A Study on the RTLS Performance Improvement Using WLAN RSSI Level Filtering (무선랜 RSSI 신호의 필터링을 통한 RTLS의 성능 개선에 관한 연구)

  • RFID 기술은 각 사물에 전자태그를 부착하고, 사물의 고유 ID를 무선으로 인식하여, 해당 정보를 수집, 저장, 추적함으로써 사물에 대한 측위, 원거리 관리 및 사물 간 정보교환 등의 서비스를 제공하는 기술이다. RFID의 응용 분야의 하나로 전자태그가 부착되어 있는 대상의 위치를 실시간으로 파악하고 확인할 수 있는 RTLS(Real Time Locating Systems) 기술이 새로이 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 AP의 RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication)를 이용해 데이터의 정확도를 위해 약 30회의 위치 추정을 통한 위치 추정의 정확도를 알아보고 스무딩을 통한 측정 거리의 오차를 확인했다. AP의 RSSI를 통한 위치추정은 AP가 설치된 건물내의 실내환경에서 이루어졌으며, 비교적 정확한 약 3m의 오차를 보였고, 필터링을 통한 교통 추정값은 그보다 약 0.5~1m 향상된 성능을 보였다.

Channel Characteristic and Link Quality Assessment of ZigBee Under Wi-Fi Interference (Wi-Fi 간섭 환경에서 ZigBee 소자의 채널 특성 및 링크 품질 평가)

  • In this paper, we have measured PRR, RSSI and LQI of ZigBee channels under Wi-Fi environment and have assessed channel characteristic and link quality. To confirm any relationship among RSSI, LQI values and PRR under Wi-Fi interference in overlapping and non-overlapping channels of Wi-Fi and ZigBee, the experiments were performed without Wi-Fi, with Wi-Fi and file download through Wi-Fi. Under Wi-Fi interference, We perfomed experiments to ensure channel characteristics and link quality by fixing Wi-Fi and ZigBee receiver and varying the distance between ZigBee receiver and transmitter. ZigBee transmitter sends packet of 256 bits every second to ZigBee receiver. PRR was measured from ZigBee with variance of distance between fixed Wi-Fi and ZigBee. RSSI, LQI, PRR were measured from ZigBee with fixed Wi-Fi, fixed ZigBee receiver and variance of distance of ZigBee transmitter. As a result, we confirmed decrease of PRR under Wi-Fi interference but RSSI, LQI values similar regardless of overlapped or non-overlapped channel and Wi-Fi interference. Therefore, PRR should be used for interference detection in ZigBee communication under Wi-Fi environment but RSSI and LQI are not appreciate.

  • 센서 네트워크는 환경 정보를 이용하여 재난방제, 스마트홈, 환경감시 등의 다양한 서비스를 제공할 수 있으며, 특히 위치인식 기반 서비스에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 위치인식을 하기 위해 기본적이고 가장 중요한 기술은 센서와 사물 사이의 거리를 측정하는 것이다. 초음파와 RSSI, GPS 등 위치인식을 위해 거리를 측정하는 방식은 여러 가지가 있다. 본 논문에서는 소리와 RF신호를 이용하여 거리를 측정하는 시스템을 구현하고 평가한다.

  • A study on Ontology-based indoor positioning techniques using BLE Beacon. Recently BLE beacon has been widely used as a technique for measuring the indoor location. But it requires a filtering technique for the measurement of the correct position, and uses the most fixed beacon. It is not accurate that calculates the position information through the identification of the beacon signal. Therefore, filtering is important. So it takes a lot of time, position measurement and filtering. Thus, we is to measure the exact position at the indoor using a mobile beacon. The measured beacon signal is composed of an ontology for reuse in the same pattern. RSSI is measured the receiver is the distance of the beacon. And this value configure the location ontology to be normalized by the relationship analysis between the values. The ontology is a method for calculating the position information of the moving beacon. It may be detected fast and accurate indoor position information.

  • Recently, There is increasing interest in the IoT(Internet of Thing) as intelligent information service that enables communication between people and things based on internet. In particular the demand for indoor location-based services with the development of smart devices is rapidly increasing. Using the RSSI signal that is provide to the BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy) for Indoor location information measurement calculates distance information between beacon and mobile terminal. However, simply using the RSSI signal to the distance measurement has a difficult to get the indoor location information due to the influence of the signal interference and the weather. In this paper, by performing an operation for obtaining a reliable distance information from the signal information of iBeacon we propose a system for providing reliable indoor location.

  • 안드로이드 블루투스를 이용한 앱으로, 사용자가 도난방지 시스템을 사용하여 개인 소지품에 모듈을 부착하여 도난방지를 할 수 있는 시스템이다. 폰과 모듈간의 블루투스 수신 감도(RSSI)를 체크하여 수신 거리를 측정하게 되고, 그 거리가 10m이상 떨어지게되면 사용자에게 도난 알림을 알려준다. 또한, 사용자에게 전화가 온 것을 모듈 자체에서 수신하여 알려주는 핸즈프리 기능도 갖췄다. 모듈은 ATMEGA128(MCU), FB155BC(블루투스 모듈), 부저, 진동등의 부품을 조립하여 제작하였다.

  • In case Wi-Fi network based First responder's position tracking system is used, range measurement must be generated from RSSI finger print database. However, it is impossible to build up finger print database and to perform rescue operation at same time in the scene of rescue. In this paper, improvised Wi-Fi network without finger print database and pedestrian dead reckoning based first responders tracking system is proposed.

  • 4S (Ship to Ship, Ship to Shore) communication is the key to strategic development of e-navigation, a core element of IT vessel convergence. 4S communication is intended to integrate and standardize various communication infrastructures on land and communication equipment complying with communication equipment equipped in ships. This paper aims to apply the Korean technology IEEE 802.16e adopted as an international standard, to replace and compensate for existing vessel communication media such as low speed HF/MF/VHF to the ocean environment. To this end, various experimental conditions between the coast station where a relay station was installed and related equipment equipped on a ship are set. Communication signals were monitored and the RSSI and CINR were measured. Based on experimental analysis and results, various challenges and solutions which may occur in ocean environment were sought, and communication availability was analyzed through transmission data throughput, at the maximum effective distance range of the signal. It was proven that high speed multimedia data could be exchanged for up to 20 km even among 80km kph ships moving around near the sea, ensuring that this technology could be applied to the ocean environment.

  • USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) 환경은 언제, 어디서나 정보를 이용할 수 있게 한다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 환경은 자유로운 커뮤니케이션을 보다 쉽게 제공할 수 있으며, 특히 u-교통 환경을 구축하는데 기본적인 요소기술이 된다. 또한 u-교통 환경을 구축하기 위해서는 차량의 위치를 보다 정확히 인식할 수 있는 기술이 요구된다. 위치측정은 센서노드의 전파를 이용하거나 거리를 측정할 수 있는 센서를 활용하여 목표물의 위치를 계산한다. 본 논문은 센서노드의 RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) 신호 값을 분류하고 주변노드의 위치와 통신범위 및 세기정보를 최대한 활용하여 이동차량을 보다 정확하게 추적할 수 있는 위치추적기법을 제시한다. 일부 시뮬레이션 결과, 제안된 기법이 기존 위치추적 알고리즘 보다 u-교통 환경에서 위치추적의 정확도가 우수함을 증명하였다.
