Conclusion: The results of this study comprehensively evaluated the positive recognition of development of multimedia items and SBT system in national examination of 7 types of healthcare occupation in professors, field specialists and students.
Unlike adults, cognitive ability and communication are not accurate in pediatric patients. Therefore movement due to psychological anxiety in X-ray photography is one of the factors that increase repeated irradiation. In order to minimize the rejection of X-ray and to improve the satisfaction of medical service, it is necessary to improve the environment of the radiological room to help psychological stability and to find a positive measure for reduction of radiation dose, including unnecessary. The subjects of this study were 186 pediatric patients from May to July, 2017, who were from 6 months to 36 months, The study group was set up a radiological room without auditory and visual environment changes is A group, except for changes in visual environment, the room where only auditory environmental changes were applied was group B, the auditory environment changes were excluded, and the room where only the visual environment change was applied was divided into group C, the auditory and visual environment changes were applied to the D. In group A, 10 retrospectives were obtained, 7 in group B, 5 in group C, and 2 in group D. Especially in group A and group D, statistically significant at p <0.053 In conclusion, hearing and visual environment changes affected the psychological stability of pediatric patient, and the repeated irradiation was reduced, thus improving the quality of medical services.
The purpose of this study is to manufacture a multi-function device (MFD) which can be applied to various types of weight-bearing view of the lower leg, and to compare the results with the images from the existing weight-bearing platforms (WBPs), thereby suggesting a clinical utilization. The MFD was manufactured, by considering the minimum adjustable heights of the platform for weight-bearing foot/ankle, platform for hindfoot alignment view, and X-ray tube of the X-ray device. A foot/ankle phantom was used to take the images of weight-bearing lateral foot in MFD and WBPs to compare the resolutions of the X-ray images using a quick modulation transfer function (MTF) program. Between both the images taken from the MFD and WBPs, there was no statistically significant difference found in the mean cycles per pixel (C/P) and the lines per image height (LPH) of the 50%-Contrast Spatial Frequency (MTF50), and 10-90% of Maximum Energy Rise Distance (10-90%), where p>0.05. The MFD is suggested for its clinical trial as a useful positioning device that can secure the patient's safety and manifoldly perform various inspections. Also, the recommendation of the positioning device as a policy can activate dedicated manufacturers, while also improving the quality of medical services.

Conclusion: ABC provide six benefits: (1) more accurate of service delivered (2) inproved pricing and contracting strategies (3) improved management decision making capability (4) greater ease of determining relevant costs (5) reduced nonvalue added costs.
In this paper, we present the Tele-PACS of radiology, which uses the communication network as asymetric satellite data communication system. The asymetric satellite data communication system uses receive-only satellite links for data delivery and PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network) modem or N-ISDN(Integrate Services Digital Network) for communication. The satellite communication linking shows the very high-speed performance than terrestial linking such as 28.8 kbps modem linking and 56Kbps linking. The satellite linking is 5 - 10 times faster than the 56Kbps linking. We conclude that 1) Satellite networking is currently the cheapest and fastest solution for internet access. 2) Web-based Image-Viewer enables small size hospitals in rural area to connect to central PACS easily and to retrieve the image data reliably. 3) The suggested teleradiology system using satellite networking could be adequate to fast telemedicine and telecare for rural hospitals especially located in geographically isolated areas such as islands.
Most hospital administrators in our country have doubted whether or not the size of their hospital personnel staffs, and the personnel management styles implemented are efficient or not. Actually, increased personnel expenditures due to sophisticated specialization of medical practices has become the biggest hospital expense. Therefore, it is said that hospitals can be run move efficiently by implementing reasonable management strategies for hospital personnel management. In this paper, the departments of diagnostic radiography in 16 general hospitals in Seoul, which were classified into 4 groups by the scale of hospital beds, were used as sample cases. Then, the data for the number of X-ray examination by diagnostic item was collected from sample hospitals. The unit hour spent on X-ray examinations in each diagnostic service was quoted from "A Study on setting-up of the relative value units of medical services and on the structure of current fee schedules" written by Mr. Ik Je Seong. The data analysis results are as follows; First, the number of hours per day spent on X-ray examinations in 13 hospitals out of 16 hospitals, was shorter than the general daily working hours (8 hours). Second, in the morning there was not enough time to work for X-ray examinations required, with the available manpower. In the afternoon, however, the situation was diametrically opposed to that in the morning. Third, in light of above results, though most hospitals employ sufficient personnel for the quantity of the actural work, they were always short-handed where their works were performed Fourth, this study tells us that there is a maldistribution of the work in the schedule : too much work for the available personnel in the morning. The following recommendations are resulted from the data analysis described above. First, it is recommended that all out-patients coming again, except specific patients(G. B. or I.V.P. etc) who have to have their X-ray examinations on an empty stomach in the morning among out-patients, be required to visit the hospital in the afternoon. Second, it is recommended that all new out-patients be required to make a reservation in order to equalize the number of patients throughout the day. Third, it is recommended that all in-patients, except specified patients, be arranged to have their X-ray examinations in the afternoon. Fourth, it is recommended that part time workers be employed during peak hours. This recommendation, if applied in a wider scale, would allow hospitals to overcome the problem of the maldistribution of work and personnel, and then more efficient hospital management through the appropirate personnel management procedures could be expected.
