New white-light-emitting $SrSnO_3:Dy^{3+}$ phosphors were prepared using different concentrations of $Dy^{3+}$ ions via a solid-state reaction. The phase structure, luminescence, and morphological properties of the synthesized phosphors were investigated using X-ray diffraction analysis, fluorescence spectrophotometry, and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. All the synthesized phosphors crystallized in an orthorhombic phase with a major (020) diffraction peak, irrespective of the concentration of $Dy^{3+}$ ions. The excitation spectra were composed of a broad band centered at 298 nm, ascribed to the $O^2-Dy^{3+}$ charge transfer band and five weak bands in the range of 350~500 nm. The emission spectra of $SrSnO_3:Dy^{3+}$ phosphors consisted of three bands centered at 485, 577, and 665 nm, corresponding to the $^4F_{9/2}{\rightarrow}^6H_{15/2}$, $^4F_{9/2}{\rightarrow}^6H_{13/2}$, and $^4F_{9/2}{\rightarrow}^6H_{11/2}$ transitions of $Dy^{3+}$, respectively. As the $Dy^{3+}$ concentration increased from 1 to 15 mol%, the intensities of all the emission bands gradually increased, reached maxima at 15 mol% of $Dy^{3+}$ ions, and then decreased rapidly at 20 mol% due to concentration quenching. The critical distance between neighboring $Dy^{3+}$ ions for concentration quenching was calculated to be $9.4{\AA}$. The optimal white light emission by the $SrSnO_3:Dy^{3+}$ phosphors was obtained when the $Dy^{3+}$ concentration was 15 mol%.

The fluorescence intensity of DNA-intercalated ethidium with [ethidium]/[DNA base] being 0.005 was quenched upon the binding of another intercalating ligand, meso-tetrakis(N-methylpyridinium-4-yl)porphyrin (TMPyP). Addition of $Ca^{2+}$ enhanced the quenching efficiency. The range of separations between donor and acceptor molecules, within which total quenching occurs, was calculated using a one-dimensional resonance energy transfer mechanism to be 9.5 base-pairs or $32.3{\AA}$ in the absence of $Ca^{2+}$ ions. The distance increased to 18.7 base-pairs or about $63.6{\AA}$ in the presence $100{\mu}M$$Ca^{2+}$. Considering that (1) $Ca^{2+}$ had little effect on the binding modes of ethidium and TMPyP, which was investigated by reduced linear dichroism and (2) spectral overlap between the emission spectrum of ethidium and the absorption spectrum of TMPyP was maintained in the presence of $Ca^{2+}$, contributions from orientation factor and spectral overlap to $Ca^{2+}$-induced enhancement in DNA mediated energy transfer was limited. Although there is no direct evidence, electron transfer along the DNA stem may accompany the observed fluorescence quenching. In this respect, DNA bound $Ca^{2+}$ act as a partially conducting medium.
The interaction of bilobalide (BB) and ginkgolides B (GB) with bovine serum albumin (BSA) was investigated by fluorescent technique and UV/vis absorption spectroscopy. The results showed that BB and GB could intensively quench the fluorescence of BSA through a static quenching procedure. The binding constants (Ka) and the average binding distance between the donor (BSA) and the acceptor (ginkgolides) were obtained ($r_{BB}$ = 5.33 nm and $r_{GB}$ = 4.20 nm) by the theory of non-radiation energy transfer, and then the thermodynamic parameters such as ${\Delta}S^0$ (0.17-0.32 kJ/mol), ${\Delta}G^0$ (-20.76 ~ -17.79 kJ/mol) and ${\Delta}H^0$ (32.47-76.52 kJ/mol) could be calculated, respectively. All these results revealed that the interaction of BB and GB with BSA were driven mainly by hydrophobie force. The synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy was applied to examine the effect of two ginkgolides on the configuration of BSA. The configuration alteration of BSA could be induced by the hydrophobicitv environment of tyrosine with the increase of the drug concentration.
$BaMoO_4:Tb^{3+}$ phosphor powders were synthesized with different concentrations of $Tb^{3+}$ ions using the solid-state reaction method. XRD patterns showed that all the phosphors, irrespective of the concentration of $Tb^{3+}$ ions, had tetragonal systems with two main (112) and (004) diffraction peaks. The excitation spectra of the $Tb^{3+}$-doped $BaMoO_4$ phosphors consisted of an intense broad band centered at 290 nm in the range of 230-330 nm and two weak bands. The former broad band corresponded to the $4f^8{\rightarrow}4f^75d^1$ transition of $Tb^{3+}$ ions; the latter two weak bands were ascribed to the $^7F_2{\rightarrow}^5D_3$ (471 nm) and $^7F_6{\rightarrow}^5D_4$ (492 nm) transitions of $Tb^{3+}$. The main emission band, when excited at 290 nm, showed a strong green band at 550 nm arising from the $^5D_4{\rightarrow}^7F_5$ transition of $Tb^{3+}$ ions. As the concentration of $Tb^{3+}$ increased from 1 to 10 mol%, the intensities of all the emission lines gradually increased, approached maxima at 10 mol% of $Tb^{3+}$ ions, and then showed a decreasing tendency with further increase in the $Tb^{3+}$ ions due to the concentration quenching effect. The critical distance between neighboring $Tb^{3+}$ ions for concentration quenching was calculated and found to be $12.3{\AA}$, which indicates that dipole-dipole interaction was the main mechanism for the concentration quenching of the $^5D_4{\rightarrow}^7F_5$ transition of $Tb^{3+}$ in the $BaMoO_4:Tb^{3+}$ phosphors.

