A Study on the Temperature Characteristics and Flame Stabilization of Surface Combustor using the Metal Fiber (메탈화이버를 이용한 표면연소기의 화염안정화 및 온도특성에 관한 연구)

  • By changing the excess air ratio which affects strongly to the combustion characteristics, the flame stability range in the metal fiber burner were found and the range of the blue flame male and radiant mode were distinguished by direct photography. The results in our experiments for the flame stability zone were from a=1.4($354 KW/m^2$) to a=2.06($240 KW/m^2$), and then the blue flame mode zone was form a=1.87($266 KW/m^2$) to a=2.06($240 KW/m^2$) and the radiant mode one was form a=1.4($354 KW/m^2$) to a =1.78($278 KW/m^2$). And the flame was not fired when a is less than the lean condition a=2.45($202 KW/m^2$).

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the combustion characteristics of the flat burner using metal fiber. By changing the excess air ratio which affects strongly to the combustion characteristics, the flame stability range in the metal fiber were found and the range of the blue flame mode and radiant mode were distinguished and $NOx\;and\;O_{2}$ distributions in combustor were measured at two conditions which represents the blue flame mode and radiant mode.

  • In this paper, we describe a sensor module that monitors fire environment by analyzing fire characteristics. We analyzed the smoke characteristics of indoor fire. Six different environments were defined according to the type of smoke and the flame, and the sensors available for each environment were combined. Based on this analysis, the sensors were selected from the perspective of firefighter. The sensor module consists of an RGB camera, an infrared camera and a radar. It is designed with minimum weight to fit on the robot. the enclosure of sensor is designed to protect against the radiant heat of the fire scene. We propose a single camera mode, thermal stereo mode, data fusion mode, and radar mode that can be used depending on the fire scene. Thermal stereo was effectively refined using an image segmentation algorithm, SLIC (Simple Linear Iterative Clustering). In order to reproduce the fire scene, three fire test environments were built and each sensor was verified.
