Sixth generation will exploit satellite, aerial, and terrestrial platforms jointly to improve radio access capability and unlock the support of on-demand edge cloud services in three-dimensional (3D) space, by incorporating mobile edge computing (MEC) functionalities on aerial platforms and low-orbit satellites. This will extend the MEC support to devices and network elements in the sky and forge a space-borne MEC, enabling intelligent, personalized, and distributed on-demand services. End users will experience the impression of being surrounded by a distributed computer, fulfilling their requests with apparently zero latency. In this paper, we consider an architecture that provides communication, computation, and caching (C3) services on demand, anytime, and everywhere in 3D space, integrating conventional ground (terrestrial) base stations and flying (non-terrestrial) nodes. Given the complexity of the overall network, the C3 resources and management of aerial devices need to be jointly orchestrated via artificial intelligence-based algorithms, exploiting virtualized network functions dynamically deployed in a distributed manner across terrestrial and non-terrestrial nodes.
This paper describes the design and fabrication of a high power amplifier which is a component of TDL(Tactical Data Link) aircraft terminal. We applied high-speed frequency hopping technology, cognitive radio technology, and receive filter bank technology to efficiently use limited frequency resources with radar and other communication equipment using the same frequency band. The high-power amplifier is physically composed of a transmitter, a receiver, a mechanical part, and a cable assembly, and is designed to meet temperature characteristics and electrical characteristics such as maximum transmission distance and reception sensitivity. Modeling and simulator were used to satisfy the requirement of high power amplifier. The transmit power and the noise figure were measured at 50.02dBm and 2.682dB, respectively. It was confirmed that all the required specifications were satisfied in the electrical characteristics test and the environmental characteristic test.
Nowadays, smart meter (SM) technology is widely effectively used. In addition, power allocation (PA) and channel selection (CS) are considered problems with many proposed approaches. In this paper, we will suggest a specific scenario for an SM configuration system and show how to solve the optimization problem for transmission between SMs and the data concentrator unit (DCU), the center that collects the data from several SMs, via simulation. An efficient CS with PA scheme is proposed in the TV white space system, which uses the TV band spectrum. On the basic of the optimal configuration requirements, SMs can have a transmission schedule and channel selection to obtain the optimal efficiency of using spectrum resources when transmitting data to the DCU. The optimal goals discussed in this paper are the maximum capacity or maximum channel efficiency and the maximum allowable power of the SMs used to satisfy the quality of service without harm to another wireless system. In addition, minimization of the interference to the digital television system and other SMs is also important and needs to be considered when the solving coexistence scenario. Further, we propose a process that performs an interference analysis scheme by using the spectrum engineering advanced Monte Carlo analysis tool (SEAMCAT), which is an integrated software tool based on a Monte-Carlo simulation method. Briefly, the process is as follows: The optimization process implemented by genetic evolution optimization engines, i.e., a genetic algorithm, will calculate the best configuration for the SM system on the basis of the interference limitation for each SM by SEAMCAT in a specific configuration, which reaches the solution with the best defined optimal goal satisfaction.

To overcome a scarcity of radio resources to mobile broadband service, the usage of TV white space gains much attraction around the world. This paper carries out an interference analysis either by performing realistic experiments or by executing statistical Monte-Carlo simulation to exploit interference probability. The results obtained from experiments are compared to those from simulations in order to clarify the coexistence of utilization of TV band devices (TVBD) in indoor circumstances. Along the execution of our experiment in the presence of DTV receiver, we apply to a variety of transmission parameters proposed in FCC for TVBD. According to experimental and simulation works, the allowable transmission powers of TVBD systems are exploited for the plausible which are coexist on the first as well as the second adjacent frequency bands. Throughout results, it can conclude that TVBD systems can be coexisted via achieving proper transmission powers depending on the locations of themselves without showing harmful interference to DTV reception.

MoIP is technology to transmit a variety of multimedia over IP, but compared to traditional voice services require greater bandwidth and radio resources in a wireless environment has already reached the limits. Therefore, as a way to resolve this issue for header compression is a lot of research. SCTP protocol header compression using ROHC-SCTP has been research, ROHC-SCTP packet structure of the ROHC algorithm with different types and, SCTP header compression to apply the characteristics of the poor performance of many of these have drawbacks. Therefore, in this paper to solve these problems better header compression algorithm was designed. In this paper, the proposed algorithm to evaluate the NS-2 simulation environment was modeled on the header compression operation. Evaluation results, the algorithm designed in this paper compared to ROHC-SCTP algorithms determine the overhead rate was low, the data types vary a lot better when the total header size was small.

