컬러 영상에서 HR비를 이용한 화소기반 피부색 검출 (Pixel-based Skin Color Detection using the Ratio of H to R in Color Images)

  • This paper describes a new algorithm for pixel-based skin color detection to differentiate human form in color images by the ratio of R to H. In order to detect skin color efficiently, we examine the distribution of the R, G and B color elements combining to constitute the skin color in various color images. It shows that R is located in a narrower area than G and B on the RGB color space. And skin color is more related to R than G and B. Meanwhile, when the color image is transformed to the HSI color space, the S is variously changed in accordance with skin colors. The I is changed in accordance with the quantity and angle of light. But the H is less influenced by other conditions except for color. On the basis of the aforementioned study, we propose that the threshold for skin color detection is decided by the ratio of R to H. The proposed method narrows down the range of threshold, detects more skin color and reduces mis-detection of skin color in comparison to detection by R or H. In experimentation. it shows that the proposed algorithm overcomes changes of brightness and color to detect skin color in color images.

게이지 R&R 연구에서 근사 F검정과 EMS를 이용한 측정 정밀도의 평가 (Evaluation of Measurement Precisions Using Approximate F Tests and EMS in the Gauge R&R Studies)

  • A development in method of evaluating the measurement precisions using approximate F tests and variance components from expected mean square (EMS) is investigated. The research proposes three-factor mixed measurement models with the fixed and random factors. Unrestricted and unconstrained design work was rarely studied, while restricted and constrained designs have been significantly discussed. The unrestricted and unconstrained designs assume to be an independence of interaction. The proposed evaluation method about the measurement precisions can be extended to four-factor random measurement model or mixed measurement model. The study also presents the three evaluation indexes of precisions such as R&RTR (Reproducibility & Repeatability-To-Total Precision Ratio), PTR (Precision-To-Tolerance Ratio), and SNR (Signal-To-Noise Ratio). Numerical examples are proposed to evaluate the approximate F tests with Satterthwaite degrees of freedom and three indexes using the measurement precisions from EMS.

염류집적(鹽類集積)이 상추의 발아(發芽) 및 생육(生育)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effect of Salt Accumulation on the Germination and Growth of Lettuce(Lactuca Sativa, L.))

  • 시설재배지(施設栽培地) 염류집적(鹽類集積)이 상추의 발아율 및 생육(生育)에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위하여 토양(土壤)의 염류농도(鹽類濃度)(1.65, 3.50, 5.75. 7.15, 9.50, 13.57 dS/m)를 달리하여 폿트시험을 수행하였다. 1. 상추는 증류수 그리고 KCl로 조절한 EC: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 dS/m의 농도(濃度)에서 각각 86.7, 86.7, 72.2, 42.2, 27.8 %의 발아율을 보였으며, 토양(土壤)의 EC 농도(濃度)별 입모율은 6dS/m이하의 토양에서는 60% 이상이었으나 7.15, 9.50, 13.57 dS/m의 토양에서는 각각 45, 32, 31%의 낮은 입모율(立毛率)을 보였다. 2. 상추의 생육(生育)은 EC가 낮은 토양(土壤)일수록 양호(良好)하였으며, 수량은 토양(土壤)의 EC 1.65 dS/m에 비하여 3.56 dS/m의 토양(土壤)에서 22% 증수된 반면, 토양EC가 5.75, 7.15, 9.50, 13.57 dS/m에서는 각각 3, 15, 60, 62% 감수(減收)하였다. 3. 토양의 EC와 상추의 입모율(立毛率)은 고도(高度)의 부의 상관(相關)($r=-0.9057^{**}$)이 있었으므로 염류집적지(鹽類集積地) 토양(土壤)에서 다음식 [Y=-4.313x + 82.95(Y : 입모율. x : 토양 EC)]으로 상추의 입모율(立毛率) 예측이 가능하며, 또한 상추의 입모율(立毛率)은 생체중(生體重)과 고도의 유의 상관($r=0.8396^{**}$)을 보였다.

