  • BMB-CF has been constituted of purified fractions of Scutellaria baicalensis, which has medicinal effect such as anti-microbial. anti-inflammation. fever remedy. anti-oxidation. and anti-aging effect etc.. It has been used in traditional medicine formula from long time ago in the east Asia. It is constituted of the active flavone ingredients such as baicalin. baicalein. DTF(Di-methyl Tetra -hydroxy Flavone), wogonin. wogonoside. $\beta$- Sitosterol. etc.. General purified fractions of Scutellaria baicalensis has the high portion of the baicalin which has the problem of narrow antimicrobial spectrum and compatibility against cosmetic formula. Now. we has been develop the new purificaton process of Scutellaria baicalensis that has the high rate of DTF content, which is improved in antimicrobial activity and cosmetics compatibility. So. we have assure that it is the potent preservative against various cosmetic formula.

  • Concurrent construction (or overlapping) is an alternative project delivery process to reduce time-tomarket such that the owner can get higher profits; the increased profits due to shortened project duration would exceed the loss of profits from the increased cost, if any. For more effective concurrent construction, a new conceptual framework for concurrent construction planning is suggested. With multiple work methods available in each activity, the performance of overlapping between two activities in terms of cost is affected by the compatibility between work methods selected and the benefit to the project owner is determined by internal rate of return (RoR). The impact of the compatibility between work methods and the conceptual framework are explained by a hypothetical case study.

  • In this study, high-penetration asphalt with low greenhouse gas emissions was used in the asphalt mixing process to reduce the carbon emissions during the reaction due to its capacity to be produced even at low temperatures. In effect, cationic, anionic, and non-ionic dispersants were added and mixed in different feeding ratios, seeking an effective dispersion of the modifiers (SIS, PS, TPEE, and SEBS) into the high-penetration asphalt matrix and forming an asphalt binder with a melting point of 120 ℃. The compatibility of the modifiers and the high-penetration asphalt was examined using SEM and DSC techniques, and the role of NDP-1 as a dispersant was carefully investigated with respect to dissolution time. The analyses showed that: (1) the dispersibility of the asphalt binder is good when the non-ionic dispersant is used; (2) as the concentration of the non-ionic dispersant increases, the dissolution time decreases and the domain size contracts; (3) the ND70-PS has the shortest dissolution time, the lowest agglomeration rate, and a single Tg value.

  • The next generation mobile communication systems require error correcting schemes that can be adaptable to various code rates and lengths with negligible performance degradation. Serial concatenated convolutional codes can be a good candidate satisfying these requirements. In this paper, we propose new rate-compatible punctured serial concatenated convolutional code (RCPSCCC) which performs better than the RCPSCCC proposed by Chandran and Valenti in the sense of the rate compatibility. These codes are evaluated and analyzed by using computer simulation and SNR evolution technique. As their application, Type-II hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) schemes using both RCPSCCCs are constructed and new RCPSCCC is shown to have better throughput.

  • In this paper, we propose two rate control algorithms for multi-view extension of HEVC with two rate control algorithms adopted in HEVC and analyze the multi-view rate control performance. The proposed multi-view rate controls are designed on HEVC-based multi-view video coding (MV-HEVC) platform with consideration of high-level syntax, inter-view prediction, etc. not only for the base view but also for the extended views using the rate control algorithms based on URQ (Unified Rate-Quantization) and R-lambda model adopted in HEVC. The proposed multi-view rate controls also contain view-wise target bit allocation for providing the compatibility to the base view. By allocating the target bitrates for each view, the proposed multi-view rate control based on URQ model achieved about 1.83% of average bitrate accuracy and 1.73dB of average PSNR degradation. In addition, about 2.97% of average bitrate accuracy and 0.31dB of average PSNR degradation are achieved with the proposed multi-view rate control based on R-lambda model.

  • OSS(Open source software) pursues the freedom to have access to open source and offers several advantages, over the proprietary software, to enterprises. Based upon Rogers(1995)' innovation-diffusion process, we assume that attributes of innovations includes five characteristics of innovations: relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability, and that firms' perceptions of these characteristics predict the rate of adoption of OSS. To test this hypothesis, we presents a survey result from 201 companies and institutions concerning the use of OSS. Statistical analysis shows that adoption is highly correlated with each of those characteristics of innovations, but the regression analysis indicates that only compatibility and observability have effects on the adoption of OSS. This implies that intrinsic value of OSS is important, but unless the appropriate service package for improving IT environment is provided, it is not easy to change the perspective of corporate customers more favorable toward OSS use. As a conclusion, the academic and practical implications are also discussed.

  • The purpose of this paper is to pursue a general method to determine both the flow stress of a material and the friction factor by ring compression test. The materials are assumed to obey the expanded n-power hardening rule including the strain-rate effect. Ring compression is simulated by the rigid-plastic finite element method to obtain the database used in determining the flow stress and friction factor. The Simulation is conducted for various strain hardening exponent, strain-rate sensitivity, friction factor, and compressing speed, as variables. It is assumed that the friction factor is constant during the compression process. To evaluate the compatibility of the database, experiments are carried out at room and evaluated temperature using specimens of aluminum 6061-T6 under dry and grease lubrication condition. It is shown that the proposed test method is useful and easy to use in determining the flow stress and the friction factor.

  • This paper presents the plastic inhomogeneous deformation behavior of bimetal composite rods during the axisymmetric and steady-state extrusion process through a conical die. The rigid-plastic FE model considering frictional contact problem was used to analyze the co-extrusion process with material combinations of Cu/Al. Different cases of initial geometry shape for composite material were simulated under different conditions of co-extrusion process, which includes the interference and frictional conditions. From the simulation results, the sleeve cladding rate at the core/sleeve interface was recorded as a distribution of diameter ratio and interference conditions, which will be useful for the investigations of the bonding process during co-extrusion process. In addition, the results of the co-extrusion, connected with the results of the variations of diameter rate and average contact pressure, demonstrate a good agreement and present the possibility of describing the parameters of the plastic zones in non-uniform deformation of these type of composite materials.

  • Recently there has been interested in the use of natural dyes in textile applications. Generally natural dyes can exhibit better biodegradability and have a higher compatibility with the environment. In this study, cotton, wool and silk fabrics were dyed with alkali extract of Arecae semen using various mordants, and their dyeabilities were discussed. Additionally the fastness to washing, perspiration, light, rubbing, and drycleaning and UV-B protection rate were also investigated. Cotton, silk and wool fabrics dyed with alkali extract of Arecae semen were colored in reddish yellow tint. The optimum dyeing condition of the colorants extracted from the Alecae semen was three repeated dyeing at $95^{\circ}C$ for 1.5 hrs. The dyed fabrics by using mordanting methods improved the fastness to washing, perspiration and drycleaning, but the fastness to light and rubbing were not increased. The UV-B protection rate of the wool fabrics were increased by dyeing with extract of Arecae semen.

  • Historically, LCD monitors have not been able to be used for frame-sequential stereoscopic 3D visualisation due to their slow pixel response rate. With LCD pixel response rates now in the single-digit millisecond range it is natural to ask whether it is now possible to achieve frame-sequential stereoscopic 3D viewing on LCDs.
