로봇 팔의 최적설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the optimal design of robot arm)

  • Determining the motion using optimal technique about traveling time and trajectory planning has been studied often in recent years, but the study of determining the optimal robot dimensions is rare, the authors attempt to find out the least driving torques and energy as the optimization of link length ratio referred to 2R SCARA and 3R robot manipulators. For the given linear path with triangular velocity profile, the inverse kinematic and dynamic problems are examined in order to lead into solution of problem, which is suggested for optimal design of link lengths. Accordingly, optimal link length ratio is obtained with respect to each case.

  • This study focus to make 8 legs robot based on Jansen's mechanism. In the process of making, we found GL(Ground length),GAC(Ground Angle Coefficient) and the height difference of tract and compare Several models with M.Sketch to find link's Length ratio Optimised simple walking and crossing of obstacles. In the process, our team Analyzed the difference ideal tract (Jansen holy number model's track) contrived by Jansen and our final model tract. As a result, we found optimal link's length ratio to over the obstacles and some features that our model differ from Jansen holy number model. It means that optimal link's length ratio depends on certain circumstances, perfect length ratio is nonexistent.

보의 진동제어를 위한 압전 액추에이터의 길이변화 효과 연구 (Effect of Piezoactuator Length Variation for Vibration Control of Beams)

  • This paper presents an approach to define an optimal piezoactuator length to actively control structural vibration. The optimal ratio of the piezoactuator length against the beam length when a pair of piezoceramic actuator and accelerometer is used to suppress unwanted vibration with direct velocity feedback(DVFB) control strategy is not clearly defined so far. It is well known that DVFB control can be very useful when a pair of sensor and actuator is collocated on structures with a high gain and excellent stability. It is considered that three different collocated Pairs of piezoelectric actuators (20, 50 and 100 mm long) and accelerometers installed on three identical clamped-clamped beams($30{\times}20{\times}1mm$). The response of each sensor-actuator pair requires strictly positive real(SPR) property to apply a high feedback gain. However the length of the piezoactuator affects the SPR property of the sensor-actuator response. Intensive simulation and experiment show the effect of the actuator length variation is strongly related with the frequency range of the SPR property. Thus an optimal length ratio was suggested to obtain relevant performance with a good stability under the DVFB strategy.

  • 돔 분리형 복합재 연소관의 접합 체결부 최적의 설계 길이를 결정하기 위해 접합부 길이변화에 따른 구조해석을 수행하였다. 이때, 접착 체결부의 길이는 50mm에서 300mm의 범위를 갖는다. 무응력상태의 초기 접합부 길이대비 응력구배가 발생하는 구간의 길이를 "응력구배 길이 비"로 정의하고 이를 목적함수로 선정하였다. 구조해석 결과 접착 체결부의 길이가 200mm 이상으로 증가할 경우 응력구배 길이 비의 증가가 서서히 나타남을 확인하였다. 이는, 접착 체결부에 적용되는 2,500psi 내압에서 구조적 안전성을 확보하는 최적화된 접착 체결부의 길이가 200mm임을 의미한다.

  • Pressure drop and heat transfer characteristics of a periodically fully developed flow in the flat channel with protrusions are investigated. The effects of shape and location of protrusion on the pressure drop and heat transfer are numerically analyzed in the present study. Taguchi method is used to optimize these parameters. It is found that the ratio of the height of protrusion to channel height shows larger influence on the pressure drop and heat transfer than the ratio of the length of protrusion to module length. As the height of protrusion increases, pressure drop and heat transfer increase, but if the height of protrusion exceeds 2/3 of the channel height, there is a substantial pressure drop. The results also show that the optimal length and height of protrusion are half of the module length and half of the channel height, respectively.

  • Back-to-Back 보강토옹벽은 좁은 구간에 양립하는 옹벽의 형식을 가지기 때문에 벽체간의 이격거리에 따라 보강재가 겹치게 되어 보강재 간의 상호작용에 의한 응력 변화와 일체화된 상태에서 전체가 거동하는 문제 등으로 설계단계에서 신중한 접근이 필요하나 현재 국내에 정형화된 설계기준이나 지침이 전무한 상태이다. 본 연구는 이러한 Back-to-Back 보강토옹벽에 대해 옹벽폭 대 높이비(옹벽폭비, Wb/H)에 따른 최적 보강길이비에 대해 고찰하였다. 옹벽폭비는 FHWA 설계기준의 Case II에 해당하는 1.1H, 1.4H, 1.7H, 2.0H, 높이는 일반적으로 가장 많이 적용되고 있는 3.0m, 5.0m, 7.0m, 10.0m를 대상으로 하였으며, 각 조건에서 수치해석을 통해 FHWA 설계기준의 적정성과 옹벽의 높이 및 옹벽폭비에 따른 최적 보강길이비를 제안하였다.

Optimal damping ratio of TLCDs

  • The study of the optimal damping ratio of a tuned liquid-column damper (or TLCD) attached to a single-degree-of-freedom system is presented. The tuned liquid-column damper is composed of two vertical columns connected by a horizontal section in the bottom and partially filled with water. The ratio of the length of the horizontal section to the effective wetted length of a TLCD considered as another important parameter is also presented for investigation. A simple pendulum-like model test is conducted to simulate a long-period motion in order to prove the effectiveness of TLCD for vibrational control. Comparisons of the experimental and analytic results of the TLCD, TLD (tuned-liquid damper), and TMD (tuned-mass damper) are included for discussion.

  • Music summarization refers to a technique which automatically extracts the most important and representative segments in music content. In this paper, we propose and evaluate a technique which provides the repeated part in music content as music summary. For extracting a repeated segment in music content, the proposed algorithm uses the weighted sum of similarity measures based on multi-level vector quantization for fixed-length summary or optimal-length summary. For similarity measures, count-based similarity measure and distance-based similarity measure are proposed. The number of the same codeword and the Mahalanobis distance of features which have same codeword at the same position in segments are used for count-based and distance-based similarity measure, respectively. Fixed-length music summary is evaluated by measuring the overlapping ratio between hand-made repeated parts and automatically generated ones. Optimal-length music summary is evaluated by calculating how much automatically generated music summary includes repeated parts of the music content. From experiments we observed that optimal-length summary could capture the repeated parts in music content more effectively in terms of summary length than fixed-length summary.

  • This paper deals with finding the optimal ratio of height and length of Single-Sided Linear Induction Motors (SLIM) using Finite Element Method (FEM) for magnetic field analysis coupled with optimal design methodology. For effective analysis, FEM is conducted in time harmonic field which provides steady state performance with the fundamental components of voltage and current. The ratio of height to length providing the required output power is obtained by Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and optimal values are presented by the variation in output power. When output power is small, the ratio is high and as the power increases, the ratio shows a converged value. Considering the general application of linear motors, using a small ratio can be limiting, however, the shape ratio for maximum thrust can be identified.