토양 내수성 입단과 토양특성과의 관계 (Relationship Between Soil Water-Stable Aggregates and Physico-chemical Soil Properties)

  • 토양의 입단은 토양의 물리적 구조를 형성함에 있어서 매우 중요한 특성이며 토양의 양분 및 수분의 이동 및 토양관리방법 등과 매우 밀접한 연관이 있다. 그러나 토양의 입단과 토양특성에 대한 상호관계에 관한 연구가 매우 미흡하다. 본 연구에서는 토양의 내수성 입단과 토양 물리화학적 특성관계를 구명하고자 토양의 토양물리 화학성과 함께 내수성 입단을 측정하여 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 토양의 내수성 토양입단형성에 미치는 토양물리성 입자 중 미사($r=0.82^{***}$)와 점토($r=0.75^{***}$) 함량은 유의성이 있는 정의 상관을 보였으며, 모래($r=-0.82^{***}$)는 유의성 있는 부의 상관을 나타내었다. 토양화학적 특성은 Ca > Mg > CEC > OM > K > Al 순으로 내수성 토양입단 함량과 통계적으로 유의한 상관성을 나타내었다. Middleton의 분산율 (0.05mm 이하)과 내수성 토양입단함량과는 통계적으로 유의한 상관 ($r=-0.76^{***}$)을 나타내었다. 내수성 입단 함량 추정을 위한 Middleton의 분산율의 유의한 회귀모형이 산출되었다 (Y=-0.79X+96.49; $r^2=0.58^{**}$). 결론적으로, Middleton의 분산율을 이용하여 토양의 내수성 토양 입단함량을 간편하고 빠르게 측정할 수 있었다.

Straw to Grain Ratio Equation for Combine Simulation

  • Purpose: The ratio of straw to grain mass as a function of cutting height affects combine efficiency and power consumption and is an important input parameter to combine simulation models. An equation was developed to predict straw to grain ratios for wheat as a function of cutting height. Methods: Two mass functions, one for straw and one for grain, were developed using regression techniques and measured data collected in west Texas during the summer, and used to predict the straw to grain ratio. Results: Three equations were developed to facilitate the simulation of a combine during wheat harvest. Two mass functions, one for straw and one for grain, were also developed; a quadratic equation describes the straw mass with an $R^2$ of 0.992. An S-shaped curve describes the mass function for grain with an $R^2$ of 0.957. An equation for straw to grain ratio of wheat was developed as a function of cutting height. The straw to grain ratio has an $R^2$ value of 0.947. Conclusions: In all cases, the equations had $R^2$ values above 0.94 and were significant at the 99.9 percent probability level (alpha = 0.001). Although all three equations are useful, the grain mass and straw to grain ratio equations will have direct application in combine simulation models.

펠릿 이송용 이젝터의 구동노즐 구성에 따른 유동 및 이송특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Effect of Primary Nozzle Configuration on the Flow and Transfer Characteristics in an Ejector System for Pellet Transfer)

  • The effects of design parameters on the pellet transport rate in the ejector system which is widely used in the production processes of automotive parts were investigated experimentally. The primary nozzle geometry, the area ratio (R) of nozzle exit cross-sectional area to mixing chamber cross-sectional area and the distance (S) from primary nozzle exit to mixing chamber entrance were considered as the design parameters. The area ratios of the primary nozzle were varied from R=0.10 to R=0.25, 0.30, 0.40 and 0.55. The primary nozzle was positioned at the non-dimensional distance (S/D) of 1.30, 1.87, 2.44, 3.00 and 3.75, normalized using the mixing chamber diameter (D). The design parameters were determined to run with high efficiency by measuring the pellets transport rate. The geometry and the area ratio (R) of the primary nozzle had an effect on the pellet transport rate of the ejector system, and the area ratio of R=0.3 was carefully selected after taking the minimum fluidization velocity and transport rate of applied pellets into account. The higher pellet transport rate with the variation of the distance (S/D) was observed at S/D of 2.44.

