SR001 제작기법 및 기대효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Manufacturing Techniques and Expected Effects for SR001)

  • As a public transit playing an important role in the era of high gas prices, subway corresponds the national strategy 'Low carbon, Green growth'; accordingly, passengers who would use the transportation are steadily increasing. Subway operators are required to provide subway users with services based on higher-quality system, safety, convenience & high reliability level. Furthermore, as the legally allowed maximum life time of EMUs is extended, it is necessary to localize & standardize the parts of EMUs. This paper presents a modelling of systematic EMU(SR001) manufacturing technique which enables us to reflect passenger and subway operator's demands in the whole EMU manufacturing process from the initial design phase to its completion by making full use of the know-how based on subway operators' experiences. SR001 enabled SMRT's staffs to participate in the EMU design & its equipment manufacturing; consequently, it realized the innovative system which meets passengers' requirements. Moreover, the process lead time was reduced dramatically. The result of this research will be helpful in providing useful guidelines for railway industry policy and development making in Korea.

전기식 출입문 시스템의 신뢰도 분석기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reliability Analysis Methodology of Passenger Door System of Electrical Type)

  • The door system for railway vehicles is the critical device directly influences on safety and satisfaction of passengers, Recently, electrical type of passenger door system is widely used for EMU type train instead of pneumatic type of passenger door system. The estimation of MTBF and failure rates for electrical type door system is essential. The manufacturor simply provides intrinsic reliability data for the railway operator. But actual reliability data based on operation and maintenance data is not complying with intrinsic reliability. In this study, operation and failure data associated with electrical door system were analyzed in order to determine actual MTBF and failure data. Intrinsic reliability data and service reliability data were studied to finallize much more practical and reliable actual reliability. Relax 2011 was used to predict intrinsic reliability and 217Plus model was also used to estimate of actual reliability data based on field data. Furthermore, it is necessary to keep studying on reliability prediction methodology and applying it in the field and doing research on improvement of reliability through feedback as well.

  • Urban railway system that leads the urban public transportation enables the passengers to use the subway system safely and conveniently by indicating the destination of, status of approach of and other information on train through Train Destination Equipment(TDE), which is one of the important passenger services. The existing system is composed of Host Station Equipment(HSE) and operator panel that receives necessary input on train information from Total Traffic Control System(TTC), Local Station Equipment(LSE) that controls Train Destination Indicator(TDI) installed at each station, and Train Destination Indicator that ultimately displays train information to the passengers using the train system. This study aims to realize stabilized and reliable announcement system for destination of train by considering processing procedure and method of expression of inputted information of the existing system of notification of announcement of destination of train that can be applied in the RFID, which is the base technology of USN for which service expansion is easy, and to realize system that considers interface with USN and expandability with other facilities in the future.

청주국제공항 활성화 방안 연구: 공항시설, 접근교통 및 운항 네트워크를 중심으로 (Study on Revitalization Plan for Cheongju International Airport: Focusing on Airport Facilities, Access Transportation, and Flight Network)

  • In this study, we reviewed access transportation, operating companies, and airport infrastructure to revitalize Cheongju International Airport. Regarding access transportation infrastructure, it is necessary to promote a railway network connecting the metropolitan inland line and the central inland region. In addition, active administrative support from local governments is required to ensure smooth progress in railway and highway infrastructure linkage projects, such as the Osong Connecting Line and Chungbuk Line, high-speed rail network promotion, and expansion of the Chungbuk Eastern Axis Expressway and Central Expressway. Regarding operator access infrastructure, continuous efforts are required to add and attract airlines based at Cheongju International Airport. Regarding airport infrastructure, the Cheongju International Airport runway needs complete resurfacing due to its deterioration. Domestic passenger capacity has exceeded 6.5%, and considering the increase in import and export of high value-added goods in the North Chungcheong region, it is necessary to build and expand passenger terminals and cargo terminals. Cheongju International Airport's runway does not have enough runway length to operate large and ultra-large aircraft, so if it is extended from the existing 2,744m to 456m to 3,200m, several benefits can be expected in terms of revitalizing Cheongju Airport, such as route expansion.

