  • 본 PowerMeter-Modem은 시스템 서버의 전단 통신 장치부의 무선모뎀과 IS-95B 망을 통해 서킷 접속을 하며 검침수행 관련정보를 수신하여 전자식 전력량계와 RS232 시리얼통신을 이용하여 전자식 전력량계의 전력량의 데이터를 취득 후 가공하여 서킷 방식이나 TCP/IP 프로토콜을 이용 패킷형태로 검침데이타를 IS-95B 망과 시스템간 프로토콜 변환장치를 거쳐 전단 통신 처리장치로 송출하는 역할을 한다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to monitor ECU's self-diagnostic signal without wire. In order to measure the ECU's self-diagnostic signal, the interfaced circuit is developed to communicate ECU with a designed display terminal according to the ISO, SAE regulation of communication protocol standard. An 80C196KC processor is used for communicating ECU's self-diagnostic signal and communication data are sent to PDA monitoring system that is based on the Windows CE.   • GRAFCET is the program language for a sequential control and utilized in the description of sequence of a process. This study is to implement GRAFCET editor and compiler for personnel computer. The GRAFCET editor module is developed to use as menu-driven method based on the graphic screen and the graphic symbol. So, users can use it interactively. The GRAFCET compiler module analyzes the already drawed GRAFCET diagram, then translates it to Z80 assembly code. After generating Z80 machine code from assembly code, we can send the outputed machine code file to Z80 one-board computer through RS232C. We have developed the GRAFCET programming tool to utilize under IBM PC/AT with the VGA monitor, and it may be contribute to low cost automation system.

  • A remote data communication system for monitoring of NC machine fault diagnosis and status is developed. This system communicates with host PC by using dial-up communication method on PSTN. The developed system consists of (1)remote communication module among NC's and host PC using PSTN, (2) 8 channels analog data sensing module, (3) digital I/O module for control of NC machine, (4) communication module between NC machine and remote data communication system using RS-232c, and (5) Software man-machine interface. This system may be applied for remote sensing of the status in Fms. To show the veridity of the developed system, several examples are illustrated.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish an effective inspection system by using OMM(ON-Machine Measurement) system. This allows us to reduce the manufacturing lead time by separating the inspection process from manufacturing system. As a first step, the inspection process planning is accomplished by determining the number of measuring points, their locations, measuring path and their sequence. Subsequently, we generate measuring G-codes to be transferred to the machining center through RS232C, and then the inspection process will be performed for each shape. Analysing obtained measuring data, the dimensional tolerance will be validated.

  • Remote fault diagnosis and maintenance system using general telecommunication network is necessary for an effective fault diagnosis and higher productivity of NC machine tools. In order to monitor machine tool condition and diagnose alarm states due to electrical and mechanical faults, a remote data communication system for monitoring of NC machine fault diagnosis and status is developed. The developed system consists of (1) remote communication module among NC's and host PC using PSTN. (2) 8 channels analog data sensing module, (3) digital I/O module for control or NC machine, (4) communication module between NC machine and remote data communication system via RS-232C, and (5) software man-machine interface. Diagnostic monitoring results generated through a successive type inference engine are displayed in user-friendly graphics. The validity and reliability of the developed system is verified to be a powerful commercial version on a vertical machining center through a series of experiments.

  • This paper presents an architecture of UPnP Bridge that allows controlling Non-iP devices from UPnP control point, without modification to Non-IP device or UPnP control point implementations. UPnP devices must provide SSDP discovery, SOAP control and GENA event processes. To represent Non-IP devices to UPnP devices, UPnP Bridge provides these functionalities on behalf of Non-IP devices. We provides two method to interoperability between UPnP and Non-IP devices, Message Field Description, Non-UPnP Proxy devices. And solution to integrate heterogeneous networking standards(RS232C, CAN, IEEE1394, USB) is provided.

  • This paper present an intelligent microcontroller based chess playing robot which can play a board game against opponent and calculate its moves in a non-idealized environment. In this work, for the sake of simplicity task is accomplished by using Cartesian coordinate system. Chess playing system has been designed in such a way that it provides an interface between user and robot to control chess movements using RS232. Various algorithms are implemented for interfacing hardware in C++ language. Our main goal is to design a cost effective and highly accurate robot system that consumes minimal power to complete its task.

  • 본 논문에서는 MPC8260 프로세서를 활용한 임베디드 시스템을 활용하여 교육용 라우터 개발을 수행하였다. 개발환경으로는 다양한 RTOS중 토네이도 2.0.2를 활용한 가장 안전한 vxworks를 사용하였다. 이때 호스트 컴퓨터를 서버로, MPC8260 프로세서를 활용한 임베디드 시스템을 클라이언트로 사용하여 서버/클라이언트간에는 RS-232-C로는 MPC8260 프로세서가 탑재된 보드의 상태 점검용으로 활용되고, 이더넷으로는 서버에서 클라이언트로 tfp로 컴파일된 소스의 다운로딩 및 이더넷 상의 패킷 송, 수신시 기능 점검을 위해서 사용되었다.
