Analysis of Flow Characteristic and Suspended Soild Transport at Nakdong River using RAMS and SMS Models (RAMS 및 SMS 모형을 이용한 낙동강 본류 구간의 흐름분석 및 부유사 거동 모의)

  • 본 연구에서는 남구미대교, 왜관낙동강대교가 통과하는 낙동강 본류의 구미, 칠곡구간 9.23km에 대하여 설계홍수량과 평수량에 대한 흐름분석과 공사시 발생가능한 부유사 농도를 산정하여 부유사의 거동에 대해 2차원 유한요소모형인 RAMS와 SMS 모형을 이용하여 모의하였다. 흐름모의를 실시한 결과, RAMS 및 SMS 모형에 의해 산정된 수위 및 유속 결과가 기본계획보고서에서 제시된 수위 및 유속과 유사하게 산정되고 있었으며, 교량 주변의 흐름분포도 RAMS 및 SMS모형의 결과가 유사하게 모의 되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 공사강도에 따른 발생가능한 부유사 농도를 산정하고 공사가 이루어질 위치 2지점을 가정하여 각각 RAMS 및 SMS모형을 이용하여 부유사 거동을 모의하였다. RAMS 및 SMS 모형에 의한 모의결과, 두 모형 모두 각 지점 하류 100m 부근의 부유사농도가 30~40, 15~20ppm의 범위로 부유사 농도를 보이고 있었다.

  • There are several international standards, established by IEC, for RAMS management of railway system. Those int'l standards are described only total RAMS management, but RAM and safety activities have dissimilar characteristics. In this paper, we suggest the separated RAMS architecture with RAM and safety activity for railway signaling system.

  • Recently the design of railway systems have been performed, based on the analysis of operational conditions and service targets, it is to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of system operation. Many RAMS requirements have been developed to transform operation conditions into system design characteristics. However, our railway industry has not actived the application of RAMS into system design performance. According to short of RAMS application, many technologies that have been developed are not only applied the existing systems that is operating, but also have not succeed to apply for new systems. In order to design the effective and efficient railway systems that are optimized to operation conditions and service targets, a systems approach and RAMS management are necessary in railway development, operation and maintenance. Therefore, in this study, the RAMS performance requirement design methods are discussed. the allocation methods from system level to each devices of subsystems.

A RAMS Atmospheric Field I Predicted by an Improved Initial Input Dataset - An Application of NOAA SST data - (초기 입력 자료의 개선에 의한 RAMS 기상장의 예측 I - NOAA SST자료의 적용 -)

  • In an effort to examine the Regional Atmospheric Modeling System (RAMS ver. 4.3) to the initial meteorological input data, detailed observational data of NOAA satellite SST (Sea Surface Temperature) was employed. The NOAA satellite SST which is currently provided daily as a seven-day mean value with resolution of 0.1 $^{\circ}$ grid spacing was used instead of the climatologically derived monthly mean SST using in RAMS. In addition, the RAMS SST data must be changed new one because it was constructed in 1993. For more realistic initial meteorological fields, the NOAA satellite SST was incorporated into the RAMS-preprocess package named ISentropic Analysis package (ISAN). When the NOAA SST data was imposed to the initial condition of prognostic RAMS model, the resultant performance of near surface atmospheric fields was discussed and compared with that of default option of SST. We got the good results that the new SST data was made in a standard RAMS format and showed the detailed variation of SST. As the modeling grid became smaller, the SST differences of the NOAA SST run and the RAMS SST43 (default) run in diurnal variation were very minor but this research can apply to further study for the realistic SST situation and the development in predicting regional atmospheric field which imply the regional circulation due to differential surface heating between sea and land or climatological phenomenon.

  • The railway system consists of many items such as sub-systems, equipments and parts to accomplish the required function. Also the railway system is very complex system that these items are connected with interface among items. According with this complexity, the process of system engineering is applied to the construction of new railway project to manage systematically. In addition, the research about system engineering is progressing in recent. The RAMS management is one part of system engineering, and is to assure the required safety and performance. Also, this RAMS should be managed through system life cycle. This paper show the case study of management of RAMS during construction and operation phase in respect of system life cycle. As a result of this research, the best way of RAMS management based on system engineering in operation phase for railway system is suggested.

  • RAMS(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Safety) analyses are particularly important in the railway engineering sector and are increasingly required the specialized procedures. The RAMS analysis is performed to meet the high safety and quality standards. The RAMS standards were established in 1990s. EN 50126 of CENELEC, and IEC 62278 provide railway authorities and railway company with a procedure which will enable the implementation of a consistent approach to the management of RAMS. IEC 62278 will be often referred to in the field of railway system. This paper represents the RAMS procedure to apply to the EMU (Electrical Multiple Unit) based on the referenced RAMS standards.

  • This paper is described the System of effective RAMS Management established for AREX Railway System. This system for AREX's E&M system contains FRACAS(Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action Plan) and computation of RAMS indices. This procedure is applying to improve the Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety for railway system in operation stage. Furthermore, this system would be a basis of RCM(Reliability Centred Maintenance).

  • The interests about railway safety have been highly increased. Early railway safety was widely studied in Europe and Japan, and safety standards were established in 1990s. EN 50126 of CENELEC, Railway applications - Specification and demonstration of RAMS, became IEC 62278 in 2002. This standard provides Railway Authorities and railway support industry with a process which will enable the implementation of a consistent approach to the management of RAMS. IEC 62278 will be often referred to in the field of railway system. This paper examined the application of railway RAMS on basis of IEC 62278.
