The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of varied resistance training intensities and rest intervals between training sets on integral electromyography (iEMG), repetition rate, and total work. All subjects, 14 college students, were tested one repetition maximum (1RM). Then, all subjects were weekly tested with 9 practice procedures, composed of diverse intensities (60, 75, 90% of 1RM) and rest intervals (1, 3, 5 min). As results show, to maintain the same load and target repetition maximum for an untrained person, muscular power training (90% of 1RM), muscular hypertrophy training (75% of 1RM), and muscular endurance training (60% of 1RM) should be applied with 5 min or longer rest interval periods for 3 training sets. In addition, 2 training sets with 3 min rest intervals and a set with an 1 min rest interval were capable by the subjects. Thus, at least 3 min or longer rest intervals should be applied to maintain multiple training sets. In case for muscular endurance training, which requires shorter rest intervals, the intensity of exercise should be adjusted to 60% of 1RM or less. In conclusion, depending on diverse purposes of resistance training such as improving muscular power, muscular hypertrophy, or muscular endurance, appropriate exercise intensity and rest intervals should be applied.

The purpose of this study was to test the safety of the heel rest which was made for reducing the automobile driver's muscle fatigue with automatic transmission. Sixty subjects participated in the test, including ten males and ten females in 30s, 40s, 50s, respectively. Simulator consisted of automobile cockpit, accelerator and brake pedal sensor, heel rest. and driving displays. 30 seconds were given to subjects to be accustomed to the simulator environment. They also had one pre-trial to use the brake pedal according to the experimental scenario. They were told to step on the brake pedal immediately as soon as the red light was on the display The reaction time representing the foot travel time between accelerator and brake pedal was measured with/without the heel rest. In results, there was no significant difference in reaction time between conditions with/without heel rest. The result indicated that the heel rest used in this study would be a safe accessory for drivers who need to reduce the fatigue of the muscle or joint during driving.

Purpose : We investigated the reproducibility of language lateralization by 4 different word generation paradigms or the rest contents in each paradigm using functional magnetic resonance imaging in normal volunteers Materials and Methods Nine normal volunteers with left-handedness (mean age: 25 yrs) were examined on a 1.57 MR unit using a single-shot gradient echo epibold sequence. Four different word generation paradigms of noun, verb, adjective and adverb were used in each normal volunteer for investigating language system. In each paradigm, two different rest contents consisted of only seeing the " +" symbol or reading the meaningless letters. Each task consisted of 96 phases including 3 activations and 6 rests of 2 different contents. Two activation maps in one task were obtained under two different rest contents using the correlation method. We evaluated the detection rates of Broca and Wernicke areas and the differences of language lateralization among four different word generation paradigms, or between the rest contents. Results : The detection rates of Broca and Wernicke areas were over 67 % in 4 different language paradigms and there was no significant difference of them among language paradigms, or between two different rest contents. Language dominances, in all 4 different language paradigms, were shown to be consistent in 66 %, but were contrary with language paradigms in some subjects. The rest contents made no significant effect on dominant language dominance determination, but the success rates of the dominant language dominances determined from 4 language paradigms were higher in reading the meaningless letter (100%, n=9) than in only seeing "+" on screen at the rest task (78%, n=7).
This study covers museum rest areas among the methods that reduce museum fatigue. The subjects of the study were Seoul branch of the representative National Museum of Contemporary Art and National Museum of Korea. These museums were compared and analyzed with The National Art Center of Tokyo and Tokyo National Museum. The first research step was the analysis of museums' floor plan, and the second step was the tracing survey of visitors' movement. The result of this study was as follows. The National Art Center of Tokyo and Tokyo National Museum had the rest space within the visitors' route along with good viewing areas. National Museum of Korea had poor viewing area even though there was the rest space withing the visitors' route. Lastly, Seoul branch of National Museum of Contemporary Art had the rest space out of visitors' route along with poor viewing areas. This study is meaningful in that it provided guidelines for museum space plan with visitors' route considered, so that their museum fatigue can be relieved along with the guideline that can be applied to space elements of rest space.

The present study proposes a new methodology for predicting the demand for truck rest areas beside national highways. Previous demand forecasting methods were reviewed first in order to complement them with additional items. The results of the study are as follows. In the demand forecasting process, the primary task is to divide parking demands of trucks into short-term parking and long-term parking. Since short-term and long-term parking vary in utilization, congestion, and turnover rate, different influence factors should be considered according to parking time. Furthermore, the demand characteristics of rest and convenience facilities need to be reflected as well, because they in turn affect the demand for truck rest areas. In sum, the demand forecasting process for destination-type truck rest areas on national highways requires more attention than that for truck rest areas on expressways, and possible influences of various factors should be examined in this process.

