陰 Ion 交換樹脂에 依한 稀土類元素의 溶離行動에 關한 硏究 (The Elution Behavior of Rare Earth Elements in Diethylene Triamine N,N,N',N',N)

  • DTPA 용리액의 pH와 농도를 변화시키면서 음이온 교환수지관을 이용해서 희토류 원소들을 분리하는 연구를 하였다. 희토류 원소들의 가장 좋은 분리조건은 0.025M DTPA, pH 8.35이 있었으며 희토류 원소들의 용리순서는 Sm을 제외하고 희토류 원소들의 원자번호 순서와 일치하였다. 0.025M DTPA, pH 8.35에서 분리한 인접 희토류 원소들의 분리값은 3.03~1.25이었으며 그중 Ce/Pr이 3.03으로 최대값을,Eu/Gd은 최소값을 각각 갖는다. 0.025M DTPA 희토류 원소들을 용리하였을 때, pH 8.0~8.6의 넓은 범위에서 비교적 좋은 분리현상을 보였다.

  • In this study, we investigated the electromagnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite doped with rare earth oxide (Dy$_2$O$_3$, Er$_2$O$_3$). The main composition is 52mo1% $\alpha$-Fe$_2$O$_3$, 25mo1% Mn$_3$O$_4$23mo1% ZnO and doped with them(0.05wt%~0.25wt%, step:0.05wt%). An experimental process has advanced by conventional ferrimagnetism manufacturing that was prepared by standard ceramic techniques. The XRD pattern of all doped sample were observed spinel and secondary phase. The density of sample were measured nearly constant value. As increased the additive, resistivity, initial permeability and real component of the series complex permeability increased with setting limits each other. In case of Mn-Zn ferrite excess doped with them, resistivity, initial permeability and real component of the series complex permeability decreased and magnetic loss increased in proportion to increasing the additive.

A Case of Heel Reconstruction with a Reverse Sural Artery Flap in a Hemophilia B Patient

  • Hemophilia B is a rare blood coagulation disorder. Complications such as bleeding and hematoma can cause necrosis of flaps, wound disruption, and the disturbance of wound healing. In particular, guidelines for flap operations in hemophilia B patients have still not been defined, and case reports are rare. We reconstructed the heel of a 41-year-old male hemophilia B patient using a reverse sural artery flap operation. The patient presented with mild hemophilia, having 27% of the normal value of coagulation factor IX. Coagulation and the changing value of the coagulation factor were regularly measured, and 70% of the normal value of coagulation factor IX was maintained through the injection of recombinant coagulation factors and antihemorrhagics. Hematoma developed twice (postoperative day [POD] 5 and POD 7) and in each case the hematoma was removed. Injections of recombinant coagulation factors and antihemorrhagics were continuously administered until postoperative week 2. When the coagulation factors were within normal ranges. In this article, a hemophilia B patient underwent reverse sural artery flap surgery and the healing progress was analyzed. We conclude that higher than baseline levels of coagulation factors are needed for successful healing in reverse sural artery flap surgery.

Physical Origin of the Planar Alignment of Satellite Galaxies

  • The Milky Way (MW) and other systems including M31 and Cen A have flattened structures of their satellites (Disk of Satellites, DoS). Such structures are rare in simulations under the ΛCDM paradigm. DoS is known to depend mainly on 1) the alignment of satellite orbits and 2) the degree of central concentration of satellites. In this work, we examine quantitatively how these two parameters affect the flatness of a system. We find that the MW-like DoS is rare in IllustrisTNG100 simulation because its two parameters are out of the 1-s range and furthermore the MW has a structure more flattened than the other systems having similar parameters. Besides, we propose a new criterion for the MW-like systems superseding the conventional ones such as major-minor axis ratio of the MW's DoS with a value of 0.183. Each satellite system has a specific orbital combination and thus has a particular distribution of its parameters (and thus flatness). The median of the distribution is set as the representative value of each system. And the representative value of the MW can be used as a new criterion for classifying the MW-like DoS. We reconstruct the orbital combination of the observed MW satellites using GAIA DR2 data and find the systems in the simulation that have representative values similar to the new criterion from the reconstructed MW system. This allows us a new interpretation on the rarity of MW-like DoS in cosmological simulations.

