  • The main objective of this experimental study is to investigate shear strength of reinforced concrete beams according to longitudinal reinforcement ratio (ρ) and size effect. In order to find out the shear strength according to the tensile reinforcement ratio, in particular, the main variables are 100%, 75% and 50% of ρ=0.01 which is widely used in construction field. A total of twelve RC beams were tested under 4-point loading conditions. In addition to the existing proposal equations, the theoretical values such as KBC and ACI equations are compared with the experimental data. Through this analysis, this study is designed to provide more reasonable equations for shear design of reinforced concrete beams. When shear reinforcement bar spacing of nine specimens (R*-1, R*-2, and R*-3 series) fixed as d/s=2.0 and three specimens of R*-4 series fixed as d/s=1.5 are compared, the shear strength of two groups showed similar values. As a result, the current standard of d/s=2.0 for shear reinforcement bar spacing may be somewhat alleviated.

자본구조와 R&D활동이 기업 성과에 미치는 영향 : 엔터테인먼트 산업을 중심으로 (Effects of Capital Structure and R&D Activities on Firm Performance : Evidence From the Entertainment Industry)

  • 본 연구는 자본구조가 기업 성과에 미치는 영향이라는 재무학계의 주요 연구주제를 엔터테인먼트 기업에 초점을 두어 분석한다. 또한 4차 산업혁명 시대를 맞이하여 그 중요성을 더하고 있는 엔터테인먼트기업의 R&D투자가 자본구조와 기업 성과의 관계성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 실증 분석을 위하여 2000년부터 2018년까지 장기간의 표본 기간을 이용하고 국내 유가증권 시장 및 코스닥 시장에 상장된 전체 기업 표본과 엔터테인먼트 기업 표본을 이용하여, 엔터테인먼트 기업들이 나타내는 특수성을 검증하였다. 기업의 성과로는 재무적 성과인 기업 가치와 회계적 성과인 수익성을 모두 이용하였다. 분석 결과, 엔터테인먼트 기업의 자본구조는 재무적 성과에 약한 긍정적 영향력 또는 무관련성 모습을 나타냈다. 그러나 엔터테인먼트 기업의 자본구조는 회계적 성과인 수익성에는 부정적 영향을 미치고 있었다. 또한 엔터테인먼트 기업들의 R&D투자는 자본구조와 기업성과 간의 관계성을 강화하거나 약화시키는 효과를 나타내지 않았다. 본 연구는 엔터테인먼트 산업을 대상으로 한 분석을 진행해야 할 필요성을 제시하여 준다. 국내 엔터테인먼트 기업들을 대상으로 하여 자본구조 및 R&D투자가 기업 성과에 미치는 영향과 관련한 분석이 진행된 바가 없음을 감안할 때, 본 연구는 엔터테인먼트 산업에 대한 재무적 측면에서의 이해도를 증진시키고 향후 후속 연구의 활성화를 위해 공헌할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • In this paper, the active backlight control technology with data processing algorithm was developed in order to improve image quality for IPS-mode LCD-TV applications. The image blinking problem caused by repeatedly abrupt change of the backlight luminance was solved by algorithms-Fba(Flexible Boundary algorithm) and Cfa(Cumulative Feedback algorithm)-and the optimized number and space of backlight dimming steps based on perception. In the IPS-mode 42" TFT-LCD panel, the dynamic contrast ratio can be more than twice the typical level by means of lower block luminance and higher white luminance. Additionally, Power consumption and LCD temperature was decreased.