  • 철도차량의 많은 부품들 중에서도 특히 motor block은 차량의 안전과 성능을 좌우하는 핵심 요소이다. 이러한 이유로 철도차량의 안전성과 신뢰도 향상을 위해 motor block의 성능을 시험하고 조사하는 것은 매우 중요한 사항이다. 이와 같이, motor block은 철도차량에서 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있으나, 현재까지는 운영자의 경험에 의존하여 구매수량과 예비품수량이 결정되어지고 있다. 이로 인해 과다하게 많은 예비품이 발생하거나 예비품이 부족한 경우를 초래하는 등 문제가 발생되고 있다. 많은 예비품이 발생하는 경우 비용 문제로 유지하기 어려우며 반대로 예비품이 부족할 경우 철도 차량 시스템 전체에 악영향을 미칠 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고장률, MTBF, 규격 및 가이드 등 관련 자료의 분석을 이용하여 철도차량의 motor block의 optimal spare 산출을 위한 방안을 제시하고, 나아가 현장에서의 적정 예비 부품 수량을 결정하는 데에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

  • 선로용량은 수요에 부합되는 최대열차횟수를 결정하고 수송력 증대에 필요한 투자우선순위 판단을 위한 중요한 척도이다. 특히 2016년 중반부터 고속철도노선에 두 철도운영자가 운송사업을 개시함에 따라 선로용량과 실제배정 가능한 최대열차횟수 간에 상충이 발생하지 않고 유효운송경쟁이 보증될 수 있도록 선로용량을 산정 관리할 필요성이 있다. 열차종별 운행횟수, 도중정차패턴과 착발시각, 운행시간, 열차의 대피 또는 교행, 열차간의 안전시격 등에 따라 선로용량이 크게 달라지므로 현재까지도 실제 적용에 많은 논쟁이 있는 것도 사실이다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하고자 철도운영자의 운송정책을 고려한 열차운행 스케쥴을 반영할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 기법에 의한 선로용량 산정방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • Subway operators in the country have their own heavy maintenance facilities for maintaining rolling stock(EMU). However, it is true that the heavy maintenance facilities are not utilized 100% with the recent trend of lengthening maintenance cycle(intervals). With the fact, this enabled the existing maintenance facilities to be utilized for other purposes. By taking advantage of spare facilities and the maintenance staff with rolling stock assembly abilities, subway operators can assemble rolling stock by procuring parts for the assembly instead of purchasing trains from other companies. It is estimated that this will enhance the operator's technology and have a great impact on the management skill as well. This study attempts to find out how the heavy maintenance factory can be utilized for rolling stock assembly.

도시철도 승강장 스크린도어의 시스템보증 사례 연구 (A Case Study on System Assurance for Platform Screen Door in Urban Transit)

  • This paper presents a case study of PSD(Platform Screen Door) system assurance based on EN50126 life-cycle stage. By applying this system assurance, the accidents related to urban light transit railway especially that caused casualties could be reduced tremendously. This case study contributes significantly to the reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of the PSD system. Request For Proposal (RFP) of a rail road operator in which required by RAMS is prepared in which to ensure all system assurance activity and safety assessment are compulsory. The step-by-step activities and related deliverables are used which include functional analysis, FMECA, hazard identification analysis, system hazard analysis, maintainability analysis, FRACAS, and finally verification and validation of the system.

  • A event recorder system stores a train speed and the related information for train operation in real time. Using those information, we can analysis the train operation and the reason of train accident. Currently the event recorder only manipulate the data related the train operation mechanically and electrically. In this paper we propose the event recorder to record the voice communication between the manager in the control center and train operator. By recording the voice communication in the high speed train, the correctness of analysis of train accident can be increased. The system architecture of the event recorder with voice recording is studied and interface between other equipment is proposed. And the software architecture of new event recorder is developed. We study the method of converting analog voice signal into digital data and compressing method. Also the architecture of memory to store the compressed voice data and regeneration of original analog voice are studied.

  • In this paper, the analysis methods of available information are reviewed and it is elicited to the method of which the analysis results are applied to the Autonomous Decentralized Train Management System for the optimization at the point of the route control time and for making the efficiency shunting plan in the Autonomous Centralized Station Operation Control System. As the statistics and estimated information which are got through the utilizable information analysis are applied for the automatic route control function and the shunting plan management of the station operation control system, it is possible to use efficiently the station information by the autonomous route control system. And as the exact forecast information needed for the shunting plan establishment and the operation is provided to the operator, it is established to the efficient train operation plan.
