Air cleaners in all of the automotive engines have been used for decades. In the early 1920's the oil bath type was the popular shape of air cleaners. The air cleaners of the oil wetted bath type were introduced in 1940's. The shape of the dry pleated paper type media was introduced in the 1950's. This trend still continues with new and innovative media being introduced. Engine air cleaners should have effectively removed and reduced harmful contaminants being ingested into engines. This studies show that both, the ingested contaminant size and concentration need to be controlled. This paper com pare and analyze the characteristics over the economics, engine performances and reduction of noises of power-plus air filters with wet paper which were sticked to heavy duty diesel engine.

Korea has introduced the levy-grand system in the vocational learning finance. The standard unit price system of training cost was utilized in the distribution of training budget and the reimbursement system including total or partial training cost return has been operated in the corporate training after completing the learning course particularly. The standard unit price was calculated in the base of analyzing on supporting budget by the government per training institutions and corporate payment decision to learning institutions. The proposing standard unit price system of training cost was analyzed in the current standard price unit of training cost and then an improvement policy and the implication are derived from it. At the result of this study, the current government supporting level to e-learning and postal distance learning indicates good status.

Consumers differ with respect to the level of green attitudes and green purchase behavious and different consumer would have different perceptions on green market environment. This study attempted to explain how consumers perceive green market environment differently across different consumer groups in attitude-behaviour dimension in green consumption. After identifying the four consumer groups based on their attitude toward green purchase and green purchase behaviours, a multinomial logistic analysis and a stepwise discriminant analysis were conducted. This study found that reliability in green market was the most critical factor that contributes to enlarge positive green consumers. Also, the role of reference persons and adequate price of green products were also found to be important to stimulate green buying. By understanding the different role of those factors in each group of consumers, this study provided group-specific implications to expand green consumers.

This study was performed to investigate the effects of pine pollen and horseradish, which were known as antimicrobial materials, on the fermentation of Kimchi. The physicochemical and microbial changes of Kimchi were investigated during period 30-days at $10^{\circ}C$. Even though Kimchi added pine pollen or horseradish powder were sustained the higher pH and lower acidity after 10 days, it delayed only 1∼2 more days to reach optimal value of Kimchi fermentation in experimental groups than control. The horseradish powder showed the antimicrobial effect of Kimchi at initial stage, but thereafter that effect of pine pollen or horseradish were not significant. Therefore the addition of pine pollen or horseradish powder to Kimchi is not sufficiently effective for extension of shelf-life of Kimchi.

This study investigated the behaviors of the gabled hyperbolic paraboloid shell structure subjected to differential settlement and the horizontal displacement due to the elongation of tie rod/beam on supports. Two types of shell structure with different roof slopes are used in study; conventional type which has perimeter beams around the shell panel, and simple type which removes the edge beams along the slab edge line. The effect of the removal of edge beam under vertical or horizontal displacement on supports, and the roof slope was compared using the finite element analysis.

A few of new and large cities have been developed and developing at some areas surrounding Seoul, a capital city of Korea. Thus, commuters from new city to downtown are considerably increasing and the present network of road and railway will be short of transportation capacities. A special problem is that new cities are far from downtown than pre-existing new cities and the entering to downtown is required to a considerable time and cost. Therefore, a new conceptional transportation system has to be substitute with old-fashioned road and railway. This paper presents the feasibility of the deep & high-speed nonstop railway which is able to access to the downtown with ease and fast from new city. If the railway is located under deep position, indemnity cost of land will be notably down. If the railway runs with high speed and has a nonstop concept, the access time to downtown will be remarkably short.

The automotive industry faces many competitive challenges including weight and cost reduction to meet need for higher fuel economy. It is a trend that a lot of parts have been currently changed to an aluminum alloy from steel materials. It is required more precise analysis for practical load because of complexities and varieties of vehicle structure. In this study, the shape optimization using a FEA is performed to determine the design of the knuckle. The size optimization is carried out to find thickness while the stiffness constraints are satisfied. A commercial optimization software MSC/NASTRAN is utilized for the structural analysis and the optimization processes.

A selective enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the insecticide isofenphos was developed. Three different analogues (haptens) of isofenphos were synthesized and were coupled to carrier proteins through the pesticide thiophosphate group t o use as immunogens or coating antigens. Rabbits were immunized with one of the haptens coupled to BSA for production of polyclonal antibodies and the sera were screened against each of the other two haptens coupled to ovalbumin (OVA). Using the sera of highest specificity, an antigen-coated ELISA was developed, which showed an I50 of 96 ng/mL with the detection limit of 2 ng/mL. The antibodies showed negligible cross-reactivity with other organophosphorus pesticides and the phenol metabolite of isofenphos, which makes the developed assay suitable for the selective detection of isofenphos. An antibody-coated ELISA was also developed, which showed an I50 of 580 ng/mL with a detection limit of 70 ng/mL.

This study was conducted to obtain the basic breeding information of Colocasia esculenta Schott. Effect of supplemental plant growth regulators and genotype difference were investigated on dormant bud tissue for proliferation. The plant regeneration ratio, plant height and root length were the best upon mixed treatment of 0.8mg/L IAA and 2.0mg/L zeatin. Both leaf weight and root weight were heavy upon culture in a dark condition. The leaf and root weights were heaviest in 6Pie sucrose concentrations. In several collected area the heaviest one was Binnangxin and then in the order of Suwon, Wanju and Puan. Genotype differences of tuber diameter and tuber weight were found in Suwon. Tuber weight was found in the order of Suwon (862mg) >Wanju(723mg) >Puan(649mg) >Binnangxin (424mg).
