  • This research was done to gain the health information in one of the target areas(rural area) of the Korea University Community Health Project, and to improve and standardize the methodology of the health interview survey. There were two types of questions;one was the simple open-ended question and the other was check list in the interview survey for a total of 1,406 inhabitants. And so the result obtained from the above survey was analysed. The results as follows; 1) The morbidity rate in general was 11.2% by simple open-ended question and 32.5% by check list during recent 20 days in interview method. 2) Women had higher morbidity rate in both kinds of method. 3) The most prevalent diseases in the interview method using check list were the ones of the musculo-skeletal system and connective tissue (22.5%), and diseases of the respiratory system (19.8%) and digestive system (13.7%) were in order of frequency. 4) By the position in the family, housewives had highest morbidity rate in the interview method unrespectedly, and the reason seemed that the respondents were houseweives themselves and the morbidity rate was the one by spell not by person. But morbidity rate by the socio-economic status had no significant difference in both methods. 5) The agreement rate on simple open-ended question and check list was 72.5%, but if limiting respondents themselves only, the rate was falled to 54%. 6) The morbidities were diverse in the review of the results of previous morbidity surveies, but the morbidity rate was higher and less variable in case of using check list and getting the replies individually than using simple open-ended question and proxy respondents.

Eighteen pre-service teachers who had completed high school Chemistry II coursework were selected to participate in the study. Participants answered a four question survey to measure their scientific knowledge and conceptions of this phenomenon. Each answer was qualitatively analyzed to determine whether they have 'scientific conceptions' or 'quasi-scientific conceptions' or 'misconceptions'. The results from the study are as follows: First, it was showed that none of the eighteen participants had 'scientific conceptions', six had 'quasi-scientific conceptions' and eight had 'misconceptions' about the caused effect when $CaCl_2$ is scattered on the ice. Second, it was found that three participants had 'scientific conceptions', eight had 'quasi-scientific conceptions' and two had 'misconceptions' for the second survey question. Third, ten out of eighteen participants demonstrated 'scientific conceptions' about the phenomenon of salt water freezing. Fourth, only three of eighteen participants illustrated appropriate 'scientific conceptions' for the fourth survey question. Fifth, of all participants, none answered more than three questions correctly, and only three participants answered any combination of two questions correctly. Based on the findings of this study, five explanatory models were developed. And the models were proposed for pre-service teachers to enhance their understanding of the freezing point depression phenomenon.

In a follow-up survey of 86 respondents who used line bisection tests as the most commonly used test, the majority (82 responses, 95.3%2) were found to use the 20-line test paper. In question about the familiarity and education experience for test manual, only 20 responses (23.2%) and 3 responses (3.5%) answered 'Yes'. In a question about the experience of a manual and the article for the manual, 25 responses (29.1%) answered 'Yes'. In the question regarding the separation of EN and AN on the unilateral neglect test, 44 responses (31.9%) were 'distinction' and 94 responses (68.1%) were 'no distinction'. • It is very vital for the presidential preference not only to be a political achievement of the president himself, but also to be an influential base of people-related policy and its implementation. The purpose of this study is to provide the newly developing ideas to compose an appropriate question and to point out the present problems in the utilization of survey results. At first, it turned out to be inappropriate to make a question for evaluation of presidential job approval in the perspective of questionnaire planning. As the respondents were not informed of what the president did, so they were more likely not to know whether the president did well or not. Secondly, the correlation analysis has been made between the evaluation question of the presidential job approval and policy-related questions including the direct one for the presidential preference in the aspect of statistical analysis. Through this process, evaluation of the presidential job approval is not accountable and the direct question for the presidential preference is at best explainable. In conclusion, it seems more persuasive to compare the statistical outcome of the presidential preference which has been derived of to the high rating what the respondents think comprehensively not depending on a subjective decision by mass media.
