  • 본 고에서는 국제전기통신연합 무선분과(ITU-R)의 주관 하에 2003년 6월 스위스 제네바에서 개최된 세계전파통신회의(WRC-2003)에서 다루어진 주요 의제에 대한 회의 경과 및 결과를 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 이를 통하여 향후 국내 무선 통신에 미치는 영향 및 이에 대한 대응방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 2000년에 개최된 세계전파통신회의에서는 차기 회의까지 글로벌 환경에서의 고밀도 고정위성업무를 위한 주파수 분배에 대한 연구를 의제로 결정하였다. 이후 ITU-R 회의에서는 17.3GHz 대역 이상의 주파수 대역에서 HDFSS에 적합한 주파수 대역을 연구하고 있는 중이다. 본 고에서에서는 국내 주파수 분배를 고려하여 적절한 HDFSS 주파수 대역을 고찰하고, 외국의 주파수 분배 현황에 대해 비교 검토하였다.

  • 글로벌동향브리핑(GTB)에서는 100여명의 국내 외 과학기술 전문가가 농림 수산, 생명과학, 보건 의료 등 19개 주제로 해외 과학기술동향을 소개하고 있다. 이를 바탕으로 식품분야의 최신 해외과학기술 주요동향을 요약하여 재정리 하고자 한다. 새로운 기술의 등장은 타분야 기술로 빠르게 파급된다. 최근 등장하는 기술 역시 농식품 분야로 전파되어 새로운 식품기술(Food Technology)의 등장을 견인하고 있다. 식품에 적용되기까지 많은 시간이 소요될 수 있으나 일부 연구자들은 발빠르게 움직여 관련 결과가 제시되기도 하고 있다. 따라서 이번 호에서는 3D printing, Big data, 영상기술 등 타분야의 신기술을 다루고자 한다.

  • The R language is an open source programming language and a software environment for statistical computing and data visualization. The R language is widely used among a lot of statisticians and data scientists to develop statistical software and data analysis. The R language provides a variety of statistical and graphical techniques, including basic descriptive statistics, linear or nonlinear modeling, conventional or advanced statistical tests, time series analysis, clustering, simulation, and others. In this paper, we first introduce the R language and investigate its features as a data analytics tool. As results, we may explore the application possibility of the R language in the field of data analytics.

A Study on the Planning of Ecological Landscape Construction in the Development Site of Cities -In the Case of Daeduk R & D Complex Construction Site- (도시내 개발대상지의 생태적 경관조성계획에 관한 연구 -대덕연구 단지 조성지를 대상으로-)

  • In order to make plan for landscape construction by ecological methods in Yukong R & D Complex site, environmental factors and structure of plant community were investigated and analyzed around Yukong R & D Complex site of Daeduk. The result of this study were as follows: 1. In the result by the classification of TWINSPAN and ordination (DCA) techniques for analysing of plant community structure, thirty plant community structure, thirty plots were divided into four groups according to soil moisture and succession trends were seem to be from the development of subsidiary vegetation through Pinus densiflora, Quercus spp., Robinia psudoacasia community to Q. acutissima community. So this result was proposed to validity of vegetation introduction for planning of ecological landscape construction in studied site. 2. On the analysis of environmental factors by ordination techeniques, the plant community were divided by soil moisture. Soilcondition will be fertilized by introduction of broad-leaved tree and the development of succession trends from the present state of plant community to Q. acutissima community. 3. The problems of horiticultural places happened to studied site, so horiticultural places for ecological landscape construction was proposed planting techniques that were considered to soil suitability, economical efficiency, native species and wildlife. 4. If we attempt to ecological landscape designs on natural systems and use natural processes to achieve desired end-points, we are more likely to produce self-sustaining solutions.