The effect of lanthanum on the solidification curve and microstructure of Al-Mg alloy during eutectic solidification

  • The influence of rare earth lanthanum (La) on solidification cooling range, microstructure of aluminum-magnesium (Al-Mg) alloy and mechanical properties were investigated. Five kinds of Al-Mg alloys with rare earth content of La (i.e., 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 wt.%) were prepared. Samples were either slowly cooled in furnace or water cooled. Results indicate that the addition of the rare earth (RE) La can significantly influence the solidification range, the resultant microstructure, and tensile strength. RE La can extend the alloy solidification range, increase the solidification time, and also greatly improve the flow performance. The addition of La takes a metamorphism effect on Al-Mg alloy, resulting in that the finer the grain is obtained, the rounder the morphology becomes. RE La can significantly increase the mechanical properties for its metamorphism and reinforcement. When the La content is about 1.5 wt.%, the tensile strength of Al-Mg alloy reaches its maximum value of 314 MPa.

  • Extreme value theory has been used widely in many areas of science and engineering to deal with the assessment of extreme events which are rare but have catastrophic consequences. The potential of extreme value theory has only been recognized recently in finance area. In this paper, we provide an overview of extreme value theory for estimating and assessing value at risk and expected shortfall which are the methods for modelling and measuring the extreme financial risks. We illustrate that the approach based on extreme value theory is very useful for estimating tail related risk measures through backtesting of an empirical data.

국내 석탄화력발전소 석탄회 중 희유금속 가치 평가 (Evaluation of Some Rare Metals and Rare Earth Metals Contained in Coal Ash of Coal-fired Power Plants in Korea)

  • 국내 석탄화력발전소 11곳의 석탄회(비산재, 바닥재 및 매립회) 및 매립장 상등수를 채취하여 희유금속의 함량분포를 살펴보았다. 주요 전략광물인 이트륨(Yttrium) 및 네오디뮴(Neodymium)의 경우 약 23 ~ 75 mg/kg 범위로 나타났으며 별도의 회수기술 개발에 대한 가치가 충분한 것으로 판단되었다. 연간 발생하는 비산재 및 바닥재와 더불어 매립회의 양을 감안하면 국내 석탄화력발전소가 보유하고 있는 희유금속은 약 1.67조 원의 가치가 있는 것으로 조사되어 도시광산으로서 충분한 경제적 가치가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

자연자원의 보전가치 추정 - 가상가치법을 이용하여 천안.아산의 광덕산에 대한 분석 - (An Estimation of Preservation Value of Kwangduksan using the CVM)

  • There is a controversy on developing or preserving Kwangduksan(Mt.) located in Cheonan and Asan. Kwangduksan has a grand scenery, many of cultural properties, and rare animals and plants like fireflies. So the citizens of Cheonan and Asan have recognized its cultural and ecological value as yet. In this study, an economic basis for preserving it was presented to prevent developing thoughtless for the environment. Preservation value of it was estimated about 44 billions by CVM. This result shows the environmental value of Kwangduksan is very great. If people feel importance of environmental resources more and more, this value of Kwangduksan will be greater and greater.

20-30대 여성 소비자들의 소비가치 유형에 따른 해외 패션명품 브랜드 가방 구매행동 (Purchase Behaviors on Imported Fashion Luxury Brand's Bag according to the Types of Consumption Values of Female Consumers in 20's and 30's)

  • The purpose of this study was to classify the consumption values of 20's and 30's female consumers, identify the differences among the consumption value groups, and analyze purchase behaviors of imported fashion luxury brands according to the consumption value types. The subjects were 518 women who purchased luxury bags. The results of the study were as follows. First, as a result of cluster analysis to classify the consumption values of 20's and 30's female consumers, 4 groups were identified as "rare and emotional pursuit group", "functional pursuit group", "fashion pursuit group", and "social and conspicuous pursuit group". Second, 4 groups showed different luxury bag purchase behaviors, such as purchase motivation, purchase selection criteria, information source, purchase frequency, purchase cost of one time, purchase cost of year, the number of possession, purchase place, and store selection criteria. Third, rare and emotional pursuit group ranked the first in terms of product, price, and store satisfaction. Therefore, consumption values were identified as the important factor suggesting purchase behaviors of female consumers in 20's and 30's.
