  • SCM system is required inter-industrial cooperation as well as inter-organizational cooperation. It means not only standardization of inter-organization but also standardization of inter-industry. SCM makes possible one circulation from fiber to retail industry in the respects of information and product flows. QR is the SCM of textile apparel industry, which satisfy customer need with least cost and maximum profit. Customer-oriented supply chain system focused on information sharing, cost reduction, inventory control, lead time reduction, quick response on customer demand. How we can measure the performance of successful SCM is issued on the approach of Balanced Scorecard which evaluates 4 perspectives such as customer perspective, internal business perspective, financial perspective, and innovation and learning perspective. This can project the blueprint of textile fashion business to right direction with vision.

  • 본 논문은 SRT 시스템에서 고정 우선순위 정책을 사용하는 쓰레드가 기존보다 더 빠른 응답시간과 반환시간을 갖도록 하기 위한 개선된 스케쥴링 모델과 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 보조 실행 큐를 첨가하여 고정 우선순위 정책을 사용하는 쓰레드의 빠른 실행 및 에이징(aging)에 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존의 방식과 비교하였 으며 그 결과, 새로 제안된 모델의 경우, 고정 우선순위 쓰레드의 반응시간과 반환시 간이 기존보다 향상되었다.

  • A direct draft measurement system was developed based on the swingle tree- the rear component of the single-animal harnessing (or yoking) system . The prototype was made from a tube, on which four strain gages were attached. The pull of the draft animal through the flexible pull chains or ropes causes the beam to bend, The bending strain is sensed by the strain gages and the bridge converts this to a voltage signal. Counterweights keep the tube correctly oriented if the angle of pull changes , while end bearing follow the variations in the angle of pull. Hence, the voltage output is proportional to the draft. the device has highly linear response, acceptable sensitivity negligible error and hysteresis. It is suitable for electronic data acquisition, non-intrusive , easy to attach and detach and is reasonably priced.

  • This paper presents a robust control of a smart flexible structure featured by a piezofilm actuator characterizing its light weght and quick response time. A mathematical governing equation for the proposed structure is derived by employing Hamilton's principle and a state space control model is subsequentrly obtained through modal analysis. Uncertain system parameters such as frequency variation are included in the control model. A sliding mode control theroy thich has inherent robustness to systme uncertainties is adopted to design a tracking controller for the peizofilm actuator. Using the output informaiton from the tip deflection sensor, a full-order observer is constructed ot estimate state variables for the system. Tracking performances for desired trajectories of sinusoidal amd step functions are evaluated by undertaking both simulation and experimental works.

  • In the last decades, the increasing interest in unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) for military, surveillance, and rescue applications made necessary the development of flight control theory and body structure more and more efficient and fast. In this paper, we describe the design and performance of a prototype hexarotor UAV platform featuring an inertial measurement unit(IMU) based autonomous-flying for use in bluetooth communication environments. The proposed system comprises the construction of the test hexarotor platform, the implementation of an IMU, dynamic modeling and simulation in the hexarotor helicopter. Furthermore, the hexarotor helicopter with implemented IMU is connected with a micro controller unit(ARM-cortex) board. The P-PD control algorithm was used to control the hexarotor. We used the Matlab software to help us to tune the P-PD control parameters for quick response and minimizing the fluctuation. The control simulation and experiment on the real system are implemented in the test platform, evaluated and compared against each other.

  • This paper presents a two-paralleled 4 quadrant DC chopper type PWM power conversion circuit in order to generate a gradient magnetic field in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system. This power amplifier is connected in parallel with the conventional 4-quadrant DC chopper using IGBTs at their inputs/outputs to realize further high-power density, high speed current tracking control, and to get a low switching ripple amplitude in a controlled current in the Gradient Coils (GCs). Moreover, the power conversion circuit has to realize quick rise/fall response characteristics in proportion to various target currents in GCs. It is proposed in this paper that a unique control scheme can achieve the above objective. DSP-based control systems realize a high control facility and accuracy. It is proved that the new control system will greatly enlarge the diagnostic target and improve the image quality of MRI.

  • The improvement of the social environment and the rapid development of medicine are making possible the age of 100. So a great number of countries including Korea are rapidly becoming the aged society or the super aged society. The elderly are accompanied by discomfort and disability. A variety of systems are developed and distributed to overcome them. The electric wheelchair is an electric motorized system for people who can not manipulate a manual wheelchair. In this paper, we propose an autonomous driving platform for an electric wheelchair. Here we use QR (Quick Response) code for self-localization. We also present real test results of the proposed system.

An Automated Adaptive Finite Element Mesh Generation for Dynamics

  • Structural analysis remains as an essential part of any integrated civil engineering system in today's rapidly changing computing environment. Even with enormous advancements in capabilities of computers and mobile tools, enhancing computational efficiency of algorithms is necessary to meet the changing demands for quick real time response systems. The finite element method is still the most widely used method of computational structural analysis; a robust, reliable and automated finite element structural analysis module is essential in a modern integrated structural engineering system. To be a part of an automated finite element structural analysis, an efficient adaptive mesh generation scheme based on R-H refinement for the mesh and error estimates from representative strain values at Gauss points is described. A coefficient that depends on the shape of element is used to correct overly distorted elements. Two simple case studies show the validity and computational efficiency. The scheme is appropriate for nonlinear and dynamic problems in earthquake engineering which generally require a huge number of iterative computations.

  • 최근 미국과 유럽 내에서는 자생테러로 인한 테러 공포가 확산되고 있다. 특히 미국 내에서는 아시안을 겨낭한 '묻지마 테러'가 빈번하게 발생함에 따라 심각한 사회 문제로 대두되고 있다. 이렇게 배후 조직이 없거나 조직화된 형태가 아닌 독자적으로 테러를 감행하는 자생적 테러는 전 세계적으로 사회 안전을 위협하고 있다. 국내에서도 국가정책으로 인한 피해 등으로 인해 국가/사회 불만이 폭증하는 계층, 망상적 정신 질환자 등이 잠재적 자생 테러리스트로 분류할 수 있다. 자생테러는 조직적인 테러와 다르게 테러 징후를 사전에 식별하기 힘들고 테러 도구와 테러 대상을 파악하기 쉽지 않다. 그래서 자생테러에 의한 피해를 최소화하기 위한 독자적인 감시 및 추적 시스템 구축이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 잠재적 자생테러의 이상 행동 징후를 식별할 수 있는 기관으로부터 정보를 수집하고 이상 행동의 연속성을 감시하며, 이러한 연속적인 행동이 자생테러로 발생할 수 있는 유형을 판단하고 감시 및 추적할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.

A proposal on SOFC-PEMFC combined system for maritime applications

  • Maritime transportation is going to transfer to alternative fuels as a result of the worldwide demands toward decarbonization and tougher maritime emissions regulations. Methanol is considered as a potential marine fuel, which has the ability to reduce SOx and CO2 emissions, reduce climate change effects, and achieve the objective of green shipping. This work proposes and combines the innovative combination system of direct methanol solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFC), gas turbines (GT), and organic Rankine cycles (ORC) for maritime vessels. The system's primary power source is the SOFC, while the GT and PEMFC use the waste heat from the SOFC to generate useful power and improve the system's ability to use waste heat. Each component's thermodynamics model and the combined system's model are established and examined. The multigeneration system's energy and exergy efficiency are 76.2% and 30.3%, respectively. When compared to a SOFC stand-alone system, the energy efficiency of the GT and PEMFC system is increased by 19.2%. The use of PEMFC linked SOFC has significant efficiency when a ship is being started or maneuvered and a quick response from the power and propulsion plant is required.
