Standard Model for Mobile Forensic Image Development

  • As mobile forensics has emerged as an essential technique, the demand for technology development, education and training is increasing, wherein images are used. Academic societies in South Korea and national institutions in the US and the UK are leading the Mobile Forensic Image development. However, compared with disks, images developed in a mobile environment are few cases and have less active research, causing a waste of time, money, and manpower. Mobile Forensic Images are also difficult to trust owing to insufficient verification processes. Additionally, in South Korea, there are legal issues involving the Telecommunications Business Act and the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information. Therefore, in this study, we requested a review of a standard model for the development of Mobile Forensic Image from experts and designed an 11-step development model. The steps of the model are as follows: a. setting of design directions, b. scenario design, c. selection of analysis techniques, d. review of legal issues, e. creation of virtual information, f. configuring system settings, g. performing imaging as per scenarios, h. Developing a checklist, i. internal verification, j. external verification, and k. confirmation of validity. Finally, we identified the differences between the mobile and disk environments and discussed the institutional efforts of South Korea. This study will also provide a guideline for the development of professional quality verification and proficiency tests as well as technology and talent-nurturing tools. We propose a method that can be used as a guide to secure pan-national trust in forensic examiners and tools. We expect this study to strengthen the mobile forensics capabilities of forensic examiners and researchers. This research will be used for the verification and evaluation of individuals and institutions, contributing to national security, eventually.

ISO/IEC 국제표준에 기반한 국가연구개발사업 품질측정모델에 관한 연구 (A Quality Model of National R&D Projects based on ISO/IEC Standards)

  • The number of national research and development(R&D) projects have been continually increased, and it is necessary that the efficiency of investment of R&D projects have been improved during the last two decades. also the government has improved national R&D process and supporting tools for the projects. However, it is not enough to develop a quality model to evaluate the projects systematically. Therefore, a quality model for national R&D projects need to be revised. The quality model for the projects should be based on the global standard(ISO/IEC 9126). In this paper, the authors proposed a quality model for national R&D projects and took a case study for verification of the quality model. The quality model is defined in terms of functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, portability and maintainability. Also, the authors suggest metrics for measuring the quality of products or services. finally, The productivity and quality of national R&D projects will be improved by the quality model.

  • A objective quality assessment for the evaluation performance of a video transmission system as a basic step for construction of digital video transmission system between the spots and headquarter. Due to a limit of an analog video transmission system and the developments of various digital media and digital video standards, the need of introduce of a digital system are increased gradual1y, At this points. previously performance evaluations are performed and the quality assessment is the most important thing. We can be divided quality assessment method by the subjective quality assessment and objective quality assessment. The subjective quality assessment method has some problems which are required high cost and much time to evaluate the quality, And because existing objective quality assessment method such that PSNR are based on an analog form, the correlation with subjective data is very low. Therefore we design a new objective quality assessment method using Gabor wavelet transform reflecting HVS(Human Visual System), Designed objective quality assessment method is superior to other objective method such that PSNR or EPSNR In this paper, we proposed objective quality assessment using Gabor wavelet can be used for performance evaluation and verification of video transmission system.

전자기록의 진본 평가 시스템 모형 연구 (The Model of Appraisal Method on Authentic Records)

  • 전자기록은 평가 시 가치 평가와 진본 여부 평가를 함께 수행해야 한다. 그간 기록의 가치 평가에 대해서는 여러 논의가 진행되어 왔지만 진본 평가에 대해서는 그러하지 못했다. 이 글에서는 진본 평가가 기록관리 각 과정의 어느 국면에서 필요하고 그 구체적인 방법은 무엇인가를 밝히고 있다. 대체로 입수단계에서는, 생산기관에서의 재생산 직후의 일치 검증, 수신된 전자기록의 품질 및 일치 검증, 입수기록패키지와 보존기록패키지의 일치 검증이 필요하다. 저장단계에서는 매체수록된 보존기록패키지의 일치 검증, 저장된 전자기록의 손상여부 검사와 복구가, 각종 처리의 단계에서는 관리기준값 변경 처리 후의 적절성 평가, 기록철 분류구조 변경 후의 평가, 마이그레이션 이후의 일치평가 및 기타 주기적 무결성 평가, 배부기록의 일치 평가 등이 요구된다. 이러한 진본 평가를 위해서는 일치검증평가, 내용적 동일성 확인 평가, 메타데이터 요소의 적절성 평가, 불법적 변경여부의 확인 평가, 물리적 상태평가 등의 방법이 적용되어야 한다.

대청호 저수지 수질해석을 해석을 위한 CE-QUAL-W2 모형의 검보정 (Calibration and Verification of CE-QUAL-W2 Model for Measuring Water Quality in the Daecheong Reservoir)

  • This paper aims to understand the effects of a turbidity flow intrusion on eutrophication in Daecheong Dam Reservoir. CE-QUAL-W2, a two-dimensional hydrodynamic and water quality model, is applied. The elevation of the reservoir water surface is used to validate the hydrodynamic model parameters and maximum fluctuations in the water surface elevations reaches about 1 m in the reservoir. During the heavy storm season, July, the thermocline submerged to less than 30 m below the surface. The thickness of the thermocline also reduced to 10 to 15 m. While the average TSS in June, the beginning of the monsoon was still low but it peaked in July due to heavy rainfall. Vertical profiles of the TSS regime in July indicated higher concentration in upper water layers and then the regime moves gradually downward in accordance with the time lapse. Due to the dam spillway opening, high concentrations of TSS attributed to storm turbidity ascended to the upper water layer by following the upward current movement and then, the regime precipitated to a layer below 30 to 40 m after September.