This study aims to identify the actual condition of local food stores that serve as a regional activation space within the highway rest area. It analyzes and examines user awareness, and presents desirable directions for the establishment of new local food stores and improvement of existing facilities. The research method was conducted as follows: the status of 226 rest areas were examined which were installed on national highways, location conditions and convenience facilities. Second, a physical survey was conducted on 116 local food stores(floor area, location) and a user awareness survey on 63 local food stores. The results of the analysis and review have been concluded as follows. First, it is necessary to consider the establishment of a local food store in order to promote the local community by using various cultural and environmental conditions in the highway rest area, and to secure a public space to promote exchanges with local residents and revitalize the local economy. Second, considering the continuous increase of highway users, location, and traffic conditions, diversification of convenience functions including local food stores should be considered even if it is a medium and small highway rest area. Third, the floor area of local food stores is generally planned within a range of $75m^2$ to $125m^2$, and its location should be integrated with the rest area as much as possible. Inevitably, when you need to construct separately at the exit or entrance, you need to consider a unique design that ensures accessibility and visibility.
To assess contribution of T1-201 rest-24 hour delay redistribution in detection of viable myocardium, we studied the predictive value of this redistribution in 17 patients who peformed rest-24 hour delay perfusion SPECT before bypass surgery. Regional wall motion was compared with gated SPECT in 10 patients and echocardiography in 7 patients before and after bypass surgery. Rest and 24 hour delayed uptakes were scored from 0 (normal perfusion) to 3 (defect). In rest SPECT, 56 segments showed perfusion decrease. Thirty four segments(61%) improved after surgery and were defined as viable Nineteen(34%) segments had more uptake of T1-201 at 24 hour delay, and the other 37 segments did not. In 81%(25/31) of segments with mildly decreased perfusion, wall motion after bypass surgery improved, 57% (8/14) of segments with severely decreased perfusion improved, and 9%(1/11) of segments with defects improved. In 14 among 19 segments which had more T1-201 uptakes at 24 hour delay, wall motion was improved(positive predictive value of redistribution: 74%). 20 among 37 segments which had persistent decreases in rest-24 hour redistribution improved and 17 did not(negative predictive value: 46%). Segments having severe perfusion decrease or defects showed improved wall motion after surgery in 64%(7/11), if it had redistribution at delay. Segments with either mildly decreased uptake in resting or rest-delayed redistribution showed improved wall motion in 76%(32/42). Among the 14 segments which showed improvement in wall motion, 10 had partial reversibility in stress-rest images and the other 4 had persistent perfusion defects in stress-rest images. These 4 segments were found viable only with rest-24 hour delayed perfusion SPECT. We concluded that rest T1-201 uptake or redistribution at 24 hour delay should be referred as an evidence to warrant postoperative improvement of abnormal wall motion and we could predict myocardial viability with preoperative rest-24 hour delay perfusion SPECT in the segments with rest perfusion decreases.
Objectives: This Study was designed to investigate the effect of Oxygen chamber to recover muscle fatigue. Methods: Twenty Subjects were divided into Oxygen Chamber Group (n=10) and Rest group (n=10). Subjects visited hospital two times, blood tests were performed 3 times for each visit. 1st blood test was performed in 4 hours hunger state. 2nd blood test was performed within 5 minutes after the 6 minutes bike exercise. 3rd blood test was performed after the 40 minutes Oxygen treatment or 40 minutes rest in bed. Blood test items were Lactate, Glucose, Lactate Dehydrogenase, Creatine Kinase, Free Fatty Acid. 2nd visit was applied 1st visit process, But Oxygen Chamber group was crossed over to Rest Group, Rest Group was crossed over to Oxygen Chamber group. The Blood test result was analyzed with paired T-test using SPSS for Windows version 21. Results: The reduction of Lactate in Oxygen Chamber Group (6.86±2.07 mmol/ℓ) was higher than Rest group (6.57±2.33 mmol/ℓ), but it was not statically significant (p=0.68). The reduction of Glucose in Oxygen Chamber Group (6.85±12.14 mg/dl) was lower than Rest group (7.60±9.83 mg/dl), but it was not statically significant (p=0.83). The reduction of Lactate Dehydrogenase in Oxygen Chamber Group (16.10±14.91 mmol/ℓ) was lower than Rest group (19.75±12.46 mg/dl), but it was not statically significant (p=0.41). The reduction of Creatine Kinase in Oxygen Chamber Group (13.40±5.69 U/ℓ) was lower than Rest group (15.25±8.01 U/ℓ), but it was not statically significant (p=0.41). The reduction of Free Fatty Acid in Oxygen Chamber Group (285.50±174.13 uEq/ℓ) was higher than Rest group (196.15±131.58 uEq/ℓ), but it was not statically significant (p=0.07). Conclusions: This study showed Oxygen chamber therapy could be effective to recover muscle fatigue.
King Muryeong reungeseo Foot-rest on the subject of the king excavated a USB memory design. Foot-rest of the form and the meaning of patterns were expressed on a USB memory. Minds of ordinary people in these times communicator acts as an intermediary in the sky to give a sense of the king, such as Foot-rest patterns carved on the engraved turtle. Closely related to modern life, as cultural products associated with the computer by connecting supplies of products for some tourists, not only about reaching the wider public should focus on development. Meanwhile, the USB memory could not be seen in the case of natural wood material by using the age and the individual tastes of consumers represents USB memory into the merit of portability, necklaces pendants items for restoration, phone strap, key chain, etc. By combining the functionality increases. Meanwhile, on the basis of a practical item, the largest issue was the consumption of cultural products by maximizing the economic benefit of the community and at the same time a symbol of cultural heritage items have been transformed into the effectiveness of the national image enhancement is expected to be achieved.
Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effects of bed side exercising on back pain and bleeding during absolute bed rest in patients who had received transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE). Methods: A nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was used. A total 46 patients were sampled from a gastrointestinal unit of a urban general hospital in Seoul. The control group received 8 hours of bed rest and conservative care. The experimental group received 8 hours of bed rest and bed side exercising every one hour from the time having absolute bed rest for 3 hours after TACE. Results: The experimental group with bed side exercising experienced significantly less back pain compared to the control group. There was no significant difference in the incidence of bleeding complications between two groups. Conclusion: The results indicate that a bed side exercising is associated with a reduction of back pain and with no increased risk of bleeding complications in patients after TACE.
