고속철도 강교량의 부식.피로신뢰성 기반 생애주기비용 분석 (Corrosion-Fatigue Reliability-Based Life Cycle Cost Analysis of High-Speed Railway Steel Bridges)

  • As it recently appears that Life Cycle Cost Analysis may be considered as new methodology for economic valuation of infrastructure many researches have been made to assess LCC(Life Cycle Cost) of each facility based on a reasonable methods. In general, LCC is composed of construction cost and expected maintenance repair cost. And especially, maintenance repair cost must be estimated to enhance the reliability through systematic and reasonable methods. However in Korea, because high speed railway steel bridges are recently constructed no direct statistical data are available for the account of the maintenance cost and then their maintenance characteristics are not linear yet. Therefore, the approach proposed in the paper utilizes a theoretical determination and degradation of the corrosion and fatigue of the bridges based on Rahgozar et al.(2006)'s model on fatigue notch factor considering into the corrosion to incorporate the corrosion effect into the fatigue strength reduction model. And then, the corresponding probability of failure is calculated in terms of the reliability index using S-N curve to formulate the fatigue limit state. Therefore, this paper proposes the minimum Life Cycle Cost through optimum maintenance plan analysis of high-speed railway steel bridges under construction. Finally, this paper reviews the proposed model in oder to confirm the applicability and feasibility by appling it to high speed railway steel bridges under construction

  • In the most current Turn-key bidding and Alternative design, is going to establish maintenance plan along with a economical assessment (VE/LCC assessment etc). Generally, establishment of maintenance plan is based on past experiences that are decided upon sensor position and amount with analytic or mechanical control section. But, it is more reasonable that maintenance plan based on level of significance for Probabilistic Risk, with presuming damage probability assessment of structural fracture scenarios. Therefore, in this study it is considered about the technique that an improved maintenance plan of railroad structures using PRA (Probabilistic Risk Assessment) on the basis of structural reliability theory. For this, in the paper, Preventive maintenance plan based on PRA is suggested with an application example of Pansong-Line (Line number 3) railway in Pusan works that actually executed Turn-key design.

Applying BIM and GIS to Railway Maintenance Works in Taiwan

  • Based on real jobs, this study was carried out the Railway maintenance works in Taiwan. It hopes to use Geographic Information System(GIS) and Building Information Modeling(BIM) for changing the maintenance model from "post-damage repair" to "preventive maintenance". Accordingly, this research will build a Railway Repairing Database that installs all repair data. This database will also connect to GIS so that can be the source of analysis and statistic for repair paln. The main results of research are as follows: I. All data stored on cloud space that raises the ability to manage and plan on repair. II. Simplify the file work and increase the quantity of case data to the manager who can get more reliable source. III. The data offer objective judgment to avoid subjective argument. IV. Add the GIS information to improve the maintenance because of good analisis.

  • The safety of staff, customers and of general Public in general viewed as one of the most important requirements in the urban transit. The maintenance computerization system for car of urban transit is a part of standardization and development of urban transit system, and We have been performed the establishment of maintenance computerization system from 2001 to 2005. The RAMS(reliability, availability, maintainability and safety) estimation for maintenance computerization system are utilized in a variety of computerization system for user's convenience and safety in maintenance. Ever since its inception though, the urban transit has searched for ways to improve reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of the railway subsystem. Provision of a reliable maintenance system include RAMS of the vehicles plays a very important role in achieving a safe system.

  • High RAM performance and efficient operation plan and maintenance equipment and policies are needed for improving the system availability performance such as punctuality and schedule adherence while reducing life cycle cost. Because railway systems are repairable, complex and have multi-echelon maintenance support structure, it is much complicated to set RAM performance targets and operation and maintenance plan. It is not easy to solve these problem by mathematical method and simulation can be consider for them. This article suggests the conceptual simulation model for analysing availability of railway system which has complex system structure and operation/maintenance environment.

  • Recently, many kinds of research have been actively developing for a standardization and information to the field of design, construction, supervision, maintenance and management on facilities. The establishment of standard classification system on tunnel facilities and inspection data is most important among the things to have a efficiently maintenance and management. This paper suggests standard classification system on tunnel facilities and inspection data, and, on the basis of that, code work with standard classification system and input work was practised. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a kind of statistics data and investigate a characteristics of inspection using statistic data on railway tunnel.

  • Line type rigid bearings for Open-Steel-Plate-Girder railway bridges have several problem in service, and they are unstable structurally. Thus, spherical bearings having advanced maintenance capability and device to resistance up-lift are developed and replace the existing ones. A experiment of maintenance for a new placed spherical bearings under real Open-Steel-Plate-Girder bridge is conducted and their good maintenance performance is proved. The dynamic behavior of the bridge is measured and analyzed for the two cases of the existing and replacing bearings. Therefore, the effect of the new spherical bearings on the railway bridge is assessed.

Railway Track Maintenance Scheduling using Artificial Bee Colony and Harmony Search

  • The objective of this paper is to propose a heuristic algorithm to optimize the railway track maintenance scheduling, a NP-hard problem, by reflecting conditions of the actual field more quickly and easily. We develop the mechanism based on Binary Artificial Bee Colony (BABC) and Binary Harmony Search (BHS), and verify their performance through simulation experiments. Our proposed BABC and BHS mechanisms were applied to problems composed of 30, 60, 100, and 200 operations for railway track maintenance scheduling to carry out experiments and analysis. On comparing it with the results solved by CPLEX, it is found that the mechanism could present an optimal solution within limited time by user.

Meeting the Demands for Major International Traffic Flows through Railnet Austria's Maintenance and Capacity Planning Regime

  • Serving as a strategic crossing point for major corridors in Central Europe, Railnet Austria's Infrastructure Network incurs continual increases in international traffic flows and is therefore subject to accumulating traffic congestion with potential restrictions to infrastructure access. This imposes challenges towards preserving open access to Railnet Austria's existing railway network and hinders quality infrastructure service during maintenance, repair, and upgrading. Through Railnet Austria's experiences, the economic viability of a railway network can be sustained through maintaining open access with good quality service of planned trainpaths, thus representing new challenges for future infrastructure maintenance and capacity planning. Railnet Austria's Capacity Management Department has proven that these challenges can be accommodated more effectively through recent technological developments in data warehousing and software development.
