고속철도차량 현가계요소 변위특성 연구 (A Study on the displacement characteristics of suspension elements for KTX)

  • The opening of high speed railway upgraded our land transportation speed limit, causing lots of changes including living and culture and also paving the way for stepping up the railway technology. However, it is also true that we had a limit to adopt the existing railway system structured for 150km/h to the new structure requiring a higher speed of approximate 300km/h due to technological, based on the time and experience. More importantly, heading toward a step of operating such a high speed railway system, it has been practically and quickly proposed that the railway needs high speed railway engineering, maintenance technology of parts of the vehicles to have a stable maintenance foundation and localization of major parts. Therefore, this study was intended to research the actual displacement characteristics in runningg on an actual track for the purpose of developing the protective and maintenance technology of springs and dampers, which are core parts among suspension elements of a high speed railway vehicle. For this, it was researched the actual vehicle test and its interpretation centered on primary spring, which is used for the suspension system of a bogie, body-body dampers and body-bogie yaw damper. Also, to analyze the displacement characteristics of suspension system in the actual conditions of high speed railway vehicles, a vehicle‘s dynamic characteristics was analyzed and interpreted. At the same time, a tester for measuring the actual displacement of such suspension elements was designed and attached to actual vehicles, to measure the displacements that occur in running it on the Seoul-Busan line, one of major lines serviced by KTX. The displacement data gained from the test with actual vehicles was analyzed for its displacement distribution depending on the service sections and frequency, with which the valuable data necessary for any potential breakdown or maintenance in the future could be obtained.

철도교통용 고속 트랜스폰더시스템 실차 시험 (Field Test of High-Speed Transponder System for Rail Transport)

  • In order to detect the exact position of high-speed train, it is necessary to obtain location information from the transponder tag installed along the track. When the transponder tag receives the energizing signal from the train, it sends a telegram to the reader, which includes location information. In high-speed railway environment, this telegram can be corrupted by electromagnetic interference caused by onboard electric train power equipments or wayside devices. In order to assess the performance of transponder system under this harsh environment, we carried out field test using HEMU-430X. Field test results are briefly introduced and discussed for the evaluation of the transponder system under development.

  • The demand prediction becomes an essential mean to utilize efficiently finite traffic facilities and to provide the optimized schedules for transportation system. The demand prediction is one of the critical complex management schemes for distibuting resources of transportation service by means of computer system. The construction of a prediction model is based on data granulization, followed by processing the raw input data and evaluating the predicted output values. A large number of economic-social parameters are also to be implemented in conventional prediction models which are only based on a sequence of past data. The proposed prediction models are classified by static and dynamic characteristics and its performances are evaluated utilizing computer simulation.

  • According to Railway Safety Act, Korea Transportation Safety Authority (KOTSA) has been entrusted with 'Integrated Railroad Safety Audit (IRSA) and has implemented the safety audit to the railroad operation agencies such as Korea Railroad (KORAIL) and the railroad facility management organization such as the Korea Rail Network Authority (KR Network). The target of IRSA is to establish the effective rail safety management system and to raise the safety level of the railroad operation and facility agencies by checking synthetically their performance of safety duties with sincerity according to the Railway Safety Act. Even though newly introduced IRSA is conducted smoothly, it is necessary to study the methodology and criteria of the state's safety audit system. The purpose of this paper is to improve the efficiency of IRSA by the comparative research between IRSA and other similar safety audit system and to establish the consecutive improvement concept of IRSA. Second purpose is to confirm the effectiveness of IRSA by the analysis of the relationship between audit results and the safety level of the rail operation agencies.

  • 본 논문에서는 기차의 운행 중 철도에서의 여러 위험 요소를 관리하기 전, 이를 테스트 하기 위해 기차 모형의 특정 부위나 철도 혹은 주변 요소에 아두이노 센서를 부착하여 감지된 값을 제공하고, 수집한 스트림 데이터를 브라우저 화면에 실시간으로 출력하여 모니터링하는 웹 애플리케이션을 설계하고 구현한다. 이를 통해 사용자는 웹을 이용하여 손쉽고 간편하게 철도에서의 상황 정보가 변화하는 것을 파악할 수 있고, 문제 발생 시 데이터를 분석하여 어떤 문제가 있는지 알 수 있다. 이를 이용하여 여러 애플리케이션과 연동해서 사용자에게 편의성과 편리성을 제공한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 열차의 운행으로 인한 철도 주변 주거지역에서 다양한 유형의 위험요소를 파악하고 분석하기 위한 시스템 운영방안을 제안한다. 위험 요소를 파악하고, 특정 위치의 필요한 센서를 부착하여 데이터를 수집 및 처리하고 패턴을 분석하여 사용자에게 필요한 정보를 제공함으로써, 철도 주변 주거지역에 어떠한 피해가 있는지 알 수 있고, 그에 적합한 적용방안을 마련하고, 시스템 제어를 위한 애플리케이션과 연동하여 사용자에게 더 나은 편의성을 제공할 수 있다.

A Computer Simulator to Assess the Operational Scenarios for the Personal Rapid Transit Systems

  • The personal rapid transit (PRT) system is a small scale transportation system that employs a novel concept to solve the traffic congestion problem in the city area. The PRT system is a driverless on-demand system that a passenger calls a vehicle rather than waits for the vehicle. Therefore, one of the most important issues in the PRT system is how to control the vehicle with the satisfaction of the basic concept of the PRT system. In this paper a computer simulator is introduced to evaluate the vehicle. operational control algorithm of the PRT system. The. computer simulator has the commercial embedded processor boards that operate in the real time operating system and pre-designed vehicle control algorithm is coded into the processor boards. The experimental results present the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation apparatus.

  • The interests of the government and civil business owner against the Light rail transit are increasing, it may be caused by the enterprise conception which does not consider a city circumstance that the construction plan is insensitively performed. This article present the forecast method of minimum transportation demand which secures a profitability. If It is in advance investigated the number of passenger using the existing traffic system of the area, it will be possible that the LRT project is planned on a realistic basis.

광역철도 노선의 급행화 가능성에 대한 기술적 검토 (Technical Study on Possibility of an Express Service Wide Area Railway)

  • 기존 수도권 광역철도는 운행시간이 많이 걸리는 완행 위주의 운행을 하기 때문에 통행시간 측면에서 타 교통수단과의 경쟁력이 저하되고 있는 실정이고, 도로교통을 철도로 유인하는데 한계가 있기 때문에 급행열차 운행을 확대 운영해야 한다는 사회적 요구가 지속되고 있다. 특히 수도권 북부와 수도권 남서부 방면은 대도시 생활권 확대로 광역교통수요 증대에 따른 교통 혼잡 가중 및 통행시간 증가 등 사회적 비용이 과다 발생되고 있어 서울도심을 연결하는 급행 기능의 대중교통망체계가 필요하다. 국내에서 가장 효율적으로 급행화를 운행하는 노선은 서울지하철 9호선이며, 김포공항에서 고속터미널까지 27분 소요됨으로써 완행 44분 대비 약 40% 시간 단축 효과가 있고 혼잡도가 최대 240%에 달할 만큼 이용객의 선호도가 상당히 높다. 본 연구의 기술적 결과들은 광역철도의 급행화 방안의 수행을 위해 기여할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

  • This paper inspected about the application of transportation and the character of GPS&Galileo using the basis of GNSS. In the paper, searched the present condition of study which applied foreign GNSS in the railway and drew the applicable field which is corresponded with the railway environment. It also described about the embodiment and prospection of system and presented the direction of study on the basis of it.
