Changes fo Electric conductivity of Amorphous Silicon by Argon radical Annealing

  • The stability of hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) films under the light soaking are very important since the applications of a-Si:H films are solar cells, color sensors, photosensors, and thin film transistors(TFTs). We found the changes of the electric conductivity and the conductivity activation energy (Ea) of a-Si:H films by argon radical annealing. The deposition rate of a-Si:H films depends on the argon radical annealing time. The optical band gap and the hydrogen contents in the a-Si:H films are changes along the argon radical annealing time. We will discuss the microscopic processes of argon radical annealing in a-si:H films.

색상변화를 갖는 객체추적 알고리즘 (An Algorithm for Color Object Tracking)

  • 기존의 색상 기반의 Mean Shift 알고리즘을 이용한 객체추적 알고리즘은 초기 색상 정보가 사라질 경우 정확한 객체추적을 수행할 수 없다. 본 논문은 객체의 색상이 변할 때 색상 정보를 변경하여 정확히 추적하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안 알고리즘은 현재의 위치를 중심으로 다음 객체 위치에 해당하는 밀도가 가장 높은 위치를 Mean Shift알고리즘으로 구하고, 바꿔 색상 정보를 변경하는 반복적인 기법을 사용한다. 이를 통해 처음 설정한 객체의 색상이 바뀌거나 사라지더라도 정확한 객체추적을 할 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 제안 알고리즘을 구현하고, 실험 결과로 성능을 입증한다.

고분자물질과 접촉한 자기조립단분자막 전극 물질의 기계화학 현상 분광학적 연구 (Mechanochemistry on Self-Assembled Monolayer(SAM) /Electrodes after Contacting with Polymeric Stamp)

  • We investigated mechanochemical radical, which is concomitant with chemical lift-off lithography(CLL), on the self-assembled monolayer(SAM)/electrodes and a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) using a colorimetric and a spectroscopic method. The 11-mercaptoundecanol(MUO)/Au or the 11-hydroxyundecylphosphonic acid (HUPA)/ITO were contacted with bare or activated PDMS. After contact, the each of SAM/substrates and the PDMS were immersed in a 2,2 Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) radical scavenger. The color of the DPPH exposed to the PDMS was changed from purple to yellow and the absorbance decreased definitely at 515 nm wavelength. The SAM/substrates, however, have caused small changes in spectroscopic property, indicating no existence of radical species. We concluded that mechanochemical radicals were formed by homolytic cleavage of PDMS molecules upon external force and hardly transferred on the SAM/substrates.

개암 첨가가 청국장의 품질과 항산화 활성에 미치는 영향 (Changes in the Quality Characteristics and Antioxidative Activities of Cheonggukjang prepared Using Hazelnut)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the changes in the antioxidant activity of Cheonggukjang with the addition of hazelnut. The number of Bacillus subtilis and the content of crude fat were increased with the addition of hazelnut. The addition of hazelnut made the color of Cheonggukjang lighter. The flavonoid and polyphenol content were sharply increased in proportion to the addition of hazelnut. The DPPH radical scavenging activity of Cheonggukjang was also increased with the addition of hazelnut. Taken together, it was found that the addition of hazelnut had a positive influence on Cheonggukjang by increasing the antioxidant activity.

감마선 및 전자선 조사에 따른 톳 자숙액 에탄올 추출물의 색상 및 생물학적 활성 변화 비교 (The Comparison of Color and Physiological Properties of Hizikia fusiformis Cooking Juice Ethanol Extract Irradiated with Gamma Ray and Electron Beam)

  • This study was carried out to assess the effect of radiation on the changes of Hizikia fusiformis cooking juice ethanol extract and to compare the effect of gamma ray and electron beam. On the applying radiation, the dark color of cooking juice became changed with higher brightness and lower redness and yellowness. But, there was no difference between gamma ray radiation and electron beam radiation. 1,1-Diphenyl-2-picryl-hydrazyl radical scavenging activity and tyrosinase inhibitory activity of cooking juice were shown to be increased by radiation independent on the radiation source types. The reason for the increased biological activities was caused by higher content of total phenolic compounds. The results could be applied to investigate the effect of radiation source on the color and antioxidant activity of biomaterials, and it was thought that irradiation could be an promising method for enhancing the biological activity of biomaterials.

감마선 조사가 오미자의 생리 활성과 색상 변화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Gamma-Irradiation on Biological Activities and Color Changes of Extracts of Schizandrae fructus)

  • 오미자 추출물을 감마선 조사하여 색택 개선, 항산화성, 항균성에 대하여 실험하였다. 오미자의 추출 방법은 열수추출, ethanol, methanol 그리고 acetone으로 추출하였으며, 감마선 조사는 10, 20 그리고 30 kGy로 하였다. 감마선 조사 선량이 증가할수록 명도(Hunter color L-value)의 경우 비조사구보다 조사구가 월등히 밝은 색을 보였으며, 적색도(a값)와 황색도(b값)는 감소하는 결과를 보여줬다. TBA가 분석 결과는 ethanol로 추출한 경우 가장 높은 항산화력을 확인하였다. 전자 공여능의 측정 결과는 열수 추출한 경우에 비조사구와 조사구 모두 가장 활성이 높았으며 ethanol과 methanol의 경우에는 비조사구와 비슷한 활성을 보여줬다. 오미자 추출 용매별 및 감마선 조사 선량에 따른 항균효과는 B. subtilis, B. natto, B. megaterium, S. aureus, Sal, typhymurium과 E. coli 등 모든 균주에 대해 아주 높은 항균 활성을 나타내었다. 또한 오미자 추출물은 30 kGy까지 감마선을 조사하여도 추출물의 생리 활성에는 영향을 미치지 않았다 따라서 감마선 조사 기술은 천연 식품 보존제 및 화장품 원료로서 사용하기 위한 오미자 추출물의 색택 개선에 활용 가능성이 높을 것으로 기대된다.

