There are many statistical methods of testing the equality of two population variances. Among them, the well-known F test is very sensitive to the normality assumption. Several other tests that do not assume normality have been proposed, but these tests usually need tables of critical values or software for hypotheses testing. McGrath and Yeh (2005) suggested a quick and compact Count Five test requiring only the calculation of the number of extreme points. Since the Count Five test uses only extreme values, this discards some information from the samples, often resulting in a degradation in power. In this paper, an alternative Count Five test using the trimmed mean is proposed and its properties are discussed for some distributions and normal mixtures.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the test-retest of plantar pressures using the F-Scan system over speeds and plantar regions. 6 healthy female subjects in 20's were recruited for the study. Plantar pressure measurements during locomotor activities can provide information concerning foot function, particularly if the timing and magnitude of the loading profile can be related to the location of specific foot structures such as the metatarsal heads. The Tekscan F-Scan system consists of a flexible, 0.18mm thick sole-shape having 1260 pressure sensors, the sensor insole was trimmed to fit the subjects' right. left shoes - sneakers shoes & dress shoes. It was calibrated by the known weight of the test subject standing on one foot. The Tekscan measurements show the insole pressure distribution as a function of the time. This finding has important implications for the development of plantar pressure test protocols where the function of the forefoot is important. According to the result of analysis it is as follows 1) Center of force trajectory in women's dress shoes display direct movement, compare with center of force trajectory in Sneaker shoes displays a little bit curved slow pronation movement. Sneaker shoes in forefoot part display very quick supination movement, therefore, this shoes effects negative effectiveness for ankle's stability Considering center of force trajectory analyzing the more center of force close straight line, the more movement can be quick movement for locomotion. For foot pressure distribution, center of force trajectory in locomotion is better to curved trajectory with pronation movement. So sneaker shoes style is good shoes considering center of pressure distribution trajectory compare with women's dress shoes. 2) Women's dress shoes increased peak pressure in medial, this is effected by high hill's height. The more increased women's dress shoes's height, the more women's peak pressure will increase, pronation can increase compare with before. Supination movement increase, this focused pressure in lateral, also, supination increased more. If the supination movement increased, foot pressure focused in lateral, therefore, it is appeared force distribution in gait direction. This is bad movement in foot's stability. 3) Women's dress shoes in landing phase displayed a long time, this is when women's dress shoes wear, gait movement is unbalance, so, landing phase displayed a long time. For compensation in gait, swing phase quick movement. 4) Women's dress shoes displayed peak pressure distribution in lateral of rearfoot part, Sneakers shoes displayed peak pressure distribution in medial of forefoot part. Its results has good impact absorption compare with women's dress shoes. In forefoot part, sneakers shoes has good propulsive force compare with women's dress shoes.
FMVSS226 Ejection Mitigation Impact Test is usually performed by real vehicle. But it is necessary to perform the test using by Reinforced B.I.W. with considering vehicle developing timing and roof rail airbag (RRAB) supplier capacity. We sometimes need tendency (quick data) instead of slow accurate data to fix RRAB design as proper timing. Test with Reinforced B.I.W. is helpful saving time and cost. But it should be confirmed how much different between vehicle conditioned test result and Reinforced B.I.W. conditioned test result. There are some points to be improved even in the test with vehicle. Understanding of deviation of Reinforced B.I.W. conditioned test result from vehicle conditioned test result is needed to get benefits with using Reinforced B.I.W. conditioned in the test.
This study was performed in order to suggest the possibility of tree species classification using high-resolution QuickBird-2 images spectral characteristics comparison(digital numbers [DNs]) of tree species, tree species classification, and accuracy verification. In October 2010, the tree species of three conifers and eight broad-leaved trees were examined in the areas studied. The spectral characteristics of each species were observed, and the study area was classified by image classification. The results were as follows: Panchromatic and multi-spectral band 4 was found to be useful for tree species classification. DNs values of conifers were lower than broad-leaved trees. Vegetation indices such as normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), soil brightness index (SBI), green vegetation index (GVI) and Biband showed similar patterns to band 4 and panchromatic (PAN); Tukey's multiple comparison test was significant among tree species. However, tree species within the same genus, such as $Pinus$$densiflora-P.$$rigida$ and $Quercus$$mongolica-Q.$$serrata$, showed similar DNs patterns and, therefore, supervised classification results were difficult to distinguish within the same genus; Random selection of validation pixels showed an overall classification accuracy of 74.1% and Kappa coefficient was 70.6%. The classification accuracy of $Pterocarya$$stenoptera$, 89.5%, was found to be the highest. The classification accuracy of broad-leaved trees was lower than expected, ranging from 47.9% to 88.9%. $P.$$densiflora-P.$$rigida$ and $Q.$$mongolica-Q.$$serrata$ were classified as the same species because they did not show significant differences in terms of spectral patterns.
