  • 교포사회에서 한국어 방송국은 현지 교포들과 모국에 대한 정보를 전달하는 중요한 매개체로써 재외 교포들 간의 문화공동체 발전과한민족 정체성확립에중요한 인프라역할을 한다.[1] 하지만 이러한 역할과는 별개로 현재 대부분의 해외 한국어 방송사들은 운영에서부터 제작환경에 이르기까지 많은 어려움을 겪고 있어 그 미래를 긍정적으로만 볼 수 없는 실정이다. 이에 본고에서는 현재의 해외 한국어 방송 지원 사업에 대해 조망하고 효율적인 정부지원방안에 대해 모색하려 한다.

The study on efficient conversion Radio media into digital - Focusing on the analysis results of radio audience's attitude - (국내 라디오방송의 효율적인 디지털전환 방안에 관한 연구 - 라디오 방송 청취행태 분석을 중심으로 -)

  • Due to the advance of technology, the technology of various media is rapidly converged into digital technology. However, the conversion into digital radio is not achieved in korea yet. This paper is to suggest the best method of digital conversion of radio in korea by examining some conversion examples in foreign countries. In addition, the survey results on radio audience attitude is analysed by 2,000 audience samples in Korea based on the literature analysis. Radio is the unique media which have the strengths such as mobility, individuality, presence, broad coverage and instant. Most of all, radio cannot help keeping continuously the public broadcasting service in the future. So, the conversion into digital radio is crucial to sustain the competitiveness in digital media environment. This paper suggested that the digital conversion of radio broadcasting needs DRM transmission and should pursuit the policy which is distinguished between a AM and a standard FM, and between domestic broadcast and an international broadcast. Additionally, this paper proposed that we need to develop the multiple device for receiving of signal and the setting of standard technology.

  • Recently n Korea, the House of Commons and terrestrial broadcasting facilities integrated with FM radio and the satellite compulsory was amended to transfer MATV(Master Antenna Television) adjusted by SMATV(Satellite Master Antenna Television). While the SMATV was accepted by default in most other countries, our county did not accept it as the default for broadcast. Because domestic cable and satellite television service providers are conflicts with their interest. bAs a result, the hybrid amplifier for SMATV technology development and volume production for the state is insufficient. Therefore, terrestrial television broadcast bands (54 ~ 806Mhz) and FM radio broadcast band (88 ~ 108Mhz) band satellite with (950 ~ 2150Mhz) to amplify the development of a broadband amplifier with subsequent resolution of problems is also presented in this study.

Performance Evaluation of PBCH Detection of LTE-Based 5G MBMS and 5G NR for Cellular Broadcast (셀룰러 방송을 위한 LTE 기반 5G MBMS와 5G NR의 PBCH 검출 성능 평가)

  • This paper presents an improved scheme for detection of the physical broadcast channel (PBCH) in long-term evolution (LTE)-based fifth-generation (5G) multimedia broadcast and multicast services (MBMS) and 5G new radio (NR) for cellular broadcast. In the time domain, by combining the correlations between the received signal and primary synchronization signal (PSS) within all SS/PBCH blocks, the frame synchronization and the start position of the SS/PBCH blocks can be obtained. In this paper, to improve the detection performance of PBCH for 5G NR, a combining scheme of PBCH signals within a frame is proposed. In addition, the performance of the proposed detection scheme is evaluated and the performance is compared with the conventional scheme for PBCH detection of LTE-based 5G MBMS. The simulation results show that the detection performance of PBCH for 5G NR is improved by combining the PBCH signals and outperforms LTE-based 5G MBMS under the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), fixed, and mobile environments.

  • In this paper, we discuss the BBA based power scaling scheme in cognitive radio technique for WPAN system. We focus on Cognitive Radio environment which is currently ongoing standard procedure and is able to focus on future communication and show the transmitted power scaling of CR user. We suggest the available communication method of CR user, while it is simultaneously satisfying both minimum interference of PU(Primary User) and possible communication of CR user. The method is using the BBA, and we show several merits in face of received SINR. and we prove that CR vary its transmit power while maintaining a guarantee of service to primary users.

  • As network technology evolves fast, media contents of particular countries are being consumed in not only the countries but also other countries around the world. Like this, in case that a particular media content is consumed in various country, method for inserting or replacing in-program ads which are appropriate to national/regional environment seems needed. For this, this paper proposes measures to insert in-program ads on hybrid broadcast environment based on MMT, next generation broadcasting standard. This paper analyzed structure of MMT, designed a system for verifying the proposed system and showed the result of experiment.

  • Recently, Transmitter Identification(TxID) technology has been issued as a technology of ATSC DTV. ATSC DTV networks are comprised of a plurality of transmitters, broadcasting the same signal sing one frequency network(SFN) connected to EDOCR. In this single frequency network, TxID technology has been recognized as a technology in the ATSC DTV system since it enables the broadcast authorities and classify multiple transmitters. However, conventional TxID uses extremely long spreading sequence to identifying transmitters, so it increases H/W complexity and registers. Thus, to solve those hardware problems, we propose an efficient signal processing technology using decimation algorithm. Furthermore, we certified the availability of the proposed algorithm via various simulations.

  • In this paper, the spectrum sharing cognitive radio network is investigated. For assuming that channels for the secondary network are double Rayleigh fading channels, we derive the exact and the approximate outage probabilities. Numerical results verify the validity of our theoretical analysis by comparison with Monte Carlo simulation results.

  • 본 논문에서는 인터액티브 스마트 TV 적용을 위한 사운드트랙 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 동영상을 오디오와 비디오특징을 구분한 후, 각 오디오와 비디오 신호를 분석한다. 비디오 신호의 분석은 MPEG-2 비디오 인코더로부터 영상의 장면전환과 시작과 끝 위치를 검출하고, 오디오 신호의 분석은 AC-3 오디오 인코더로부터 오디오 특징을 추출한 후, 오디오 정보의 비트 벡터를 추출하여 데이터베이스를 생성한다. 생성된 데이터베이스와 사용자가 북마크를 하여 요청한 쿼리와 비교를 통하여 오디오 특징정보가 유사한 부분의 장면을 검색하고, 검색된 장면을 사용자에게 제공한다. 제안된 시스템의 성능 측정을 위해서 뉴스, 패널토론, 음악방송, 광고, 드라마 등 50개 TV 방송 프로그램의 데이터베이스를 이용해서 정확성을 측정하였다.
