This paper is the on-site case study of the shaping of townscape of port towns in Korea. Inchon has been experienced the rapid urbanization after the opening of a port. Inchon is selected because of the relatively rapid process, the apparent event and influence, and the enough referneces of data about the landscape formation and transformation. As the value of historical landscape, it is very significant to study Inchon and the causes of change in townscape depend on the external element-the opening of a port, Japan colonial policy, economic progress, nationwide development. The main purpose of this study is scrutinized the process, the cause and effect, and the contents and the form of shaping of townscape. The result of the interpretation of landscape is never perfect but only a starting point. Finally this study will be applied to the pragmatic task as a basic tool which construct the desirable image of the city.

Photosynthetic dinoflagellates contain a water-soluble, light-harvesting antenna called the peridinin-chlorophyll-protein (PCP) complex, which has an apoprotein with no sequence similarity to other known proteins. There are two forms of PCP apoproteins; the 15-kDa short form and the 32- to 35­kDa long form. The present study describes the PCP protein and its cDNA from Alexandrium tamarense. A cDNA library was constructed from mRNA isolated from A. tamarense. The complete PCP cDNA was generated by reverse-transcription coupled to polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), together with rapid-amplification of cDNA ends (RACE). The A. tamarense PCP cDNA encoded a 55-amino acid signal peptide and a 313-amino acid mature protein with a calculated mass of 32 kDa, which corresponded to that of the long form of PCP. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that the sequence of A. tamarense PCP did not cluster with the short-form PCPs, to which it was only about $55\%$ identical, but which were $79-83\%$ identical to other long-form PCPs. The deduced amino acid sequence of A. tamarense PCP contains an internal duplication, which suggests the possibility that long-form PCPs arose by gene duplication or by the fusion of genes encoding the short form. The abundance of PCP mRNA changed substantially in response to different light conditions, indicating the possible existence of a photo-acclimation response in A. tamarense.

In this paper, XML form generator is designed and implemented on the basis of e-business's DTD (Document Type Definition) document. Rapid evolving for internet services and information infrastructure give many impacts on the e-business, it need to make a new kinds of web-based or electronic-based document formats for e-business transaction trading. In current situations, there are many kinds of document formats on conventional business documents for each companies. And, it has many problems on the aspects of the document reusability and cost to support interoperability between documents for the trading partners. To solve this interoperability of documents, the constructed XML form generator is changing XML form document into HTML (HyperText Markup Language) based web document by XSLT. And it also generates XML business message validating for e-Business DTD by user Inputs.

Technologies for rapid concrete curing using elevated temperature are important for saving cost and time when constricting concrete structures. Recently, a microwave heating form was developed. In this study the early strength of concrete cured by the developed form was experimentally investigated. Large scale mock up tests were conducted six times, and the results were analyzed based on the maturity theory. Logarithmic correlation curves were generated based on the measured strength and estimated maturity. It was confirmed that the strength development of the concrete cured by microwave heating form can be estimated by the equivalent age theory usually applied to steam-curing technology. By using the microwave heating form, one day at most is enough to get the required strength for the safe removal of forms, even in cold weather.

In the approaching 21th century, the outstanding development in international sports has established arbitration as the preferred form of dispute resolution. Because the form of sports dispute becomes more complicated and varied with the quantitative increase of them, the reasonable and rapid settlement of them must be the important problem. The Alternative Dispute Resolution(ADR) as the settlement of sports dispute is regarded as the one of effective dispute resolution method and merits notice. The Korean Sports Arbitration Committee has been established for dispute resolution between athletes and the clubs or alike. Now, We must review and complements the rules of the Korean Sports Arbitration Committee in order to be a representative system of domestic sports dispute arbitration that settle the sports dispute practically and efficiently.

This paper presents a derivation of the optimum convergence constant to yield the most rapid convergence under a desired mean-square error (MSE) for echo canceller using the LMS algorithm. For white input data, the optimum convergence constant is a simple closed-form function of the number of filter taps, the input signal variance, the initial MSE, and the desired MSE. This characteristic makes it easily designed in many practical applications. Computer simulations are also employed to show the correctness and effectiveness of the derived results.

Recently there is growing concern regarding the service industry in Korea, especially the food service industry. The form of food service industry has become larger and speciallized by means of either implementing marketing programme in individual companies or the entrepreneurs' possesstion of chain stores. As the food service industry has extended throughout the whole of Korea, It has contributed enormously to the regional economy. These phenomena is based on the following facts; the increase in income level, the fast economy growth and change, rapid reform of social structure, and the change in status of the labor population. To meet these changes and reforms the food service industry in Korea has to form a new ideology that takes into account the interaction with globalization, the phenomena of instant-food consumption habit, a general increase in the those who eat-out, the two faces of luxury, and the blending of domestic extravagance and practicality, especially the influence of imported brands on advance technology and system utility on the economic section and style as a whole.

Efficient development of method on a performance evaluation for machine tools has been regarded as the most important work for accuracy and quality enhancement to every user and manufacturer. A evaluation method of accuracy for machine tools has been studied recently according to the rapid increase of interest in precision machine tools. To this point of view, the circular interpolation test of machine tools is recognized as the most useful method to distinguish a dynamic accuracy of NC machine tools by ISO and ANSI/ASME, etc. In this paper, we have studied and developed the form measurement system with grid encoder to analyse the final accuracy of NC machine tools. we have analyzed the servo system error and geometric error of NC machine tools through measuring a dynamic error signal by this system. and then we verified the experimental result and enhanced the reliability by means of comparing the characteristics of the developed system with the kinematic ball-bar system.

Rapid Prototyping(RP) has been widely applied in designing and developing process of new products. RP can reduce the lead time and expense required to bring a new product form initial concept to production. Among several RP process can dramatically reduce the total build time and be applied for fabrication of large-sized and free form object because it uses in LOM the paper thickness is 0.05∼0.38mm as deposition feature segment. In this study, mechanical properties of pattern with LOM system is studied for optimal design of sand mold casting. The main result is that tensile, compressive strength and pattern size are significantly affected by temperature of hot roll.

Since its foundation of Won-Buddhism in 1916 there established around 500 Temple-Halls in both domestic and overseas areas, and it is a native religion that currently on its development of edification activities. As for Won-Buddhism which being under rapid development likely as such going, together with its expansion of the religious influence, there required more broader spaced grand sanctum at where the large-scaled religious events are able to perform. According to this, Balcony-styled plane form is on increasing trend from the internal plane form of Won Buddhism Sanctum. On such viewpoint, this study hereby intends to grasp the character of room acoustics through on-the-spot survey about the objects of 3 Won Buddhism Sanctums which equipped with mutually different characters of the balconies already built, and willing to furnish the fundamental material which enables to improve acoustic capability when design Won Buddhism Sanctum equipped with balcony in the future.