A Study on the Effects of Concave Shaping in Improving Contract Pressure for Planar Array Connector Terminal Pins (평면배열 커넥터 터미널 핀에 오목형상 부여가 접압력 향상에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Connectors transmit electric signals to different parts in compact mobile display products. As products that apply this have become lightweight and smaller in size, there are growing demands for smaller and more integrated connectors, which are internal parts of the products. As a measure to address these demands, there is the planar array connector that minimizes the part by arranging the single-direction BTB connectors to two directions. As connectors become smaller in size and more highly integrated, maintaining intensity to prevent defects during impact and maintaining adhesive force to smoothly transmit electric signals are growing in importance. Thus, in order to identify the impact of concave shaping on improving adhesive power in connector terminal pins as a method to increase the connecting power of planar array connector terminal pins, this study predicted and examined the concave shaping method, number of concave shapes, and the adhesive power according to the size of the concave shape through CAE. For concave shaping, the model that added concave shaping towards the lower part of the connector terminal pin and added spokes for the area pressed down by the concave shaping was 0.74 N, showing increased adhesive force compared to existing models. Furthermore, when applying two concave shaping, rather than just one, there was a tendency for adhesive force to increase. In the case of adhesive power trends according to the size of the concave shaping, adhesive power increased and the width of the concave shape decreased, and the biggest adhesive force trends were shown when the concave shaping depth was 0.01mm.

  • Recently, there has been an increase in the research and development of automated vehicles worldwide. Research focused on automated vehicles in Korea is steadily progressing as a national R&D project. Since automated driving technology comprises diverse technology fields, it is necessary to identify the current position of the research. In this study, we propose a methodology for analyzing research trends using the NTIS data. In addition, we review the effectiveness of the currently developed research trend methodology by deriving primary keywords and major topics using the proposed method. We expect that the methodology developed in this study can be applied to identify and analyze future automated vehicle research trends.

Exploring Technology Development Trends and Discovering Technology Convergence Opportunities in the Digital Twin using Patent Information (특허정보를 활용한 디지털 트윈 기술 동향 분석 및 기술융합기회 발굴)

  • Digital twin is considered as a key technology of industry 4.0, thus being essential for the future of industrial production. Despite the significance, a systematic analysis of its technological landscape is lacking. This study aims to investigate the technological development trends and newly emerging technological convergence opportunities in the domain of digital twin by exploiting patent information derived from U SPTO. For this purpose, this study visualized and predicted the convergence dynamics among patent classification codes by adopting patent co-classification analysis and link prediction approach. The findings show that the number of digital twin-related patent applications has increased significantly since 2018. The CPC code G06F showed the highest eigenvector centrality, while G05B was characterized by highest betweenness centrality. According to the predictive model, 41 novel links were revealed, acting as potential technology convergence opportunities. These links were then categorized into 11 different domains. The most dominant category was "digital data processing and artificial intelligence", which could play a foundational role in the diffusion of digital twin technology. The presence of digital twin technology is dominant in manufacturing, but its applications are expected to expand, including "climate change", "healthcare" and "aerospace engineering". The derived insights can support R&D managers and policy makers in formulating R&D strategies and directing future R&D investment decisions.

Exploring Key Topics and Trends of Government-sponsored R&D Projects in Future Automotive Fields: LDA Topic Modeling Approach (미래 자동차 분야 국가연구개발사업의 주요 연구 토픽과 투자 동향 분석: LDA 토픽모델링을 중심으로)

  • The domestic automotive industry must consider a strategic shift from traditional automotive component manufacturing to align with future trends such as connectivity, autonomous driving, sharing, and electrification. This research conducted topic modeling on R&D projects in the future automotive sector funded by the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy from 2013 to 2021. We found that topics such as sensors, communication, driver assistance technology, and battery and power technology remained consistently prominent throughout the entire period. Conversely, topics like high-strength lightweight chassis were observed only in the first period, while topics like AI, big data, and hydrogen fuel cells gained increasing importance in the second and third periods. Furthermore, this research analyzed the areas of concentrated investment for each period based on topic-specific government investment amounts and investment growth rates.

  • An EA(Evolutionary Acquisition) strategy is based on the systems engineering. It is a preferred approach to provide operationally useful capabilities to the warfighter much more quickly than single-step to full capability strategy. Recently, DoD is trying to apply the acquisition process based on the systems engineering. In spite of these trends, efforts of domestic defense acquisition society to this strategy are insufficient. Although an EA strategy has many benefits, there are many constraints to apply it. This study analyzes these constraints and presents applications of the EA strategy to defense R&D programs.