가공열처리한 Al-Zn-Mg 합금의 피로균열 성장거동에 미치는 하중비의 영향 (Effects of Load Ratio on Fatigue Crack Growth in a TMT Treated Al-Zn-Mg Alloy)

  • Fundmental fatigue crack propagation tests with C-T type specimens were conducted at various load ratios (R) such as 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5 in T6 and Thermomechanically treated (TMT) conditions of 7039 Al alloy. Better mechanical properties from monotonic test as well as fatigue crack propagation were obtained by TMT process owing to uniform distribution of fine microstructures and non-existence of precipitation free zone (PFZ). Through the measurement of Kop and ${\Delta}K$ at various R the concept of effective stress intensity factor range ratio, U was reviewed to asses the load ratio effect on fatigue crack propagation. A relationship between U and variables such as ${\Delta}K$ and R was obtained empirically. This may enable us to predict ${\Delta}K_{eff}$ that is of critical importance for prediction of fatigue crack propagation rate.

R141b 포접화합물을 이용한 축냉시스템의 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Performance of Cool Storage System using R141b Clathrate)

  • Experiments have carried out to investigate the effects of parameters, such as mass ratio of R141b-to-water, stirrer speed, brine inlet temperature, brine flowrate, and additives, on the performance of the cool storage system using R141b clathrate. The cool storage system in this experiment was composed of storage tank, refrigerator, and heater. The results show that the mass ratio of R141b-to-water, 1 : 3~1 : 3.5 gives the best performance and the stirring speed has optimum point as 600rpm. At this speed impeller Reynolds number is $1.01{\times}10^5$. The lower the inlet brine temperature and the highter the brine flowrate, the better performance. The addition of metal powder turned out to reduce the degree of supercooling. The supercooling reduction was proportional to the amount of the metal power. However when metal powder was added more than 0.1 wt%, there was no additional supercooling reduction. The surfactants shortened the time consumed for cool storage to the half of no surfactant added case.

완화형 가유전체에서 전계인가에 따른 격자왜곡과 강유전물성의 상관관계 (Electric-Field-Induced Lattice Distortion and Related Properties in Relaxor Ferroelectrics)

  • Effects of electric-field-induced lattice distortion on the polarization and strain were investigated in Pb(Mg/sub 1/3/Nb/sub 2/3)O₃ relaxor ferroelectric ceramics in the temperature range of -50℃∼90℃. The ratio of residual strain and polarization (S/sub r//P/sub r/ rarely depends on the temperature. However, the ratio of the electric field included strain and polarization (S/sub induced//P/sub induced/) increased as the temperature decreases below phase transition temperature. To explain these experimental results, a simple rigid ion model concentrating on only Bo/sub 6/ octahedron was suggested.

연구개발된 정보통신기술의 효율적인 상용화 지원방안 연구 (Effective Commercialization Strategies for the R&D in the Area of Information & Communication Technology)

  • In this paper, we use a structural equation model to diagnose success factors on commercialization of information and communication technology considering the characteristics of commercialization process in terms of the type of technology, technology provider and technology receiver. The results of our study indicated the following. The transferor's research ability has significant effects on the commercialization by small businesses with low R&D expenditure to sales ratio, and the business management ability plays an important role in the commercialization by the relatively large (over 100 employees) companies with low R&D expenditure ratio. During the commercialization of the technology independently researched by government run institute or university, the transferee's business management ability is crucial to success. To those companies which run the existing business with high R&D expenditure ratio, their ability to utilize technology is essential. When the independently researched technology is used in the new business, the companies' business management ability and the role of technology transfer center are the important factors on the commercialization. Based on these findings, we suggest some strategies to effectively promote R&D efforts for successful commercialization.
