  • Recently, though it was developed several services using the context-awareness technology of IoT, there exist also obstacles for high quality service. Specifically it is short the study for uncertainty of context-awareness. This study focused on understanding the effect of frequency interference among several environmental factors for location determination to increase precision of location determination. It was found that frequency interference between devices using 2.4Ghz frequency effect on the location determination precision. It was resulted that frequency interference increase the error of location determination precision. Then, we confirmed that it was required the suitable compensation method corresponding to frequency interference.

  • Noise and Radio-frequency interference or RFI causes a significant restriction on the Free induction Decay or FID signal detection of the Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance procedure. Therefore, using this method in non-isolated environments such as industry and ports requires extraordinary measures. For this purpose, noise reduction algorithms and increasing signal-to-noise-and-interference ratio or SNIR have been used. In this research, sodium nitrite has been used as a sample and algorithms have been tested in a non-isolated environment. The resonant frequencies for the 150 g of test sample were measured at 303 K at about 1 MHz and 3.4 MHz. The main novelty in this study was, (1) using two types of antennas in the receiver to improve adaptive noise and interference cancellation, (2) using a separate helical antenna in the transmitter to eliminate the duplexer, (3) estimating the noise before sending the pulse to calculate the weighting factors and reduce the noise by adaptive noise cancellation, (3) reject the interference by blanking algorithm, (4) pulse integration in the frequency domain to increase the SNR, and (5) increasing the detection speed by new pulse integration technique. By interference rejection and noise cancellation, the SNIR is improved to 9.24 dB at 1 MHz and to 7.28 dB at 3.4 MHz, and by pulse integration 44.8 dB FID signal amplification is achieved, and the FID signals are detected at 1.057 MHz and 3.402 MHz at room temperature.

  • Cognitive Radio is an intelligent interference avoidance idle spectrum communication system for your environment and actively determine the frequency bandwidth recycling by sharing the spectrum in a way that maximizes the efficiency of radio resource technology. At this time, this does not cause interference to the PU spectrum sensing technology is important. If you can choose, depending on the state of the channel spectrum sensing algorithm will be more efficient sensing. Matched filter detection system model that reflects the individual sensing through a fuzzy controller in this paper, energy detection and self-correlation detection are proposed and analyzed.

  • In this paper, we have proposed the frequency interference analysis system using both LabVIEW and Universal Software Radio Peripheral(USRP) for performance degradation analysis of Multi Input Multi Output-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(MIMO-OFDM) Wireless Local Area Network(WLAN) due to Wireless Local Area Network(WPAN) interferer. The proposed system consists of three part, i.e., victim, channel, and interferer. Both victim and interferer are implemented by LaBVIEW and a USRP board. Then interfering signal and additive white Gaussian noise are combined with the wanted signals of a victim. Measured Bit Error Rate(BER) at the victim receiver is compared with theoretical BER according to various signal to interference plus noise power ratio (SINR) values. Measured and theoretical BER curves show good agreement.

  • This paper proposed an improvement scheme for effective usage of radio-frequency management system(RFMS), which has been operated to facilitate national spectrum management and monitoring in Korea. Based on the wave propagation models, interference analysis algorithms, and sharing criteria recommended by ITU-R, we derived criteria for the automated selection of the channel interference analysis algorithms and sharing conditions adequate to the environment to be analysed. Then using the obtained criteria, computer and program has been made and shown to select the most appropriate propagation models, interference analysis algorithms, and sharing criteria from the ones provided in RFMS, with the illustrative example.

  • In this paper, we proposed the method of the interference evaluation between the microwave oven noise and the wireless LAN(Local Area Network) by using the GTEM cell. We used microwave oven noise in time to assess the interference unintentional noise effects on wireless LAN and realized by combining an AM(Amplitude Modulation) modulator and a FM(frequency Modulation) modulator. Also the GTEM cell can be used to guarantee the reliability by the evaluations of the frequency and time responses. As measurement results for the APD(Amplitude Probability Distribution) of the interfering noise we analyzed the effect of microwave oven noise to the throughput of wireless LAN.

  • In-band full-duplex (IFD) communication has recently attracted a great deal of interest because it potentially provides a two-fold spectral efficiency increase over half-duplex communications. In this paper, we propose a novel digital self-interference cancelation (DSIC) algorithm for an IFD communication system in which two nodes exchange orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols. The proposed DSIC algorithm is based on the least-squares estimation of a self-interference (SI) channel with block processing of multiple OFDM symbols, in order to eliminate the fundamental and harmonic components of SI induced through the practical radio frequency devices of an IFD transceiver. In addition, the proposed DSIC algorithm adopts discrete Fourier transform processing of the estimated SI channel to further enhance its cancelation performance. We provide a minimum number of training symbols to estimate the SI channel effectively. The evaluation results show that our proposed DSIC algorithm outperforms a conventional algorithm.

  • Low-noise amplifiers in the radio-frequency (RF) band based on the direct current (DC) superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) can be used for quantum-limited measurements in precision physics experiments. For the prediction of peak-gain frequency of these amplifiers, we need a reliable design formula for the resonance frequency of the microstrip circuit. We improved the formula for the resonance frequency, determined by parameters of the DC SQUID and the input coil, and compared the design values with experimental values. The proposed formula showed much accurate results than the conventional formula. Minor deviation of the experimental results from the theory can be corrected by using the measured geometrical parameters of the input coil line.

  • The fifth generation (5G) is a state-of-the-art mobile communication access technology that uses sub 6 GHz bands and mmWave. Presently, the 5G network is partially deployed along with 4G in areas with dense traffic. In the future, the demand for the 5G bandwidth may increase. Thus, it is necessary to study the coexistence between the 5G and radio systems using adjacent or same channels to eliminate the interference between radio systems and efficiently utilize the frequency. This paper analyzed the impact of 5G new radio downlink on the fixed-satellite service earth station operating at the co-channel and adjacent channel in the upper 3.7 GHz band using the Spectrum Engineering Advanced Monte Carlo Analysis Tool, which is based on the Monte Carlo method. The results of this paper can be utilized for planning the frequency allocation of 5G networks; they can also be used as a guideline for deploying 5G base stations around a fixed-satellite service earth station.
