There is a rapid increase of child care centers due to the growth of women's social activities and a nuclear family. Child care center is an important part of community facilities for apartment housing complex. This study aims to collect the basic data required to develop the planning standards for the child care centers. This research limited the child care centers which is situated to permanent rental housing complex. Therefore, this research presents the basic design guidelines for the space composition planning of child care centers by grasping the special quality connected with the space composition of child care centers among the community facilities that is located in the permanent rental apartment housing complex.

This paper presents the design and evaluation of a tiltrotor attitude controller. The implemented response type of the command augumentation system is Attitude Command Attitude Hold. The controller architecture can alleviate the need for extensive gain scheduling and thus has the potential to reduce development time. The control algorithm is constructed using the feedback linearization technique. And an on-line adaptive architecture that employs a neural network compensating the model inversion error caused by the deficiency of full knowledge tiltrotor aircraft dynamics is applied to augment the attitude control system. The use of Lyapunov stability analysis guarantees boundedness of the tracking error and network parameters. The performance of the controller is evaluated against ADS-33E criteria, using the nonlinear tiltrotor simulation code for Bell TR301 developed by KARI. (Korea Aerospace Research Institute)

The medicine is used for diagnosis, treatment or prevention of disease and consequently has an important influence upon human life and health. Its effectiveness and safety must be guaranteed. In order to achieve the facility that meets GMP, KFDA has provided standards for quality assurance of the manufacture, examination and tests of medical supplies. The result of this study were as follows : the GMP facilities are divided into work, lab/test and storage spaces, and the systematic corridor. The clean rooms are mainly installed in work and lab/test spaces, and maintain class 10,000 in average. The individual space for the procedures that requires class 100 is not provided as a separate division. Instead, they are performed in the clean bench of the laboratory.

Cities should be developed and managed deliberately since reckless development and selfish expansion deteriorate the quality of life in the cities by creating various problems in transportation, residence and environment. In particular, the semi-agricultural zones have been designated in order to address such problems as the overpopulation caused by the influx of people into the cities and promote balanced regional development and eco-friendly cultivation of the land across the nation. But the problems of metropolitan areas, such as the overpopulation and lack of infrastructure, are spreading even to the semi-agricultural zones, which should be the last areas to be developed into cities. We should blame the indolence of our policies on land first, rather than the selfish cities that slip from the grip of the law. This study concludes that the self-agricultural zones should be developed and managed with plans by the public sector rather than the autonomous development by the private sector.

Culture has long been associated with and advanced by stone as observed in prehistoric dolmen, menhir, megalith monuments, memo-rial stones, and others. The closs association of monuments is seen even in an earlist form of culture and is witnessed to evolve with human history. Korea, with its large quality granite repository, has been active with granite-based monuments in various forms of towers, bridges, and larterns. These stone structures are so abundant throughout Korea that Korea has been called the country of stone tower in Asia. With this historical background, we survey these Korean memorial stone and monuments, found at roadsides, momerial buildings, village entrances, scenic places, schools, sermon halls, public pleasure ground, and other common places. Based on installation orientation, location, and size, a particular emphasis is on the structural value, meaning, beauty, and function of these momnuments coupled with trees, shrubs, water and appropriative landscapes.

In this paper, we introduce a reliable, scalable, and cost-effective switchless wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) network based on a quality-of-service supporting reservation-based medium access control (MAC) protocol. The protocol not only provides both packet and circuit switching but also supports multicasting. The network efficiency is significantly increased by spatially reusing wavelengths and exploiting multiple free spectral ranges (FSRs) of arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) employed in the architecture. We have demonstrated the feasibility of this architecture by simulating in $Optsim^{TM}$.

To select a most desired mix proportion that meets required performances according to the quality of recycled aggregate, a large number of experimental works must be carried out. This paper proposed a new design method for the mix proportion of recycled aggregate concrete to reduce the number of trial mixes. Genetic algorithm is adapted for the method, which has been an optimization technique to solve the multi-criteria problem through the simulated biological evolutionary process. Fitness functions for the required properties of concrete such as slump, density, strength, elastic modulus, carbonation resistance, price and carbon dioxide emission were developed based on statistical analysis on conventional data or adapted from various early studies. Then these fitness functions were applied in the genetic algorithm. As a result, several optimum mix proportions for recycled aggregate concrete that meets required performances were obtained.

This study investigates great potential of architectural representation drawings for architects as well as designers to realize their design concept into visual forms. In 1988, an exhibition called "Deconstruction in Architecture" at Modern Art Museum, New York, was an important turning point in design representation. The study examines design drawings of architects of deconstructivism to analyze new attitudes toward building forms and programs in contemporary architecture. The study found in the drawings that initially, collages in many different types are often utilized to express simultaneous time and space. Secondly, section drawings become more important to explain ambiguous and complex floor system than before. Thirdly, cinematic montages are utilized to express indeterminate or loose programs. Fourthly, diagrams are utilized to visualize initial conditions and clues of design solution. The study concludes that design drawings are not only representation media admitting of changes and progress but also tools of design creation. creation.

This paper proposes a novel transport network architecture for the next generation network (NGN) based on the optical burst switching technology. The proposed architecture aims to provide efficient delivery of various types of network traffic by satisfying their quality-of-service constraints. To this end, we have developed a soft-state bandwidth reservation mechanism, which enables NGN transport nodes to dynamically reserve bandwidth needed for active data burst flows. The performance of the proposed mechanism is evaluated by means of numerical analysis and NS2 simulation. Our results show that the packet delay is kept within the constraint for each traffic flow and the burst loss rate is remarkably improved.