Mobile communication systems define user state transition mechanisms in order to manage radio resources and battery power efficiently. In the state transition mechanism, a state with a higher energy consumption inherently offers a shorter access delay, so there is a tradeoff between the energy and delay performances. In this paper, we analyze the user state transition mechanism of UMTS by considering the bursty traffic attributes of mobile applications. We perform a numerical evaluation for both the energy consumption and the activation delay by Markov modeling of the state transition mechanism, and investigate their tradeoff relationship as functions of operational parameters. The resulting energy-delay tradeoff curves clearly show an achievable performance bound of the user state transition mechanism and also offer an optimal operation strategy to minimize the energy consumption while guaranteeing the delay requirement.
Throughout the history of digital communication, the digital speech coder is used as speech compression tool. Nowadays, the speech coder has been rapidly developed in the area of mobile communication system to overcome severe channel error and limitation of radio frequency resources. Due to the development of high performance communication system, high quality of speech coder is needed. This kind of speech coder can be used not only in communication services but also in digital multimedia services. In this paper, we describe the technologies of digital speech coder which are used in wire and wireless communication. We also present a summary of recent speech coding standards for narrowband and wideband applications. Finally we introduce the technical trends of next generation speech coder.

Generally, the wireless network provides priority to handover calls instead of new calls to maintain its quality of service (QoS). Because of this QoS provisioning, a call admission control (CAC) scheme is essential for the suitable management of limited radio resources of wireless networks to uphold different factors, such as new call blocking probability, handover call dropping probability, channel utilization, etc. Designing an optimal CAC scheme is still a challenging task due to having a number of considerable factors, such as new call blocking probability, handover call dropping probability, channel utilization, traffic rate, etc. Among existing CAC schemes such as, fixed guard band (FGB), fractional guard channel (FGC), limited fractional channel (LFC), and Uniform Fractional Channel (UFC), the LFC scheme is optimal considering the new call blocking and handover call dropping probability. However, this scheme does not consider channel utilization. In this paper, a CAC scheme, which is termed by a uniform fractional band (UFB) to overcome the limitations of existing schemes, is proposed. This scheme is oriented by priority and non-priority guard channels with a set of fractional channels instead of fractionizing the total channels like FGC and UFC schemes. These fractional channels in the UFB scheme accept new calls with a predefined uniform acceptance factor and assist the network in utilizing more channels. The mathematical models, operational benefits, and the limitations of existing CAC schemes are also discussed. Subsequently, we prepared a comparative study between the existing and proposed scheme in terms of the aforementioned QoS related factors. The numerical results we have obtained so far show that the proposed UFB scheme is an optimal CAC scheme in terms of QoS and resource utilization as compared to the existing schemes.
It has been only a few years since drones have been introduced to Korea, and as the use of drones has increased in industrial sites as well as in hobby activities, accidents such as workers' body parts coming into contact with rotating propellers have been occurring since 2016. Industrial accident cases are being filed. In the case of a remote control vehicle, if you release the remote controller in the event of an abnormal situation, it stops in place and no further danger occurs but in case of drones flying over the sky is different. Sudden motor stops during flight, uncontrolled changes in flight posture, loss of radio waves, loose propeller, etc, numerous factors can lead to accidents due to unintentional movements. Therefore, drone operators need safety knowledge as well as high knowledge about drones. However, drones with a weight of less than 12 kg can fly without a pilot's certification, and therefore, a minimum accident prevention measure is required. 10 accidents approved as industrial accidents since 2016, 23 accidents surveyed by general drone operator, 40 accidents surveyed by the Korean Consumer Resources Unfortunately for the purpose of writing this paper, drones are a new species and do not have many parameters for analysis but my experience has shown that the type of disaster does not deviate significantly. In addition, there is no paper that analyzes drone related industrial accidents not only in Korea but also in other countries. However, even if you watch an overseas drone accident video through YouTube, it is not much different from the case that occurs in Korea. I hope that this study will be of little help to all the drone pilots as well as the work safety of industrial drones used in industrial sites.
For the efficient use of the insufficient frequency resources, a precise prediction of field strength based on various propagation environments should be set up to design of radio stations with reliable transmit power and service coverage. Therefore, many countries have tried to secure the propagation models suitable for their each geographical environments, and also, some models like BCAST were developed by Korea, but these models give the different results compared to measured values. In this paper, based on the measurements of DTV broadcasting services in domestic rural area, analysis and comparison of ITU-R P.1546 and BCAST models provide errors between measured and predicted values, and some points for improving SMI system has been proposed. As a result, P.1546 model provides the valid predicted data similar to measured data, but BCAST model has some problems of large deviation and higher prediction to measured data. In future, these problems and fading loss due to a forest or group of trees, and reflection loss due to a lake or sea need to be studied carefully.
