A Study on the Comparison of the Probability of Acceptance through Simulation and Approximation Methods for a Statistically Dependent Production Process (종속 품질 생산 공정에서 시뮬레이션과 근사적 방법을 통한 합격 확률의 비교에 관한 연구)

  • Standard acceptance sampling plans models the production process as a sequence of independent identically distributed Beruoulli random variables. However, the quality of items sampled sequentially from an ongoing production process often exhibits statistical dependency that is not accounted for in standard acceptance sampling plans. In this paper, a dependent production process is modelled as an ARMA process and as a two-state Markov chain. A simulation study of each is performed. A comparison of the probability of acceptance is done for the simulation method and for the approximation method.

  • Inmate's correctional and educational programs has contributed to reducing the recurrence of crimes so that the general citizens can be freer from crimes, playing the roles of crime prevention and shield for the society. This paper investigates satisfaction about entrepreneurship education of Inmate's because do questionnaire deduce problem and presented improvement plans. Improvement plans on entrepreneurship education of Inmate's are presented: 1. Enforcement of entrepreneurship education about definite education subject person, 2. Education enforcement by special quality of education subject person, 3. Increase of entrepreneurship education process, 4. Released convict settled successfully in society. real entrepreneurship speaker practical use etc.

  • This study employs a case study method to examine the current implementation of student teaching program in a particular teacher education institution and its affiliated school. The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of home economics student teaching program by promoting collaboration of teacher education institution and host schools. Following five research problems are addressed : (1)Examining the problems of student teaching from the literature review ; (2)Identifying the problems of student teaching recognized by home economics student teachers ; (3)Identifying the problems of student teaching and plans for improvements suggested in the seminar held for home economics teacher ; (4)Analyzing and comparing the differences of opinion between home economics student teaching program ; and (5)Suggesting alternative implementation plans for improving student teaching program by promoting collaboration of teacher education institution and host schools.

Distributed Database Design using Evolutionary Algorithms

  • The performance of a distributed database system depends particularly on the site-allocation of the fragments. Queries access different fragments among the sites, and an originating site exists for each query. A data allocation algorithm should distribute the fragments to minimize the transfer and settlement costs of executing the query plans. The primary cost for a data allocation algorithm is the cost of the data transmission across the network. The data allocation problem in a distributed database is NP-complete, and scalable evolutionary algorithms were developed to minimize the execution costs of the query plans. In this paper, quadratic assignment problem heuristics were designed and implemented for the data allocation problem. The proposed algorithms find near-optimal solutions for the data allocation problem. In addition to the fast ant colony, robust tabu search, and genetic algorithm solutions to this problem, we propose a fast and scalable hybrid genetic multi-start tabu search algorithm that outperforms the other well-known heuristics in terms of execution time and solution quality.

  • In this paper, a job shop scheduling system is developed which can cope with the changes of shop floor status with flexibility. This system suggests near optimal sequence of operations by using Genetic Algorithm which considers alternative process plans. The Genetic Algorithm proposed in this paper has some characteristics. The mutation rate is differentiated in order to enhance the chance to escape a local optimum and to assure the global optimum. And it employs the double gene structure to easily make the modeling of the shop floor. Finally, the quality of its solution and the computational time are examined in comparison with the method of a Simulated Annealing.

  • Saemangeum development project is the world's largest tidal flat reclamation project. It is currently under construction, and proceeding with phased developments. The construction of agricultural areas within the Saemangeum reclamed lands is also a part of this project. These areas will have multi-functional complexes aiming to produce mainly eco-friendly horticultural crops and livestock products for the purpose of export. The major concern is to obtain sufficient water with appropriate quality to supply to those areas. The objective of this study is therefore to provide available water supply plans for agricultural purpose, especially for horticulture and livestock complexes. Alternative methods for water supply are purifying water from the Saemangenm lake or using water supply services providing by K-water or local governments. This study investigates to find an economical water supply plan through comparisons of these methods. As a result, the water purification method with Saemangeum lake water could be advantageous for given water supply conditions to horticulture and livestock complexes.

  • This thesis reports the development of a Computer-Aided Process Planning system for rotational parts. The developed system ultimately generates process plans for rotational parts through a knowledge-base. The knowledge-base and decision-making algorithms are represented by Pascal computer programming language. We have developed a process planning system which adjusts the sequence of processes by itself to ensure the quality of the parts. This system generates more detailed job sequence and descriptions than other well-known process planning systems. We present realistic and efficient process plans through the integration of process planning and scheduling. This system optimizes flow time of parts by decreasing the number of machine set-ups.

Multi-level skip-lot sampling plan (다단계 스?로트 샘플링검사 계획)

  • This paper is a generalization of single- and two-level skip-lot sampling plans to n-level, which can considerably reduce inspection cost when the level of submitted quality is high. In every skipping inspection of the generalized sampling plan, not only skipping parameters but also inspection fractions can be freely choosed. The general formula of the operating characteristic function for the n-level skip-lot sampling plan is derived. Also the operating characteristic curves of a reference plan, two-level and three-level skip-lot sampling plans are compared.

  • After Landscape Act was enacted, as awareness of landscape has increased and the need of expanding targets of landscape design review and improving landscape examination in terms of quality, this study aims to describe a technique of creating three dimensional landscape simulation model which is used for landscape design review. For this, the author of this study conducted analysis in terms of function and use of programs and compatibility with programs to find a way of creating models with the most efficient and optimum process. For creation of landscape simulation models, initial creation is important but in case that changes occur by operator changing or discussing development plans, rapid correction and change are needed. Therefore, this study described how to build more accrurate and efficient simulation at initial review and how to create a landscape simulation model for rapid response to changed plans during reconsideration.

  • Uncertainty is increasing around the world due to COVID-19 and Ukraine crisis. In this situation, each company is making countless efforts to survive. In Korea, smart factory projects targeting small and medium-sized businesses with difficulties have been continuously promoted. As for the smart factory business that has been promoted so far, the base expansion of the smart factory is also steadily increasing as the number of companies carrying out the project is increasing. It was also found that it contributed to productivity improvement and quality improvement. Despite these positive aspects, difficulties and operational problems are also appearing in the process of promoting smart factories. In this study, we investigated and analyzed operational problems and difficulties in the process of promoting smart factories. In addition, improvement plans for problems were presented according to the contents of this analysis, and improvement plans were presented by classifying them into introduction and supply companies, considering that the smart factory business is formed in the form of a consortium between introduction and supply companies.
