  • 식물의 토양전염병을 유발하는 Pythium sp. 및 Rhizoctonia sp.에 대한 길항력과 생장속도를 고려한 RPI (relative performance indices) 기법을 이용하여 100 여개 후보균 중 #19, #42 등 길항균을 선정하였다. 후보균들은 일반적으로 Pythium sp.보다 Rhizoctonia sp.에 대한 길항력이 우수하였고 Bacillus sp.의 배양 상등액은 항진균활성과 blood agar에서 용혈현상을 보여 상등액으로부터 항균물질인 lipopeptide 계열물질을 분리하였다.

  • 식물의 토양전염병을 유발하는 P. aphanidermatum 및 R. solani에 대한 길항력, 생장속도 및 표면장력 감소를 고려한 RPI (relative performance indices) 기법을 이용하여 90 여개 후보균 중 #16 길항균을 선정하였다. 선정된 Bacillus sp. #16은 16S rRNA 서열을 분석한 후 GenBank에서 비교한 결과 B. subtilis DSM10과 99% 유사성을 보였다. 또한 pot test 결과 오이 모잘록병에 대해 우수한 방제가를 보였다.

  • This paper presents the reasonable design parameters of a SRM for hybrid electric vehicle driving. For the design of SRM, the initial model is designed using the equivalent magnetic circuit method. In order to optimize the SRM for HEV. The initial model is redesigned by FEM with the variation of the stock length and turns of winding. This paper shows that a flat-topped current of a phase can be made from a change of the stack length and the number of turns for high efficiency, high average torque and a lower torque ripple. The change of current falling time as a variation of turn-off angle was shown by FEA. The iron loss and copper loss were described. The torque of the redesigned motor is suitable for low and high speed ranges to drive a HEV that was verified by the speed-torque curve.

  • As the level of maunfacturing system automation increases, the issues of modeling and simulation of AMS(Automated Manufacturing System) are becoming more important. Proposed in this paper is the JR-Net(Job Resource relation-Net) modeling framework which naturally mimics the process of designing an AMS by FA(Factory Automation) engineers. Its main purpose is to provide a modeling tool which facilitate modeling work of AMS for FA engineers unfamiliar with simulation modeling. The proposed modeling scheme is based on the extensive observation that typical AMSs are built from the set of 'standard' components(or catalog items). As an application of the proposed model, two real examples of FMS('G7'FMS model plant, RPI FMS) are modeled by JR-Net, and in case of FMS model plant, a simulation program development procedure using JR-Net modeling results is explained. Finally, simulation result of FMS model plant is analyzed.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 파괴 또는 비파괴 측정기와는 차별화된 사과의 당도를 간편하게 측정하는 방법을 탐구하고자 하였다. 탐구한 결과, 카메라를 이용해 촬영된 사과의 이미지를 동해 당도 측정이 가능함을 밝혀냈다. 위 사실을 기반으로 라즈베리 파이의 카메라 모듈, 컨베이어 벨트를 결합하여 자동화된 사과 당도 측정기 제작하였다. 컴퓨터 기능을 포함하여 다양한 부가 기능을 가진 라즈베리 파이의 특성상 단순한 당도 측정 기능 외에도 공공 데이터를 활용한 경락 가격, 날씨 정보, 재배 솔루션 제공 등의 서비스 제공이 가능하며 이러한 서비스들은 사과 재배에 많은 기여를 할 것이다. 본 연구는 해당 시스템을 어떻게 구현하고 사용할 수 있는지 제시되어있다.

잔디 갈색퍼짐병(Large patch)의 생물학적 방제를 위한 길항 미생물의 선발과 효력 검정 (Efficacy of Antagonistic Bacteria for Biological Control of Rhizoctonia Blight (Large patch) on Zoysiagrass)

  • Rhizoctonia solani AG2-2에 의해 발생되는 잔디 갈색퍼짐병(large patch)은 한국잔디로 식재된 골프장 페어웨이에서 문제가 되는 대표적 병해이다. 본 연구에서는 잔디 갈색퍼짐병의 생물학적 방제법에 이용할 수 있는 길항 미생물을 R. solani AG2-2에 대한 항균활성과 균사생장 억제율 등을 기준으로 1차 선발하였고, 선발된 길항미생물에 대해 폿트 수준의 생물검정실험을 실시하였다. 두 실험을 통해 선발된 길항미생물 중에서 상대적 길항효과 지수(RPI) 값을 기준으로 잔디 갈색퍼짐병에 대해 가장 우수한 것으로 최종 선발된 길항미생물 CJ-9는 동정한 결과 Bacillus subtilis로 밝혀져, B. subtilis CJ-9이라 명명하였다. B. subtilis CJ-9는 합성농약에 대한 내성 실험을 통해 현장에 적용시 화학 농약과의 혼용이 가능함을 밝혔다. 골프장에서 야외 포장시험을 실시한 결과, 실험 기간동안 합성농약에 의한 관행처리구에서 잔디 갈색퍼짐병이 2차례 발병된 것과 비교하여 B. subtilis CJ-9를 처리한 시험구에서는 전혀 발생하지 않아 방제 효과가 인정되었다. 선택배지를 이용한 병원균 밀도 조사를 통하여 B. subtilis CJ-9 처리가 잔디 갈색퍼짐병을 일으키는 병원균의 밀도를 감소시키는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서 B. subtilis CJ-9이 잔디 갈색퍼짐병 방제를 위해 합성농약을 대체할 수 있는 친환경적인 방제방법이 될 수 있음을 입증하였다.

