A Study on the Difference of Consumers' Recognition for Education Service Quality (교육 서비스 품질에 대한 소비자 인식의 차이에 관한 연구 -패션 관련 전공을 중심으로-)

  • By using the formerly established SERVQUAL Model, measurement methods and determinant variables in the other papers for the Service Quality, this study first focuses to find out the difference consumers' evaluation between before-experience and after-experience of the educational service, and second, to examine the difference consumers' evaluation between before-experience and after-experience of the educational service according to pre-recognition degree for the subjected educational service quality. The results are derived as follows. 1. As a consequence of the simulation, the consumers distinctly tend to recognize importance of human concern and visual aspect after experience of educational service. 2. Between the group with more pre-recognition degree and less pre-recognition degree for the subjected educational service quality, have no difference.

Fingerprint Image Quality Assessment for On-line Fingerprint Recognition (온라인 지문 인식 시스템을 위한 지문 품질 측정)

  • Fingerprint image quality checking is one of the most important issues in on-line fingerprint recognition because the recognition performance is largely affected by the quality of fingerprint images. In the past, many related fingerprint quality checking methods have typically considered the local quality of fingerprint. However, It is necessary to estimate the global quality of fingerprint to judge whether the fingerprint can be used or not in on-line recognition systems. Therefore, in this paper, we propose both local and global-based methods to calculate the fingerprint quality. Local fingerprint quality checking algorithm considers both the condition of the input fingerprints and orientation estimation errors. The 2D gradients of the fingerprint images were first separated into two sets of 1D gradients. Then,the shapes of the PDFs(Probability Density Functions) of these gradients were measured in order to determine fingerprint quality. And global fingerprint quality checking method uses neural network to estimate the global fingerprint quality based on local quality values. We also analyze the matching performance using FVC2002 database. Experimental results showed that proposed quality check method has better matching performance than NFIQ(NIST Fingerprint Image Quality) method.

Multiple-Classifier Combination based on Image Degradation Model for Low-Quality Image Recognition (저화질 영상 인식을 위한 화질 저하 모델 기반 다중 인식기 결합)

  • In this paper, we propose a multiple classifier combination method based on image degradation modeling to improve recognition performance on low-quality images. Using an image degradation model, it generates a set of classifiers each of which is specialized for a specific image quality. In recognition, it combines the results of the recognizers by weighted averaging to decide the final result. At this time, the weight of each recognizer is dynamically decided from the estimated quality of the input image. It assigns large weight to the recognizer specialized to the estimated quality of the input image, but small weight to other recognizers. As the result, it can effectively adapt to image quality variation. Moreover, being a multiple-classifier system, it shows more reliable performance then the single-classifier system on low-quality images. In the experiment, the proposed multiple-classifier combination method achieved higher recognition rate than multiple-classifier combination systems not considering the image quality or single classifier systems considering the image quality.

  • This study demonstrates some major traits of digital contents as information, playfulness, individuality, perceived recognition as perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, relationship quality as satisfaction and commitment, user behavior as use intention. To make an empirical analysis the study, it is hypothesized that traits of digital contents and perceived recognition, traits of digital contents and relationship quality, perceived recognition and relationship quality, relationship quality and user behavior. Proposed theoretical model was based on TAM and was tested by the structure equation model for validity, credibility, goodness of fit. The major finding of this study can be summarized as follows, traits of digital contents are positively affected by perceived recognition, satisfaction in relationship quality and use intention via perceived recognition. Theoretical implication of this study are as follows. First, users wanted to choice only needed information. Second, users recognized digital contents as a part of life. So, user's ability is very important in this environment. According to this, business related with or interested in digital contents must have developed digital contents in variety aspect. Users must have concerned using digital contents, also.

  • Character recognition has already been studied in a lot of fields. But, if input-characters have noise in practical application system, the ability decreases markedly. Special consideration should be taken into account in the recognition of blurred data. This paper proposes low-quality printed character recognition methods that extracts blurred parts of the character image, deletes them and carry out accurate character recognition.

