(R)-JG-381, a R form of alkylglycidic acid derivative, was examined for mutagenicity in the reverse mutation test on bacteria, chromosomal aberration test on cultured mammalian cells and micronucleus test in mice. In the reverse mutation test on bacteria using Salmonella typhimurium strain TA98, TA100, TA102, TA1535, TA1537 with or without a metabolic activation system (S9 mix), (R)-JG-381 did not affect the revertant colonies but significantly increased revertant colonies in one test strain, TA98, compared with the vehicle control. In the chromosomal aberration (CA) test using cultured Chinese Hamster Lung fibroblast(CHL) cells, the number of aberrant cells was clot increased in the presence or absence of 59 mix at concentration of the (R)-JG-381 0.025 $\mu$l/m1 to 0.1 $\mu$l/m1, compared with vehicle control. In the micronucleus (MN) test, micronucleated polychromatic erythrocytes in the (R)-JG-381-treated mice were not different from those of the vehicle-treated mice.

Previous studies have reported that decreased cognitive ability has been consistently associated with significant declines in performance of one or both tasks under a dual-task walking condition. This study examined the relationship between specific cognitive abilities and the dual-task costs (DTCs) of spatio-temporal gait parameters in stroke patients. The spatio-temporal gait parameters were measured among 30 stroke patients while walking with and without a cognitive task (Stroop Word-Color Task) at the study participant's preferred walking speed. Cognitive abilities were measured using Computerized Neuropsychological Testing. Pearson's correlation coefficients (r) were calculated to quantify the associations between the neuropsychological measures and the DTCs in the spatio-temporal gait parameters. Moderate to strong correlations were found between the Auditory Continuous Performance test (ACPT) and the DTCs of the Single Support Time of Non-paretic (r=.37), the Trail Making A (TMA) test and the DTCs of Velocity (r=.71), TMA test and the DTCs of the Step Length of Paretic (r=.37), TMA test and the DTCs of the Step Length Non-paretic (r=.36), the Trail Making B (TMB) test and the DTCs of Velocity (r=.70), the Stroop Word-Color test and the DTCs of Velocity (r=-.40), Visual-span Backward (V-span B) test and the DTCs of Velocity (r=-.41), V-span B test and the DTCs of the Double Support Time of Non-paretic (r=.38), Digit-span Forward test and the DTCs of the Step Time of Non-paretic (r=-.39), and Digit-span Backward test and the DTCs of the Single Support Time of Paretic (r=.36). Especially TMA test and TMB test were found to be more strongly correlated to the DTCs of gait velocity than the other correlations. Understanding these cognitive features will provide guidance for identifying dual- task walking ability.

R&D 투자와 경제성장간의 관계에 대한 많은 기존 논의들은 R&D 투자가 경제성장에 대해 강한 양(+)의 관계가 존재함을 제시하고 있다. 그러나 투자와 성장사이의 강한 결합관계가 반드시 일방적 인과관계를 의미하는 것은 아니기 때문에 인과관계의 방향에 대한 보다 심층적인 연구가 필요하다. 특히 급변하는 안보환경 속에서 국방 R&D 투자가 증대되고 있음을 고려해 볼 때 국방 R&D 투자와 타 부문 R&D 투자 및 경제성장과의 결합관계에 대한 논의에 앞서 각 변수들 간의 인과관계에 대한 연구가 선행되어야 하나, 현재까지 국방 R&D 투자와 타 부문 간의 인과관계를 연구한 실적이 전무한 실정이다. 따라서 국방 R&D 투자와 다른 변수들과의 인과관계 분석을 통하여 국방 R&D 투자정책에 관한 정책적 시사점을 제시하였다는데 본 논문의 의미를 두고자 한다.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the competency of the Easyperio test, a genetic test method based on real time PCR for the detection of bacteria that cause dental caries and periodontal disease. To verify the validity of this text, various dental health evaluations were administered to 33 boys between the ages of 12 to 14, as this age group commonly experiences dental caries. These evaluations included a dental caries experience survey, a first molar health evaluation, the Dentocult Streptococcus mutans (SM) strip mutans, the Dentocult Lactobacillus spp (LB) test, and the Easyperio test. The correlation coefficients between the level of the Dentocult SM strip mutans and the dental caries experience were DT (R=0.570, p=0.001), DMFT (R=0.376, p=0.031), and first molar health (R=-0.395, p=0.023). The correlation coefficients between the amount of SM in the Easyperio test and dental caries experience were DT (R=0.528, p=0.002), DMFT (R=0.369, p=0.035), and first molar health (R=-0.426, p=0.013). The correlation coefficients between the level of the dentocult SM strip mutans and the SM amounts of the Easyperio test were S.mi (R=0.564 p=0.001) and S.mu (R=0.621, p=0.002). The correlation coefficients between the level of the Dentocult LB test and the SM amount of Easyperio test was S.mi (R=0.495, p=0.003). In conclusion, Easyperio test may be an easy and effective method for the differentiation and diagnosis of dental caries through quantitative and qualitative analysis of oral bacteria.

In medical selection of Daehan Education Insurance, for 6 months from June 1st, 1984 to November 30th, 1984 we examined 2523 persons, who were supposed to receive general test and Normal subject test Then we did syphilis test by selecting the way of R.P.R. card test and repeatedly confirming the examination serologically. The results are as follows: 1) As results of R.P.R. card test, 30 out of 1592 males are positive(1.89%) and 10 out of 931 females are positive(1.1%). 40 out of total 2523 persons are positive(1.6%). 2) As results of T.P.H.A, 28 out of 1592 males are positive(1.76%) and 9 out of 931 females are positive. 37 out of total 2523 persons are positive(1.47%). 3) When R.P.R. card test is compared with T.P.H.A test, 40 persons by R.P.R. showed that 2 males and female are negative and only 37 persons are positive in T.P.H.A test. And so the result agreement rate of R.P.R. card test and T.P.H.A test showed 92.5%. 4) In the age-distribution males have high positive rates in 30's and 40's and females have high positive rates in 20's and 40's when the subjects are normal.

구면과 비구면 R.G.P 렌즈 착용실태 조사를 인천 경기지역 안경사 374명을 대상으로 착용비율, 관리법, 예비검사법등 여러가지 문항을 설정하여 조사 하였다. 대부분의 안경사들은 비구면 R.G.P 렌즈를 구면보다 7:3의 비율로 많이 판매하고 있었으며 R.G.P 렌즈 핏팅시 반드시 행하여야할 예비검사 항목 Schirmer test, Tear Break up time test, Slit lamp에 의한 Fluorescein검사, Topography에 의한 각막 지형도 검사를 시행하는지 조사하였으나 대부분 시행하지 않고 있었다. 또한 R.G.P 렌즈 핏팅시 가장 많이 나타나는 증상으로는 가벼운 이물감, 충혈, 시력 흐림, 건조감 순으로 나타났다. 본 실태 조사는 이상적인 R.G.P 렌즈를 핏팅을 위하여 반드시 행하여야 할 예비검사 항목을 나열하였으며, 그 중요성을 일깨우고자 하는데 목적이 있다.