야콘 뿌리 추출액 코팅 쌀 제조 및 항산화력과 관능적 품질 연구 (A Study on the Development of Cooked Rice according to the Different Coating Ratio of Yacon(Polymia sonchifolia) Root and Its Antioxidant and Sensory Properties)

  • The objective of this study was to develop functional rice coated with yacon roots extracts and to evaluate the antioxidant properties and physiological activity of rice coated with yacon extract. The washed rice was coated by spraying yacon extract at 10, 20, 30, and $40^{\circ}Brix$ and dried at room temperature. The moisture contents, color changes, antioxidant properties as total polyphenolics and DPPH radical scavenging activity and instrumental texture property and sensory evaluation change in the yacon root extracts coated rice and uncoated cooked rice were observed during 3 days of storage. Increasing the coating concentration was associated with lower color values(L value) and moisture contents. Total phenolics and DPPH radical scavenging properties generally increased in the cooked rice coated with yacon root extract more than the control (non-coated rice). However, D-20($20^{\circ}Brix$ of the yacon root concentration) resulted in better textural properties and sensory overall acceptability in cooked rice on 0 and 3 storage days. It was concluded that the optimum coating ration of rice and added functional yacon rice were $20^{\circ}Brix$ and 7% respectively, in proportion to the total weight of raw rice.

추출방법과 감마선 조사에 따른 귤피 추출물 생리활성의 변화 (Physiological Activities of Citrus Peel Extracts by Different Extraction Methods and Gamma Irradiation)

  • 가공 과정에서 대량 발생하는 폐기물 중 하나인 귤피를 천연 기능성 소재로 개발하기 위한 기초자료를 마련하고자 추출방법을 달리한 귤피 추출물의 생리활성을 확인하였다. 또한 감마선 조사에 의한 귤피 추출물의 생리활성 변화에 관하여도 관찰하였다. 정치추출의 경우 열수추출에 비해 초기 L$^{*}$ 값이 낮은 반면 a$^{*}$ 값과 b$^{*}$ 값이 높았으나 저장기간 또는 감마선 조사에 의해 차이가 없어졌으며, 감마선 조사선량의 증가에 따라 귤피추출액의 L$^{*}$ 값과 a$^{*}$ 값은 증가하였으며, b$^{*}$ 값은 감소하였다. 전자공여능, tyrosinase 저해효과, nitrite 소거능은 감마선 조사에 의해 영향을 받지 않았으나 저장기간동안 이러한 생리활성이 감소함을 확인하였다. 또한 추출방법(열수 vs 정치)에 따른 귤피 추출물의 생리활성의 차이는 나타나지 않았으며 감마선 조사는 천연물 추출물의 생리활성에 영향을 주지 않음을 확인하였다. 그러므로 경제적인 추출방법을 선택한다면 감귤가공후 폐자원인 귤피를 다양한 용도의 기능성 소재로 활용할 수 있다고 판단된다.

호두 첨가에 따른 청국장의 이화학적 특성 및 항산화능 변화 (Changes in the Physicochemical Characteristics and the Antioxidative Activity of Cheonggukjang by Addition of Walnut)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the changes in the physicochemical characteristics and antioxidant activity of cheonggukjang with the addition of walnuts. The pH of cheonggukjang did not change significantly with the addition of walnut. But the water content decreased significantly. Walnut addition to the soybean was expected to have a positive effect because the number of Bacillus subtilis was not reduced. The viscous substance content was significantly decreased when more than 20% of walnut was added to cheonggukjang. The addition of walnut made the color darker. The flavonoid and polyphenol content was sharply increased in proportion to the walnut addition and the DPPH radical scavenging activity of cheonggukjang also increased. Altogether, it was found that the addition of walnut had a positive influence on the cheonggukjang by increasing the antioxidant activity.

Features and Functions of Purple Pigment Compound in Halophytic Plant Suaeda japonica : Antioxidant/Anticancer Activities and Osmolyte Function in Halotolerance

  • Suaeda japonica is a halophytic plant that lives in mudflat at intertidal zone of western and southern coastal areas of Korea. The seawater-living plants showed a purple color during their whole life. In contrast, freshwater-living plants displayed a green color in leaves. When seawater-living plants were transferred to potting soil, the purple color was gradually changed to green in the leaves. The extracted purple pigment compound exhibited typical characteristics of betacyanin that were represented by water solubility, pH- and temperature-dependent color changes, sensitivity to light, UV-Vis spectra, and gel electrophoretic migration pattern. The LC-MS analysis of the extracted pigment compound showed the presence of two major protonated molecular ions ($[M+H]^+$) at m/z 651.1 and m/z 827.1. Antioxidant activity of the pigment compound was determined using stable free radical DPPH assay. It was found to have an antioxidant activity that is linearly increased in proportion to the reaction time for up to 30 min, and the activity was comparable to that of control BHA at 9.0 mg/ml. The anticancer activity against several tumor cell lines was also examined following the MTT assay. The significant growth inhibitory effect was observed on two tumor cell lines, SW-156 (human kidney carcinoma) and HEC-1B (human endometrial adenocarcinoma). Probably, the pigment compound may function as an osmolyte to uphold halotolerant physiological processes in saline environment.