조절자극 방식에 따른 원거리와 근거리 AC/A비에 관한 연구 (The Study of Distance and Near AC/A Ratio by Stimulus)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 근거리 경사 AC/A 비가 원거리 외사위 교정에 적용될 수 있는지를 알아 보기 위하여 원거리 및 근거리 경사 AC/A 비의 차이를 비교하고 또한 계산 AC/A 비와 경사 AC/A 비의 관계에 대하여 연구 하였다. 방법: 타각적 및 자각적 굴절검사에 의한 완전교정 후 원거리 경사 AC/A 비 검사는 -1.00 D를 가입한 후 Howell 시표(3 m용)를 사용하였으며, 근거리 경사 AC/A 비 검사는 +1.00 D, -1.00 D, +2.00 D와 -2.00 D를 각각 가입한 후 Howell-Kim(40 cm 용) 시표를 사용하여 사위검사와 계산 AC/A 비를 측정하였다. 결과: 원거리 사위는 평균 외사위 1.17${\pm}$1.17 $\Delta$, 근거리 평균 외사위 3.71${\pm}$2.80 $\Delta$으로 나타나(t-test. p < 0.001), 원근거리 사위의 상관관계(r = 0.59, p < 0.001)는 비교적 높게 나타났다. 경사 AC/A 비는 측정거리와 조절자극에 따라 다양하였고(r = 0.11~0.53. p < 0.001) 측정거리가 가까울수록 조절자극이 클수록 높았다. 또한 플러스 굴절력보다 마이너스 굴절력에 의한 조절자극이 높게 나타났다(t-test. p<0.001). 또한 계산 AC/A 비가 클수록 경사 AC/A 비는 오히려 낮아지는 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 원거리와 근거리에서 -1.00 D 부가한 경사 AC/A 비는 원거리가 1.30 $\Delta$/D 근거리가 1.68 $\Delta$/D로 근거리 AC/A 비가 유의적인 수준에서 약간 크게 나타났다(t-test. t=1.67, p<0.001). 결론: 본 연구를 통하여 계산 AC/A 비와 경사 AC/A 비의 음의 상관관계를 알 수 있었고, 근거리 경사 AC/A 비가 원거리 경사 AC/A 비보다 작지만 유의적 수준의 차이를 보여 원거리 외사위의 교정은 원거리 경사 AC/A비를 반드시 측정할 필요성이 있음을 알 수 있었다.

CHEMTAX 활용한 가막만 식물플랑크톤 군집조성 (Composition of Phytoplankton in Gamak Bay by CHEMTAX Analyses)

  • Chlorophyll a (chl a) has been used as an indicator for phytoplankton biomass in pelagic ecosystems due to the relative ease of measurement and selectivity for autotrophs in mixed plankton assemblages. However, the use of chi a as an indicator for phytoplankton biomass is restricted due to its inability to resolve taxonomic differences of phytoplankton and the highly variable relationship of chi a with phytoplankton. Here, we describe the analysis of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) photosynthetic pigment data using CHEMTAX, which is a matrix factorization program that uses chemical taxonomic indices (phytoplankton carotenoids) to quantify the abundance of phytoplankton groups. Compared to direct microscopic counting that can distinguish species within broad groups, the resolution of taxonomic groups by CHEMTAX is generally coarse. It can only distinguish between diatoms, dinoflagellates, cryptophytes, cyanobacteria, chlorophytes, prasinophytes, and haptophytes. However, CHEMTAX analysis is much faster and less expensive than microscopic counting methods. HPLC pigment observations were taken in the spring, summer, fall, and winter in$ 2005\sim2006$ within Gamak Bay, South Korea. CHEMTAX results revealed that diatoms were the dominant taxonomic group in Gamak Bay. In inner Gamak Bay, the ratio between diatoms and cryptophytes was $75\sim80%$, and the ratio between dinoflagellates and cryptophytes was $10\sim15%$. In outer Gamak Bay, the ratio between diatoms and cryptophytes was $85\sim90%$, and the ratio between dinflagellates and cryptophytes was only $1\sim5%$. The population structure was seasonal. Relative diatom populations were less in the summer than the winter season.