The purpose of this study was to analyze radiological technologists' (RT) task perceptions of intravenous injection behavior of contrast medium and use it as basic data for future workforce response plans. We surveyed a total of 172 RT using questionnaire terms consisting of demographic characteristics, job priorities, and RT' task perceptions of intravenous injection behavior. Statistical analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, frequency analysis, independent samples T-test, and ANOVA analysis. As a result, first, current clinical RT were highly aware of the need for intravenous injection behavior as a response to the future workforce of them, and the workload burden resulting from this was evaluated as low. Second, the fear of intravenous injection behavior was found to be significant, so it is judged to be useful to perform them as selective job actions rather than all RT' task. Third, the need for training courses and certification for RT' intravenous injection behavior is being raised, and additional specific research on this is required. Last, RT' positive perception of intravenous injection behavior could be expected as a foundation for improving national medical services, strengthening RT expertise, and expanding tasks.
Background : The objectives of this study were to examine patients' satisfaction with the DRG based payment method and its association with their awareness of the method, to examine patient reported changes in doctors' caring attitude, level of their out-of-pocket payments, providers' acceptance of patients' request for additional services after the program, and to examine changes in service utilization recorded in medical records. Method : One hundred-four patients who had cesarean sections before and after the demonstration program at two hospitals located in Seoul participated in the study. Patients were surveyed before discharges when their charges were finalized. Their medical records were reviewed as well to collect data for service utilization during hospital stays. The association between patients' satisfaction with the payment method and their awareness of the method was analyzed by ${\chi}^2$-test, and the significance of changes in providers' acceptance of patients' request for additional services and service utilization after the program were examined by ${\chi}^2$-test and t-test, respectively. Results : A large proportion of patients did not know of the DRG based payment method at the time of survey and a significantly larger proportion of patients who came to the hospitals with the knowledge satisfied with the method. About the same proportion of patients reported improvement and deterioration in doctors' caring attitude compare to the previous hospitalizations and a similar result was found concerning out-of-pocket payments. Providers' acceptance of patients' request for medication, PCA and painless delivery decreased significantly after the program whereas the acceptance for additional hospital days and laboratory and radiology tests did not. Length of stay, the numbers of days on antibiotics and antianemic medication, and the number of blood tests decreased significantly after the program, however, decreases in the rate of antianemic medication and the number of urine analyses were not statistically significant. Re-operation, in-hospital death, and complications were not observed before and after the program. Conclusion : The study findings indicated a need for better patient education and publicity about the newly introduced payment method to improve their satisfaction with the system. Other study findings concerning service utilization and quality of care indicators were consistent with the government funded evaluation studies.
Currently, many hospitals are hastening to introduce digital radiography systems. This is a direct result of the intentions to improve medical services and to digitalize radiology information systems, and is also leading to the improvement of medical imaging technology. Throughout F/S system's long history, many people have researched the image quality and dosage concerning these systems, and as a result, huge improvements in the dosage of patients were possible. Similarly, I believe that DR systems need the same kind of effort. Of course, decreases in dosage that ignore image quality are unthinkable. The results of experiments conducted by five hospitals during a period of 3 months brought to us the conclusions listed below. 1. Based on the comparison and analysis of the exposure control of F/S systems and DR systems, DR systems generally showed higher exposure control for parts of the phantom that became thicker, and the exposure control improved rapidly as the thickness increased. 2. DR systems still proved to be somewhat deficient in resolution measurements compared to existing F/S systems. The image processing part of DR systems contributed much to these result. 3. Under conditions used clinically, the dosage measurements of DR systems were generally higher regardless of region. 4. According to the evaluation of image quality, DR systems showed a higher degree of satisfaction as the thickness of the region became thinner. As mentioned above and based on the mutual relationship experiments between the dosage and image quality of F/S systems and DR systems, research to increase the satisfaction of DR systems must be considered.

Purpose: This study was performed to quantify the repeat rate of imaging acquisitions based on different clinical examinations, and to assess the prevalence of error types in intraoral bitewing and periapical imaging using a digital complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS) intraoral sensor. Materials and Methods: A total of 8,030 intraoral images were retrospectively collected from 3 groups of undergraduate clinical dental students. The type of examination, stage of the procedure, and reasons for repetition were analysed and recorded. The repeat rate was calculated as the total number of repeated images divided by the total number of examinations. The weighted Cohen's kappa for inter- and intra-observer agreement was used after calibration and prior to image analysis. Results: The overall repeat rate on intraoral periapical images was 34.4%. A total of 1,978 repeated periapical images were from endodontic assessment, which included working length estimation (WLE), trial gutta-percha (tGP), obturation, and removal of gutta-percha (rGP). In the endodontic imaging, the highest repeat rate was from WLE (51.9%) followed by tGP (48.5%), obturation (42.2%), and rGP (35.6%). In bitewing images, the repeat rate was 15.1% and poor angulation was identified as the most common cause of error. A substantial level of intra- and inter-observer agreement was achieved. Conclusion: The repeat rates in this study were relatively high, especially for certain clinical procedures, warranting training in optimization techniques and radiation protection. Repeat analysis should be performed from time to time to enhance quality assurance and hence deliver high-quality health services to patients
