역세권 제2종 일반주거지역 상업화 확산과 특성 분석 (A Study on the Commercialization Characteristics of 2nd Class Residential District in Inner-city Railway Station Area)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the commercialization characteristics of 2nd class residential district in innercity railway station area as basic research to protect urban residential area against the pressure of commercialization. Through the research that are based on literature, field survey and urban planning map, it analysed the commercialization characteristic of selected three sites under similar urban condition; to be a nearby subway station and to be a famous commercial street in site, etc. The consequences of this study are summarized as follows; First it finds the commercialized lots in all blocks that adjoin blocks of upper class zoning. Second it is in inverse proportion between the commercialization of lots and the distance from subway station to residential block. Third, the corner lot of a block and the access road directly connected collector road are very important factors to spread commercialization to residential area. Finally, it finds the difference of the commercialization degree of 2nd class residential zone according to arrange main commercial street and the 2nd class residential block; vertical arrangement and horizontal arrangement.

  • Traffic control is the center of the railway traffic control system. The main objective of railway traffic control system is to minimize delays, providing the customers with on-time train operating service according to the given train schedule. Particularly, within the station control area, the departure & arrival of train. the decision on the train priority and the shunting of train are decided by the authority of the local traffic controller. Therefore, it is necessary to have a lot of information and communications between each departments. And for such decision making of the local traffic controller, not only the communication between each stations are needed, but also the communication between other stations are needed too. In this paper, we have analyzed the main work of the local traffic controller in large scale stations and have designed the station traffic control system needed to be built within the station considering the local traffic. And we have proposed not only the communication with other system within station, but also the communication methods for communications with the neighboring stations.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 내진규준이 적용되기 이전에 건설된 역사건물의 내진성능 평가 및 내진보강이다. 이를 위하여 2층 RC 역사건물의 내진성능이 평가되었다. 동적해석에 의한 층간변위비 및 층전단력 평가결과, 층전단력이 설계기준의 밑면전단력을 초과하는 것으로 평가되어 적절한 내진보강이 필요한 것으로 평가되었다. 내진성능 향상을 위하여 총 4개의 강재댐퍼가 사용되었다. 해석 변수는 강재댐퍼 형상 및 설치 방법이다. 동적해석결과 역 K가새로 설치되는 슬릿댐퍼가 다른 댐퍼 형상 및 설치 방법보다 우수한 내진성능을 가진 것으로 평가되었다.

철도시설과 연계한 이리 도시구조와 도시경관의 근대성 해석 (A Study on the Interpretation of Modern Urban Structure and Urban Landscape of Iri(Iksan) in Connection with Railway)

  • Modern railway construction by Japanese had a great influence on the urbanization, transformation of urban structure and landscape during the Japanese imperialism and compressive increasing period in Iri(Iksan). This paper aims to find out the effect of railway on the modern urban structure and urban landscape in Iri(Iksan). Railways in Iri, Honam railway, Kunsan railway, Jeonla railway have been constructed progressively during 1911 and 1915 with Iri and old Iri(east-Iri) station. From the analysis of land registration maps and street plans, old photographies and historical records, some significant features underling railway construction can be followed in view of modern urbanization process in Iri. Firstly railways cut off the possibility of developing urban structure based on traditional spatial structure of Iksan. Secondly railways made dual spatial structure in Iri. Japanese and Korean life zone were divided into separate district around urbanization area and market place. Thirdly traditional space cognition system based on four cardinal directions were changed to front and rear space of railway station. Fourthly railways and stations caused neo-baroque spatial order and imperialistic urban landscape of Iri with axis, vista and gridiron plan. Fifthly break points and fringe belts garbling modern urbanization process are created. Sixthly modern cultural and consumptive urban spaces were taken their seats in relation with daily urban life.

20세기 초 철도부설에 따른 우리나라 도시 구조의 변화에 관한 연구 (Influence of Railway on Korean City Structure in the Early $20^{th}$ Century)

  • The objective of this study is to describe the influence of railway and railway station on the change of city structure in Korea in the early 20th century. In the 1900s, railway was constructed in Japanese concessions and in new pore cities such as Incheon, Busan, and Wonsan. In the 1920s, railroad construction became related with the cities, which could produce the corps. In the 1930s, railroad also became related to the colonial industrial cities. Traditional city structure was then completely changed because new city structure was focused on not Seoul but Japan or harbors towards Japan. So Korean cities, which were netted by railway, had become the subsystem of Japan in the early 20th century. Korean cities have developed on the basis of this system until 1945. For example, the twelve main cities were chosen through the relationship with Japanese life, and the provincial office governments moved near railroad stations. However nowadays, these cities have possibilities of being international cities, such as Incheon and Busan, because of the extroversion of these cities.

  • 장소 마케팅이란 특정 장소를 하나의 상품으로 인식하도록 기업과 주민, 관광객이 선호하는 이미지와 제도, 시설 등을 통해 장소의 상품가치를 제고하는 것이다. 이러한 개념을 철도에 적용하여 새로운 지역발전의 전략을 모색할 수 있다. 폐지선과 영업 정지 역을 활용하여 새로운 지역 개발의 기회로 삼는 사례들이 이러한 맥락이다. 나아가 관광, 여가 문화, 지역축제를 철도와 연계할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해서는 지방자치단체와의 협력이 필요하다.

  • During the last several years, the high speed railway system has been constructed and it is scheduled to open sometime in 2004. To fulfil its duties, it is essential to view intermodalism in the context of broader technological developments in easy access to high speed railway station. And also, to understand the economic importance of intermodal transportation, continual research is needed on the costs and distributional effects of alternative intermodal mechanisms for public works, including direct service to local station or easy transfer to other mass transportation modes. In this paper, necessary courses for local governments involvement are taken, and additional resources must be found that will benefit the entire railway system.

  • Anemometers to examine the characteristics of the natural wind in the vicinity of the railway track has been installed in two spots, one at the Cheon-Asan station of the Seoul-Busan high-speed line, and the other at the Daechon station of the Changhang conventional railway line in 2006 to examine the characteristics of the natural wind around the railway track to estimate the actual wind speed acting on the train and to develop the wind gust model consisting with the Korean climate condition. The measured data shows that the instant wind velocity frequently exceeds the velocity of train speed restriction, 20m/s, and the actual wind velocities measured in the vicinity of the track are larger than the that measured by the Korean Meteorological Administration(KMA) because the anemometers are installed on the highly-elevated bridges.

  • Nowadays, the bus system of a metropolitan area is improving very fast. According to the bus, commuter railways increase their competitive power. For this, trains get the mobility increasing, effective transferring system and unified information service. For the mobility increasing, commuting railway must be faster by flexible train diagram and facilities improvement. And finally, optimal commuter train, 'Liner' is needful. And for effective transferring system, it is necessary that railway station and transferring center of a city be merged. And it is needful that direct management bus by railway company and unification fare system on metropolitan region. Next, for information service system improving, the commuting railway station must be regional transportation hub at first. And it is needful that unified line map of trunk line transportation systems and regionally collective transportation system information book. Therefore, metropolitan commuting railways compete with trunk line bus and cooperate with feeder line bus, and can make optimal metropolitan public transportation systems.

  • Energy saving is as important as developments of green energy and alternative energy. The need for development of high-efficiency lighting apparatus further increased. This paper compared with the size of electrical equipment and analyzed the size of electrical capacity for the railway station building. Also discussed energy saving measures that can be achieved by using high-efficacy lighting fixtures, and the percentage of the lighting load capacity of the entire building.