Photo-/electroactive donor-acceptor (D-A) chromophores were synthesized and investigated for energy- and electron-transfer (ET/eT) properties, for which the chromophores are supramolecularly integrated by encapsulation with helical amylose, rendering the chromophores aggregation-free and rigidified along the helical axis and thus, a remarkably enhanced fluorescence intensity. Fluorescence quenching studies indicated that the helical encapsulation gives the ET/eT a clear D-A distance dependence unlike with the encapsulation-free counterparts, being reflected in their florescence decay profile. Another notable difference is that the helical supramolecule of the chromophores forms a perpendicularly oriented self-assembly. Transport behavior in the solid state will be also discussed.
After burner which is main part of inert gas generator(IGG) is studied for the development of IGG. The results of many experimental equations are applied to estimate characteristics of the spray nozzle and evaporation of spray, and selected the optimum design point of after burner. The selected design point of after burner are validated experimentally through the pilot plant of after burner. The flame stability is favorable at design point(150mm), that distance from stabilizer to nozzle. The emission of $NO_x$ and CO is lower than gas turbine combustor which was used in primary combustor.

Flame characteristics of a methane-air premixed flame stabilized in a heat-regenerative small combustor were investigated experimentally. A small combustor having two counter-current shallow channels and a combustion space at one side was developed. In which the channel-gap was less the ordinary quenching distance of a stoichiometric methane-air premixed flame. Two design parameters of channel gap and thickness of the middle wall, which is located between two channels for unburned and burned gases, were varied. Flame stabilization conditions and characteristic flame behaviors were experimentally examined. Conclusively, Blowout conditions were governed mostly by the scale of the combustion space, and flashback conditions into the channel are dominated by the channel gap. Surface temperatures of the combustor were between 100 to 500$^{\circ}C$. Additionally, two distinctive flame stabilization modes of radiation and well-stirred?reaction were observed and their applicability was discussed.
Hydrogen gas has several merits such as lower ignition energy, wide flammability and shorter quenching distance. It leads to high thermal efficiency but backfire occurrence. In this study, feasibility of expansion of BFL(Back-Fire Limit) equivalence ratio and combustion characteristics by a dilution of hydrogen fuel are experimently examined by using experimental heavy duty single cylinder hydrogen fueled engine. As results, it is found that BFL equivalence ratio is expanded to rich range and torque is increased.
Meso-scale combustion is defined as combustion phenomena within limited characteristic length scales that are comparable with the laminar flame length scales. In the laminar flame theory, four representative length scales have been involved; i.e., a reaction layer thickness, a thermal layer thickness, a quenching distance, and a Markstein length. When the effects of these length scales on the flame characteristics are understood, the laminar flame theories can be clarified. Therefore, a study on the meso-scale combustion phenomena should not be thought as just a specific phenomena occurring in an exceptional combustion condition. Instead, all combustion phenomena within meso-scale spaces need to be explained by our knowledge. During this challenge, our understanding on laminar flame structures can be extended. Considering that most turbulent combustion phenomena in engineering application are still have local laminar flame structures, studies on laminar flame structures need to be re-visited especially in academic aspects.
This paper present result of numerical simulation of premixed combustion around a triangle Bluff Body. And a numerical simulation of a premixed flame stabilization by a bluff body was performed using LES Model. The calculated results from the LES showed a good agreement with experiment data than k-model. Premixture combustion has flammability limit, quenching distance, smallest ignition energy has the combustion quality of the back. Bluff body makes a recirculation zone. Therefor velocity of behind bluff body is very slow. It was caused by slowly position speed and the fire occurred after the Bluff Body. Occurrence of fire it made the waste gas of high speed and the thrust made well.
