Reliability Analysis of Train Ethernet Backbone (Train Ethernet Backbone(TEB) 구성에 따른 신뢰도 분석)

  • As the usage of the electric power train increases, the importance of the control network between the electric control devices grows. IEC proposed a revision of IEC-61375, a standard of the networking among electric devices within a train, to adopt Ethernet as a backbone of train network. This paper performed the reliability analysis of three configurations of Ethernet-based networking within a electric power train that are recommended in IEC-61375 standard. The analysis results show that MTTF(mean time to failure) of the redundant configuration is 20,086 hours, which is a about 3 times longer than the linear configuration.

  • [$80\;\sim\;90\%$ of Information that human masters from outside are image information which depend on sight. So, in case machine takes the place of human's function, role of image processing is very important. However, because human's sight function is formed through evolution and studying for a long time, substituting it for computer attend with unexpected difficulty. In railroad, there are many field which the application of automation system is expected by using computer instead of safety watch that depend on usual human sight, macrography. But, there are many research field and conditions in the railroad when various outside conditions are considered, comparing with another field.   • 본 논문에서는 LTS(Labeled Transition System)로 명세화된 철도 신호 제어 프로토콜의 동작의 정확성을 형식기법을 통해 검정하고 적합성 시험을 위한 시험계열을 자동으로 생성해 주는 도구로서 프로토콜 검정기와 적합성 시험 계열 생성기를 개발하였다. 본 도구는 과거에 사용되었던 비정형적 방법의 많은 오류와 모호함을 제거하고 프로토콜 개발시간 및 비용을 절약해 줌으로써 철도 신호 제어시스템의 안전성 및 신뢰성을 보장해 줄뿐만 아니라, 다른 시스템에도 응용되어 검정 및 시험을 효율적으로 수행하게 해주는 도구이다.

  • 시스템 또는 소프트웨어의 개발에 있어서 요구사항은 가장 중요한 산출물 중 하나이며, 요구사항의 오류를 수정하는 비용은 프로젝트가 진행됨에 따라 급격히 증가하기 때문에 잘 작성된 요구사항은 개발비용의 절감효과를 가져올 수 있다. 자연어의 모호성으로 발생될 수 있는 오류들을 줄이기 위해 정형적인 언어를 사용하여 요구사항을 명세하고, 요구사항의 완전성을 높일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 열차제어시스템의 핵심 기능 중 하나인 간격제어모듈의 요구사항을 상태차트로 명세 및 검증 하였다.

Study on Coordinate Transformation of Railroad Central Linear-line Using the Railroad Reference Points (철도기준점을 이용한 철도중심선형 좌표변환에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper through Honan high-speed railroad which is planned with the north and south axis, we will verify the feasibility of the coordinate conversion using railroad control points after regarding current planned-railroad as the linear central axises. From analysis, distortion of Y axis varies 21 cm to 40 cm diminishing to a gentle straight line, distortion of X axis varies 14 cm to 29 cm. Through a revision, the deviation value between the coordinates were 6 mm to 9 mm and it satisfied the allowable error of national geographic information institute which is following ITRF (International Terrestrial Reference Frame) and cadastral boundary survey (10 cm). consequently the coordinate conversion is possible using railroad control points as common control points.

  • To improve the efficiency and safety of railway systems, the train control system has considerably evolved from the ground-equipment-based control system (e.g. track circuit, interlocking system, etc.) into the on-board-equipment-based control system. In addition, this train control system enables the rolling stock to intelligently control the trackside facilities by introducing information and communication technologies (ICT). Accordingly, since the ICT-based train control system simplifies the railway system (i.e. the heavy ground-equipment can be removed), an efficient and cost-effective railway system can be realized. In this paper, we perform a feasibility test of the ICT-based train control system using a simulation. To this end, we implement a test-bed consisting of prototype machines of on-board/ground equipment and introduce an integrated operation scenario for the train control. The simulation results satisfy all the requirements of train operation according to the scenario and show the effectiveness of the proposed train control system.

  • It is necessary to charge electric vehicles in order to drive them. Thus, it is essential to have electric vehicle charging facilities in place. In the case of a household battery charger, the power similar to that consumed by a household with a basic contract power of 3kW is consumed. In addition, many consumers who own an electric vehicle will charge their vehicles at the same time. The simultaneous charging of electric vehicles will cause the load to increase, which then will lead to the imbalance of supply and demand in the distribution system. Thus, a smart charging scheme for electric vehicles is an essential element. In this paper, simulated conditions were set up using real data relating to Korea in order to design a smart charging technique suitable for the actual situation. The simulated conditions were used to present a smart charging technique for electric vehicles that disperses electric vehicles being charged simultaneously. The EVs and Smart Charging Technique are modeled using the Electro Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP).

  • Stainless steel sheets are widely used as the structure material for the railroad cars and the commercial vehicles. These kinds structures used stainless steel sheets are commonly fabricated by using the gas welding. Gas welding is very important and useful technology in fabrication of an railroad car and vehicles structure. However fatigue strength of the gas welded joints is considerably lower than parent metal due to stress concentration at the weldment, fatigue strength evaluation of gas welded joints are very important to evaluate the reliability and durability of railroad cars and to establish a criterion of long life fatigue design. In this paper, ${\Delta}P-N_f$ curve were obtained by fatigue tests. Using these results, the accelerated life test (ALT) is conducted. From the experimental results, an acceleration model is derived and acceleration factors are estimated. So it is intended to obtain the useful information for the fatigue lifetime of plug and ring gas welded joints and data analysis by statistic reliability method, to save time and cost, and to develop optimum accelerated life prediction plans.