시스템 다이내믹스를 이용한 제조-구매 결정 전략: 한국의 방위력 개선 사업을 중심으로 (Research on make-or-buy decision making strategy using system dynamics: Focused on Korea's military improvement project)

  • Strategic decision on the execution of national security improvement project is greatly important for the present and future national security. Though, the importance of strategic decision, decision making process has been executed under one-way thinking framework. This research provides a decision-making tool with make-or-buy approach for the national security improvement policy execution methods: foreign purchase and military R&D project, and, via simulation, confirms dynamic change of military capability index respect to change in ratio of foreign purchase and military R&D. A result shows that current ratio of foreign purchases and military R&D is insufficient for national security improvement policy goal. Applying the model from this research provides an appropriate ratio for short term and long term defense strategy and policy goal, and consequent result of increase in national security capability. Thus, this research model can be effectively utilized for national security improvement project.

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to analyze the influence of foreign and institutional investors in the pharmaceutical industry on R&D investments. Methods : The empirical analysis was done for the years 2009 to 2013 which examined the period after the influence of the financial crisis. Financial statements and comments in general and internal transactions were extracted from the TS-2000 of the Korea Listed Company Association. STATA 12.0 was used as the statistical package for the panel analysis. Results : The results show that the shareholding ratio of foreigner investors turned out to have a statistically significant influence on R&D investment. No statistical significance was found in the shareholding ratio of institutional investors. Conclusions : The findings of this study, which indicate that a higher shareholding ratio of foreigner investors leads to greater R&D investment, indicate that foreign investors directly or indirectly impose pressure on a manager to make R&D investments for the long-term.

RHEOLOGICAL CONSISTENCY OF CONCENTRATED WATER-IN-OIL EMULSION

  • We have studied a relationship between the pattern of complex modulus change versus internal phase volume ratio and the rheological consistency of concentrated W/O emulsions with Magnesium Sulfate in the range 0.0 to 0.5 wt% and with different oil polarities, respectively. The rheological consistency with time of concentrated W/O emulsion was checked using Fudoh Rheometer and the coalescence of deformed water droplets was examined using polarized light microscope(LEICA DMRP). To find the pattern of complex modulus change of the concentrated emulsions versus internal phase volume ratio, the effect of varying water phase volume fraction from 0.78 up to 0.85 on viscoelastic measurements was investigated using rotational rheometer (HAAKE Rheostress RS 50). The rheological consistency was mainly destroyed by the coalescence of the deformed water droplets. The greater the increase of complex modulus was, the less coalescence occurred and the more consistent the concentrated emulsions were. And the pattern of complex modulus increase versus volume ratio has been explained with the resistance to coalescence of the deformed interfacial film of water droplets in concentrated W/O emulsion.

19F NMR investigation on the ratio of amorphous to crystal for the binder PVdF in Li ion battery

  • $^{19}F$ NMR experiments were carried out to observe the change of the characteristics of the PVdF binder which is an auxiliary material of the lithium ion battery. PVdF has various crystalline or amorphous phases by thermal treatment. A mixture of cathode and auxiliary materials including PVdF was coated on aluminum foil as an electron collector and then subjected to thermal treatment at various temperatures. The overlapped $^{19}F$ NMR signals obtained from the various phases were separately convoluted into the respective phases, and it was found that there was a relative ratio change of these phases. In addition, the crystal and amorphous phase of PVdF was changed during the vacuum drying, which is the last step of the actual electrode manufacturing. It was observed that the relative amount of amorphous phase, which may affect the flexibility of the electrode or the wettability of the electrolyte, abruptly changes after a certain temperature.

  • The antiferroelectric liquid crystal display (AFLCD) is a unique display that can at demonstrate a moving image perfectly the passive matrix driving scheme. We optimised driving the waveform and introduced a dual-driving method. Also, by improving this driving method and using line inversion method, we realize the AFLC display of high image quality with $160(RGB){\times}240$, 32768 colors, crosstalk free and flicker free contrast ratio is greater than 60:1, and the brightness is above 200 $cd/m^2$.