넙치(Paralichthys olivaceus) 알로부터 등전점 용해/침전공정에 의해 회수한 분리단백질의 식품특성 (Food Characteristics of Protein Isolates Recovered from Olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus Roe by Isoelectric Solubilization and Precipitation Process)

  • Four roe protein isolates (RPIs) from olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus roes (OFR) were recovered by isoelectric solubilization (pH 11 and 12) and precipitation (pH 4.5 and 5.5) and investigated for their food characteristics. RPIs contained 4.5-9.6% moisture, 64.1-69.5% protein, 16.1-19.8% lipid, and 1.0-3.9% ash. The protein yields of RPIs ranged from 50.1 to 56.8%, which was significantly different depending on the recovery conditions. A difference was observed in the SDS-PAGE protein band (25-100 kDa) between the alkaline solubilization at pH 11 (RPI-1 and 2) and pH 12 (RPI-3 and 4). The major amino acids of RPIs were Leu, Lys, Asp, Glu and Ala and major mineral components were sulfur, sodium, phosphorus, and magnesium, which were significantly different from OFR (P<0.05). Additionally, the lead and cadmium content was below the chemical hazard standard of the Korean food standards code. The Hunter color and whiteness of RPIs also showed significant differences according to the treatment conditions of the ISP process (P<0.05). This suggests that protein isolates recovered from olive flounder roes have high potential as nutritional supplements.

단순화된 피동 원자로건물 냉각계통 내 자연순환에 관한 수치적 연구 (Numerical Investigation on Natural Circulation in a Simplified Passive Containment Cooling System)

  • The flow of cooling water in a passive containment cooling system (PCCS), used to remove heat released in design basis accidents from a concrete containment of light water nuclear power plant, was conducted in order to investigate the thermo-fluid equilibrium among many parallel tubes of PCCS. Numerical simulations of the subcooled boiling flow within a coolant loop of a PCCS, which will be installed in innovative pressurized-water reactor (PWR), were conducted using the commercially available computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software ANSYS-CFX. Shear stress transport (SST) and the RPI model were used for turbulence closure and subcooled flow boiling, respectively. As the first step, the simplified geometry of PCCS with 36 tubes was modeled in order to reduce computational resource. Even and uneven thermal loading conditions were applied at the outer walls of parallel tubes for the simulation of the coolant flow in the PCCS at the initial phase of accident. It was observed that the natural circulation maintained in single-phase for all even and uneven thermal loading cases. For uneven thermal loading cases, coolant velocity in each tube were increased according to the applied heat flux. However, the flows were mixed well in the header and natural circulation of the whole cooling loop was not affected by uneven thermal loading significantly.

Oomycetes RXLR Effectors Function as Both Activator and Suppressor of Plant Immunity

  • Plant pathogenic oomycetes, such as Phytophthora spp., are the causal agent of the most devastating plant diseases. During infection, these pathogens accomplish parasitic colonization of plants by modulating host defenses through an array of disease effector proteins. These effectors are classified in two classes based on their target sites in the host plant. Apoplastic effectors are secreted into the plant extracellular space, and cytoplasmic effectors are translocated inside the plant cell, through the haustoria that enter inside living host cell. Recent characterization of some oomycete Avr genes showed that they encode effector protein with general modular structure including N-terminal conserved RXLR-DEER motif. More detailed evidences suggest that these AVR effectors are secreted by the pathogenic oomycetes and then translocated into the host plant cell during infection. Recent findings indicated that one of the P. infestans effector, Avrblb2, specifically induces hypersensitive response (HR) in the presence of Solanum bulbocastanum late blight resistance genes Rpi-blb2. On the other hand, another secreted RXLR protein PexRD8 originated from P. infestans suppressed the HCD triggered by the elicitin INF1. In this review, we described recent progress in characterized RXLR effectors in Phytophthora spp. and their dual functions as modulators of host plant immunity.