The purpose of this study was to test the influence of restaurant customers' perceived price on their satisfaction and revisit intention through the examination of the mediating effects of emotional responses and the moderating role of coupons. Data was obtained from a survey conducted to 319 quick service restaurant customers and analyzed using SPSS 16 and AMOS 16. The results indicate a full mediation effect of perceived price on customer satisfaction through emotional responses. It was also noted that discount, free and entry coupons did moderate the influence of perceived price on customers' emotional responses. The strongest moderator for perceived price and positive emotions was a discount coupon followed by a free coupon and an entry coupon in order. For perceived price and negative emotions, an entry coupon had a higher moderating effect followed by a discount coupon. The study put forward an appropriate implication to restaurateurs on the use of coupons as well as emotional responses and perceived price that will effectively elevate customers' satisfaction level.
Objectives: This study investigated the microhardness, flexural strength, and color stability of bleach-shade resin composites cured with 3 different light-curing units. Materials and Methods: In this in vitro experimental study, 270 samples were fabricated of bleach and A2 shades of 3 commercial resin composites (Point 4, G-aenial Anterior, and Estelite Sigma Quick). Samples (n = 5 for each trial) were cured with Bluephase N, Woodpecker LED.D, and Optilux 501 units and underwent Vickers microhardness and flexural strength tests. The samples were tested after 24 hours of storage in distilled water. Color was assessed using a spectrophotometer immediately after preparation and 24 hours after curing. Data were analyzed using 3-way analysis of variance and the Tukey test (p ≤ 0.001). Results: Samples cured with Optilux exhibited the highest and those cured with LED.D exhibited the lowest microhardness (p = 0.023). The bleach shade of Point 4 composite cured with Optilux displayed the highest flexural strength, while the same composite and shade cured with Sigma Quick exhibited the lowest (p ≤ 0.001). The color change after 24 hours was greatest for the bleach shade of G-aenial cured with Bluephase N and least for the A2 shade of Sigma Quick cured with Optilux (p ≤ 0.001). Conclusions: Light curing with polywave light-emitting diode (LED) yielded results between or statistically similar to those of quartz-tungsten-halogen and monowave LED in the microhardness and flexural strength of both A2 and bleach shades of resin composites. However, the brands of light-curing devices showed significant differences in color stability.
Purpose: Current testing method for drying rate used in military textiles has different results according to the public testing institute. So the purpose of this study was to suggest the alternative method which secure the reliability of the drying rate test. Methods: We measured the drying rate by various test methods for military clothes 14 species including quick drying function and compared the test results. Also, the collected data through the test was analyzed using one-way ANOVA. The p-value of results was compared by various testing institutions. Results: The results of this study are as follow; A deviation occurred among the testing institutions in original test method(KS K 0815). Whereas it is verified that there is no deviation among the institutions in 5% significance level by another test method(ISO 17617). Also it would increase work efficiency by reducing the testing time required to test by using ISO 17617. Conclusion: Based on the results, we can suggest the reliable test method of the drying rate.

Test methodology is diversity by devices and the number of test pattern is tremendous because the digital circuit includes TTL and CMOS family ICs as well as high density devices such as ROM and RAM. Accordingly, the quick and effective test strategy is required to enhance the test productivity. This paper proposes the test strategy which is able to be applied efficiently to the diversity devices on the digital circuit board by analyzing the structure and characteristic of the digital device. Especially, this test strategy detects the faulted digital device or the faulted digital circuit on the digital board using SSA(Serial Signature Analysis) technique based on the polynomial division theory The SSA technique identifies the faults by comparing the reminder from good device with reminder from the tested device. At this time, the reminder is obtained by enforcing the data stream obtained from output pins of the tested device on the LFSR(Linear Feedback Shift Register) representing the characteristic equation. Also, the method to obtain the optimal signature analysis circuit is explained by furnishing the short bit input streams to the long bit input streams to the LFSR having 8, 12, 16, 20bit input/output pins and by analyzing the occurring probability of error which is impossible to detect. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed test strategy is verified by simulating the stuck at 1 errors or stuck at 0 errors for several devices on typical 8051 digital board.
This paper describes an efficient method for unsupervised speaker adaptation. This method is based on selecting a subset of speakers who are acoustically close to a test speaker, and calculating adapted model parameters according to the previously stored sufficient HMM statistics of the selected speakers' data. In this method, only a few unsupervised test speaker's data are required for the adaptation. Also, by using the sufficient HMM statistics of the selected speakers' data, a quick adaptation can be done. Compared with a pre-clustering method, the proposed method can obtain a more optimal speaker cluster because the clustering result is determined according to test speaker's data on-line. Experiment results show that the proposed method attains better improvement than MLLR from the speaker independent model. Moreover the proposed method utilizes only one unsupervised sentence utterance, while MLLR usually utilizes more than ten supervised sentence utterances.

To control the torque of the IPMSM, a lookup table is generally used in control system because of its nonlinear characteristics. However, the method of generating the lookup table data has the disadvantage of having difficulty accurately analyzing the changing parameters, generating the current or magnetic flux map is complicated and long test time taken due to motor temperature differences at each test points. In this paper, on the basis of the electromagnetic field design of IPMSM, we devised an electromagnetic field-based magnetic flux map model that can compensate for the pre-generated magnetic flux map through a quick and simple test.
