Compartment syndrome is not uncommon in the forearm or lower extremity, but it is relatively rare in the upper arm. This rarity might delay the diagnosis, especially in the unconscious or intoxicated patient. Therefore, a high index of suspicion is needed to make an accurate, early diagnosis. Although excessive muscle strain leading to localized compartment syndrome is seldom encountered in the upper arm, three cases of compartment syndrome in the upper arm after blunt injury have been reported. Interestingly, there were no bony injuries in any of these patients. However, there are only two reports of isolated dorsal compartment syndrome after blunt trauma. The present report presents the case of a patient who had blunt trauma to the upper arm that resulted in the development of compartment syndrome in the isolated dorsal compartment of the upper arm.

Hemangioma is the most common benign tumor in neonatal and infant stage. In the head and neck region, the lesion mostly occurs in the masseter, trapezoidal or sternocleidomastoid muscle. Due to its rarity and non-specific symptoms, it is difficult to diagnose precisely. Intramuscular hemangioma can be misdiagnosed as sialolithiasis of the parotid gland. There are several treatment options for hemangiomas such as sclerotherapy, radiotherapy, embolization, and surgery. Of all these, definitive surgical resection is considered most effective in preventing future recurrence. Here we report a case of intramuscular hemangioma that was detected in the patient's right masseter muscle which was initially misdiagnosed as parotid sialolithiasis and was consequently managed with surgical resection.

Acceleration of the fashion cycle has caused problems of environmental pollution because consumers made a lot of waste of clothes. To solve them, upcycle design has been uprised. This study researched the present condition through recent cases of upcycle design. The standard of collected cases is focused on used products which was already run out once and then has been recreated by being recreated with new design. Through this study, there is a purpose to provide solution of environmental pollutions and a right direction of upcycle fashion design. Collected cases are classified into five production methods. First method is Melting and Compressing, which it melts or compresses materials. Second method is Gathering and Combining, which it gathers or combines each different materials. Third method is Cutting and Dividing, which it cuts or divides products materials. Fourth method is Mixing and Changing, which it mixes materials, adds design elements, and changes of purpose. Final things are classified with multiplicatively used factors which are already divided.

To decide on the designation of a tidal-flat Provincial Park, a study area was defined in line with domestic and international case studies of Provincial Parks. A survey on landscape, geology, biota, and cultural resources was conducted in four tidal-flat areas including Bigeum-myeon and Docho-myeon, which are part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Shinan, Jeollanam-do. To identify areas most suitable to be designated as Provincial Park, a PSR evaluation process was adopted. This has resulted in the selection of the 'Palgupo' area surrounding Bigeum, Docho, Haui, Shinui, Jaeun, Amtae, Palgeum, Anjwa and Jangsan. Also the tidal-flat areas at Aphae-myeon, which are ecologically linked with the Jeungdo Tidal-flat Provincial Park, were included. The selected areas resulting from this study will meet various characteristics of tidal-flat ecosystems including naturalness, ecological network, rarity and eco-cultural diversity. After the tidal-flat Provincial Park has been specified, there is a need to perform a long-term sustainable management plan.

Thyroid hematoma secondary to a blunt trauma is a rare problem. Despite the rarity, it can be a life-threatening condition with tracheal compression. Both surgical exploration and conservative management have been suggested for thyroid hematoma. However, there is still controversy on the optimal treatment. A 67-year old man who progressed severe dyspnea and neck swelling was transferred to the emergency department with a blunt anterior neck trauma after traffic accident. Contrast enhanced neck computed tomography scan showed huge hematoma within the right thyroid gland and slight tracheal deviation without prominent airway obstruction. One day later, anterior neck swelling was aggravated and the patient was intubated to prevent airway obstruction. After 3 days, hematoma resolution was revealed and extubation was done. We report this case with a review of literature.

Femoral hernia is very rare in children and is easily misdiagnosed. During a period of three years, three children with femoral hernia were treated by one pediatric surgeon at Severance Hospital. Only one case was diagnosed correctly before surgery, and the others were thought to be either an indirect inguinal hernia or groin mass. Curative hernioplasty (McVay hernioplasty) could be done in only one case at the time of first operation. Diagnosis of femoral hernia in children is a challenge because of rarity and similarity of clinical presentation to indirect inguinal hernia. Co-incidental findings of indirect inguinal hernia sac or patent processus vaginalis during surgery can perpetuate the misdiagnosis. In case of absence of expected indirect inguinal hernia or apparent recurrence of indirect inguinal hernia, one should consider the possibility of femoral hernia.

콕시디오이데스 진균증은 미국 남서부 지역의 풍토병으로 알려져 있고 국내 발병 례가 적으므로 진단에 혼선 및 지연을 초래할 수 있다. 그러나 최근 해외 여행자의 증가와 함께 외국 풍토병의 국내 발현이 증가하는 추세임로, 임상양상과 진단이 맞지 않는 경우 환자의 해외여행 경력이 진단에 중요한 실마리를 제공할 수 있으며 외국 풍토병올 염두에 두어야 할 것이다. 또한 의심이 되는 경우 적극적인 조직검사를 통한 진단과 치료가 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to obtain the dynamic characteristics of an absorption refrigerator powered by solar energy by experiments. Since the absorption refrigerator power by solar energy should have the characteristics which is suitable for the intermittence and rarity of solar energy, not only the characteristics of the steady state operations but also the partial load and the transient operations should be considered. The minimum available temperature of the storage tank should be known, and the absorption refrigerator can be suitably selected for air-conditioning systems. In this study, the experimental data of the transient state for on-off and warming-up operations has been obtained. Also the experiments are performed which test the minimum available temperature of the storage tank. The results show that it takes 1 hour to get to the steady state of the absorption refrigerator, and the minimum available temperature of the storage tank is about $68^{\circ}C$, and show that in the partial load operations the performance of the absorption refrigerator is improved by applying the modified control method to on-off operations.

Surgical excision along with use of postoperative radiotherapy forms an integral management of sinonasal teratocarcinosarcoma (SNTCS). However, given the rarity of the tumor, no standardised guidelines, dose, technique and target delineation exist especially in the era of modern radiation delivery techniques. This is a case of 55-year-old male diagnosed as SNTCS treated with radical ethmoidectomy followed by volumetric modulated radiotherapy, showing good local control and acceptable toxicity profile.

Because the development of Korea's water resources will reach its limit in the near future, preparations should now be begun to deal with problems that may come as a result. It will be too late to start preparations when the water resources have already reach their limitation and, as the preparations cannot be done in a day, it will take a long time to provide them. Now is the great turning point to accumulate our technical experiences and attain our plans gradually. The preparations against this are summarized as follows; 1)The transitory use of water should be turn into the recurrent use for the future. 2)A cooperative water control system of an area should be arranged. 3)Water saving, control of water demand, and the multiple use of water should be encouraged. To do this effectively, people should be informed of the value and rarity of water. 4)The development of freshwater reserviors at estuaries is closely related to the development of water utilization in the whole river basin. The development of water resources by the construction of freshwater reservoirs at the estuaries should be started, when the development of upstream water resources reaches their limitation. 5)The existing water utilization structures should be reorganized by water resources exchange planning, so the effective use of water in large areas be attained.
