A Design and Implementation of Floor Detection Application Using RC Car Simulator (RC카 시뮬레이터를 이용한 바닥 탐지 응용 설계 및 구현)

  • Costs invested in road maintenance and road development are on the rise. However, due to accidents such as portholes and ground subsidence, the risks to the drivers' safety and the material damage caused by accidents are also increasing. Following this trend, we have developed a system that determines road damage, according to the magnitude of vibration generated without directly intervening the driver when driving. In this paper, we implemented the system using a remote control car (RC car) simulator due to the limitation of the environment in which the actual vehicle is not available in the process of developing the system. In addition, we attached a vibration sensor and GPS sensor to the body of the RC car simulator to measure the vibration value and location information generated by the movement of the vehicle in real-time while driving, and transmitting the corresponding data to the server. In this way, we implemented a system that allows external users to check the damage of roads and the maintenance of the repaired roads based on data more easily than the existing systems. By using this system, we can perform early prediction of road breakage and pattern prediction based on the data. Further, for the RC car simulator, commercialization will be possible by combining it with business in other fields that require flatness.

  • This paper introduces the parking guide service developed to address the inconvenience of parking in areas where demand for parking spaces is high, such as busy streets and tourist attractions. Due to difficulties in measuring and developing the actual parking lot while driving the car, we created a temporary parking lot and created Arduino RC Car to replace the actual car. Video processing based on Open CV allows users to identify the entire parking lot, parking space, and completed parking space, and track moving cars, and this information has been developed to enable users to see through the application. The application allows the user to book the desired parking space and introduce a way-finding algorithm to guide them through the optimal path to the selected parking compartment.

  • 최근 성인들을 위한 '키덜트 장난감'의 관심도가 증가하고 있다. 그중 높은 매출을 보이는 RC 카와 VR 의 콘텐츠 부족 및 대중화 문제를 해결하면 시장규모를 성장시킬 수 있다고 판단한다. 본 논문은 차별화된 RC 카 레이싱 게임 개발을 목표로 한다. 스마트폰용 VR 기기를 착용해 영상을 보며 컨트롤러로 RC 카를 조종한다. 또한 실시간 객체 검출이 가능한 YOLOv5 를 활용해 표지판 인식 및 바운딩 박스, 표지판 라벨, 라벨 음성 출력 기능과 오픈 소스 기반 실시간 컴퓨터 비전인 OpenCV 기반 알고리즘을 활용하여 차선을 인식해 이를 기반으로 영상 처리를 거쳐 가상 차선 및 가상 트랙을 출력한다. 결론적으로 RC 카와 VR 로 구현하여 이를 통해 부족한 VR 컨텐츠를 추가하고 접근성을 강화한다.

  • In this paper, we describe a robust image processing algorithm to recognize the road lane in real-time. For the real-time processing, a detection area is decided by a lane segment of a previous frame and edges are detected on the basis of the lane width. For the robust driving, the global threshold with the Otsu algorithm is used to get a binary image in a frame. Therefore, reliable edges are obtained from the algorithms suggested in this paper in a short time. Lastly, the lane segment is found by hough transform. We made a RC(Radio Control) car equipped with a vision system and verified these algorithms using the RC Car.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this experiment is to find out the effectiveness which exert influence on cognitive skills by using the Driver Rehabilitation program for senior citizens who are over 65 years old and live in Busan. Method : From July first, 2014 to August 28th, 2014, we researched the 60 elderly people who are over 65 and go to community relief center which is in Busan. - 30 are experimental group and the other is control group. In the experimental group, we used Nintendo wii's driving simulation program and RC Car driving program in the model road. For estimation, we used MVPT-3(Motor-Free Visual Perception Test-3), Trail Making Test - 1, Trail making Test - 2 and LOTCA(Loewenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment). Result : Nintendo wii's driving simulation program and RC Car driving program in model road results efficient visual perception ability. This programs results effectively in visual perception ability and space perception ability. This programs results effectively in motor apraxia ability. This programs results effectively in control ability for visual perception. This programs results effectively in thinking operation. Conclusion : Nintendo Wii's driving simulation program and RC Car driving program in model road positively influence improving for visual perceptual ability and cognitive function of elderly people. Also it is considered as being more efficient for improving visual perceptual ability and cognitive function to implement basic rehabilitation training with driving rehabilitation program than basic training itself.

  • When the bluetooth technology of smartphone is applied to a remote control system, communication errors caused by wave attenuation and interference results in the shortening of communication distance, loss of the target device control and malfunctioning. In this study, we propose a method to adopt a retransmission persistence controlled S/W ARQ in bluetooth communication to minimize the effect of the communication failure and to detect and handle the state where the target device gets lost control. We implemented a motor-driven RC car equpped with a bluetooth communication module and a steering application program on smartphone to test the proposed method. The experiments are conducted in three communication environments, and have resulted in the increase of the communication distance by at least 30% when S/W ARQ is applied. Moreover, when the communication was disrupted due to environmental disturbances, the S/W ARQ based system stopped immediately any undergoing operations to avoid possible malfunction.

  • 최근 성인들 중에서도 취미로 가지고 노는 장난감 즉 '키덜트 장난감'의 관심도가 증가하는 추세이다. 그 중에서도 높은 매출 상승세를 보이는 RC카와 VR은 지속적으로 시장규모를 성장시키기 위해서 추가적인 콘텐츠가 필요하다고 판단된다. 그러므로 본 프로젝트는 두 아이템을 융합하여 차별적 콘텐츠가 있는 RC카 개발을 목표로 한다. VR기기 영상을 보면서 컨트롤러로 RC카를 조종하는 구성이며, 특징적인 콘텐츠로는 OpenCV 컴퓨터비전 알고리즘을 활용하여, 트랙내의 차선, 표지판 등을 인식하고 안전주행 점수를 평가하는 Score모드가 있다. 결론적으로 RC카와 VR을 동시 활용하는 것이 특징인 본 프로젝트는 높은 H/W 독립성, 확장성을 가지며, S/W적으로는 혼합현실적 요소를 체험할 수 있다. 나아가 사회적인 의미로 여러 세대가 함께하는 유익한 놀이 콘텐츠의 활성화를 기대할 수 있다.

  • GPS sensors provide accurate position and velocity of moving vehicles. However, GPS is weak at intermittent signal loss and large position error. Combination with INS improves the GPS position accuracy during the GPS signal loss. In this paper, a fusion filter using GPS and INS is developed and its perfomance is analyzed with RC car and RC airplane experiments.

  • 스마트폰 어플로 구글의 STT API를 이용하여 음성인식을 적용한다. 이는 문자열로 변환하고 블루투스 통신을 통하여 아두이노 RC카로 정보를 전달하여 동작하도록 제어한다. 아두이노 RC카에 부착한 라인센서와 초음파센서를 통해 차선변경의 유/무와 앞/뒤 차량 간의 거리를 측정하여 비상등을 자동으로 점등할 수 있도록 한다. 본 연구의 결과로써 운전자간의 예의범절을 갖춘 운행과 초보운전자들의 미숙한 상황대처를 보완할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
