracture toughness of CFRP/plasma-treated aluminum composites was 50 % higher than that of untreated CFRP/aluminum composites.s.

자기 연마재에 관한 연구 (A Study on Magnetic Abrasive)

This method is one of the precision techniques and has an aim for clean technology in the transportation of the pure gas in the clean pipes. The magnetic abrasive polishing method is not so common in the field of machine that it is not known to widely. There are rarely researcher in this field because of non-effectiveness of magnetic abrasive. Therefore, in this paper we deals with the development of the magnetic abrasive with the use of Sr-Ferrite. In this development, abrasive grain A has been made by using the resin bond fabricated at low temperature. And magnetic abrasive powder was fabricated from the Sr-Ferrite which was crushed into 200 mesh. The XRD analysis result shows that only A abrasive and Sr-Ferrite crystal peaks were detected, explaining that resin bond was not any more to contribute chemical reaction. From SEM analysis, we found that A abrasive and Sr-Ferrite were strongly bonding with each other.