  • This study analyzed the consumer behavior on the environmentally Benefical clothing through the substantial verification, which was based on theoretical reviews. It also aimed to provided marketing aspects on the design, raw material, product quality, price, and brand recognition of environmentally Benefical clothing. For the substantial, verification following questions were developed. 1) Consumers' interests in purchasing environmentally Benefical clothing. 2) The consumer behavior on the environmental factors of the design, raw material, product quality, price, and brand recognition of environmentally Benefical clothing. 3) The changes in the consumer behavior on negative aspects of environmentally Benefical clothing. 4) The reasons of unfavorable behavior of environmentally unconscious consumers on environmentally Benefical clothing. Substantial data was collected through a survey, conducted on two hundreds and twenty-nine male and female students in graduate and undergraduate schools, resided in Seoul. The collected data was analyzed with Statistical Package for Social Science for Windows, version 8.0, and X2 and T-test were performed. Those results and issues, developed in the analysis of consumer behavior on the environmentally Benefical clothing, could be utilized in the environmental management and the marketing activity for the clothing companies.

한강하류뷰에서의 2차원 수질모형의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Two Dimensional Water Quality Model on the Downstream of Han River)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유한요소법에 의한 이차원 오염물 이송에 대한 등수역학적 수치모형을 개발하는 것으로서 개발된 모형을 이용하여 지류와 폐수처리장으로부터의 오염물이 주하도로 유입되는 경우에 대한 수질해석을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는, 합리적인 매개변수산출을 위한 보정과 모형의 신뢰성과 정확도를 위한 검증을 수행하였다. 또한, 실제 유역인 한강하류부에 본 모형을 적용한 결과 하도를 따라서 실제적인 오염물 분포양상을 재현하였으며 계산값과 실측값의 비교에서 잘 일치하고 있었다.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 우리 도서관이 생산해 내고 있는 목록의 가치를 '유용성'의 관점에서 논의하는데 있다. 특히, 도서관 이용자의 관점에서 도서관목록이 그들의 정보요구를 충족시키는데 얼마나 유용하게 활용되고 있는지에 대해 실증적으로 분석해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 목록이용자들의 견해를 중시하면서 도서관목록의 유용성을 측정해 낼 수 있는 체계적인 기준을 도출하였다. 그리고 이러한 기준에 근거하여 현 단계 도서관목록의 유용성을 직접 측정하였다. 유용성에 대한 측정 결과는 구체적인 사례와 함께 제시하였으며, 유용성을 저하시키는 요인을 상세하게 설명하였다.

혼합물 소재의 난연성 향상을 위한 실험연구 사례 (A Case Study of Enhancing Flame Retardancy of Mixture Material)

  • Purpose: In this paper we present a case study of applying quick and easy experimental design approach to develop a Halogen free flame retardant material for cellular phone charger cable. Methods: We employ sequential experimentation of mixture design, verification design, and factorial design. A quick and easy approach is adopted based on data investigation and graphical method instead of strict statistical analysis, which helped enhancing smooth communication with the engineers and speeding up the development process. Results: Flame retardant material in pellet type produced from the optimal condition is transported to the customer and tested, to pass the customer retardancy criteria. Conclusion: The quick and easy experimental design approach is considered to be useful in this case study.

팔당호 상류수계에 위치한 환경기초시설의 인 기여도 분석 (Analysis of the Phosphorus Contribution Rate by the Environment Fundamental Facilities Located in Upstream Basin of Paldang Lake)

  • The phosphorus contribution rate on water quality of North and South-Han River, and Gyungan-cheon by effluents from environmental fundamental facilities located in upstream basin of Paldang Lake were analyzed. QUALKO2 model was selected for the analysis of contrubution rate, and was constructed considering the location of the main point sources and all facilities in study area. The pollutant loading rates and arrival rates for each unit-watershed in study area were calculated for model operation. For the calibration and verification of model, 2006 water quality dataset from Ministry of Environment and the effluent loadings of the environmental fundamental facilities were used. Reliability Index (RI) method was used to estimate the validity of the results of calibration and verification. The phosphorous contribution rate(%) for each environmental fundamental facility were analyzed by excepting the effluent loading of the facility. The contribution rate was analyzed for each facility, facility groups separated by each main river and each unit-watershed. The main results of analysis for each facility are as follows; (i) the phosphorous contribution of B1 facility is 50%, which is the highest phosphorous contribution rate among those of nine facilities in the North-Han River Basin; (ii) the highest phosphorous contribution is 55.6% from J facility among eight facilities in the Gyungan Stream Basin; (iii) 40% from E treatment facility is the highest among those of twenty eight facilities in the South-Han River Basin.