The Analysis of Casual Model of Quality of Life for Employed Wives and Unemployed Wives (취업주부와 비취업 주부의 삶의 질에 대한 인과모형분석)

  • This study present s and tests a casual model of cohesion adaptability the level of stress recognition coping starategies and quality of life for employed wives and unemployed wives. For the data set 205 employed wives and 200 unemployed wives living in Pusan were chosen. The data were analyzed using M, SD, t-test multiple regression and path analysis. The findings of this study are as follows; First There level of stress recognition and quality of life are higher for employes wives than unemployed wives. Cohesion is higher for employed wives. Whereas adaptability is higher for unemployed wives than employed wives. Employes wives are greater use of coping starategies than unemployed wives. Second For employes wives adaptability the level of stress recognition and coping starategies have significant direct effect on quality of life. Besides wife's level of education age of the youngest child working hours employment motivation and cohesion have significant indirect effect on quality of life. For unemployed wives cohesion adaptability and level of stress recognition have signficant direct effect on quality of life. Besides wife's level of education number of children religion and husband's housework participation are indirectly associated with quality of life. From these results the proposed model is generally supported by the data.

Recognition and Importance-Satisfaction of Apple Processed Products (사과가공품의 인지도 및 중요도-만족도 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze consumer recognition, perceived importance, and satisfaction to create a new apple processed product and to promote its consumption. Data were collected from 527 men and women living throughout Korea through a self-administrated questionnaire. Frequencies, one-way analysis of variance, and Duncan's multiple range were conducted using SPSS v. 17.0 software. Recognition of juice and drinks, milk and dairy products, apple jam, and seasoning was high, while that of the other products was low. Consumer perceived importance of products was higher than consumer satisfaction of products. Quality preservation attributes were sanitation, taste, flavor, place of origin, and convenience of purchase. Attributes for improved consumer post-purchase satisfaction after purchasing were content of apple, quality of apple, price, and certificate of quality. The attributes of content of apple and certificate of quality were statistically different by consumer age.

A MFCC-based CELP Speech Coder for Server-based Speech Recognition in Network Environments (네트워크 환경에서 서버용 음성 인식을 위한 MFCC 기반 음성 부호화기 설계)

  • Existing standard speech coders can provide speech communication of high quality while they degrade the performance of speech recognition systems that use the reconstructed speech by the coders. The main cause of the degradation is that the spectral envelope parameters in speech coding are optimized to speech quality rather than to the performance of speech recognition. For example, mel-frequency cepstral coefficient (MFCC) is generally known to provide better speech recognition performance than linear prediction coefficient (LPC) that is a typical parameter set in speech coding. In this paper, we propose a speech coder using MFCC instead of LPC to improve the performance of a server-based speech recognition system in network environments. However, the main drawback of using MFCC is to develop the efficient MFCC quantization with a low-bit rate. First, we explore the interframe correlation of MFCCs, which results in the predictive quantization of MFCC. Second, a safety-net scheme is proposed to make the MFCC-based speech coder robust to channel error. As a result, we propose a 8.7 kbps MFCC-based CELP coder. It is shown from a PESQ test that the proposed speech coder has a comparable speech quality to 8 kbps G.729 while it is shown that the performance of speech recognition using the proposed speech coder is better than that using G.729.

  • This study presents how the recognition of nail care shop's SNS information and nail care service's quality affects to customer's satisfaction, with 257 women who is aged between 20 and 50, with survey. The recognition of nail care shop's SNS information is comprised with understanding, utilization, and loyalty. The recognition of nail care service's quality is comprised with external service, internal service, and the service attitude of employee. All the factors are verified with feasibility study and reliability test. The information about nail care service can be found at the internet and SNS most. The recognition of nail care shop's SNS information has positive effect with the satisfaction of SNS, and the recognition of nail care shop's quality has positive relationship with the satisfaction of nail care service. The various utilization of SNS service with systemic service attitude of employee can lead to positive effect of promoting a nail care shop.

Video Palmprint Recognition System Based on Modified Double-line-single-point Assisted Placement

  • Palmprint has become a popular biometric modality; however, palmprint recognition has not been conducted in video media. Video palmprint recognition (VPR) has some advantages that are absent in image palmprint recognition. In VPR, the registration and recognition can be automatically implemented without users' manual manipulation. A good-quality image can be selected from the video frames or generated from the fusion of multiple video frames. VPR in contactless mode overcomes several problems caused by contact mode; however, contactless mode, especially mobile mode, encounters with several revere challenges. Double-line-single-point (DLSP) assisted placement technique can overcome the challenges as well as effectively reduce the localization error and computation complexity. This paper modifies DLSP technique to reduce the invalid area in the frames. In addition, the valid frames, in which users place their hands correctly, are selected according to finger gap judgement, and then some key frames, which have good quality, are selected from the valid frames as the gallery samples that are matched with the query samples for authentication decision. The VPR algorithm is conducted on the system designed and developed on mobile device.
