서낙동강에서 생활환경기준을 적용한 수질등급 및 수질지수의 시·공간 변동 분석 (Temporal-Spatial Variations of Water Quality Level and Water Quality Index on the Living Environmental Standards in the West Nakdong River)

  • In this study, water quality levels were classified and water quality indices were calculated and analysed by using the water quality components of living environmental standards monitored 10 years (2008 ~ 2017) at four stations in the West Nakdong River. As a result of analyzing the monthly variation of the water quality components of the living environmental standards, the water quality in the West Nakdong River was worse downstream than upstream, and pollution at the WNR3 located in the downstream of the Jomangang was the most serious. As a result of classification of water quality levels, BOD and COD levels were the lowest, so water quality pollution in the West Nakdong River was found to be highly influenced by organic matters. The water quality index was the lowest in July and August at four stations, so water quality is showing the worst in summer. As a result of analyzing the correlation between the water quality components and the water quality index, the correlation between the TOC and the water quality index was high in the four stations, and the water quality index in the West Nakdong River was dominated by organic matters and nutrients.

보육시설의 $PM_{10}$, $CO_2$ 농도와 보육교사의 실내 공기질 인식에 관한 연구 (A Study on $PM_{10}$, $CO_2$ Concentrations in Child Daycare Centers and Teachers' Awareness of Indoor Air Quality)

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were: (a) to assess indoor air quality such as $PM_{10}$, $CO_2$ concentrations in child daycare centers, (b) to compare the levels with each standard, and (c) to identify teachers' awareness of indoor air quality in child care centers. Methods: Data were obtained from seventeen child daycare centers and ninety-eight teachers in a district of Seoul, from April 3 to May 12, 2009. Collected data were analyzed by SAS 8.2, and descriptive statistics, $x^2$ test, student t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, and Spearman rank correlation were used. Results: The mean of $PM_{10}$ and $CO_2$ level were $50.3{\mu}g/m^3$ and 792.1ppm. Sixteen child daycare centers (94.2%) met the guidelines of the $PM_{10}$ level, so did thirteen child daycare centers (76.5%) in the $CO_2$ level. $CO_2$ levels were significantly low in child daycare centers using air cleaners than those do not using them (t=-6.03, p<.001). Types of child daycare centers were significantly correlated to the levels of $CO_2$, which public child daycare centers were low in $CO_2$ levels than those of private child daycare centers (t=-2.54, p=.013). There was no significant correlation between teachers' awareness and management attitude of indoor air quality while teachers' awareness of indoor air quality significantly raised the frequency of carpet cleaning. Methods of cleaning routines were significantly correlated with $PM_{10}$, and $CO_2$ levels. Conclusion: The $PM_{10}$ and $CO_2$ concentrations in child daycare centers were satisfactory. Those conditions are affected by general characteristics of child daycare centers and teachers' attitude regarding management of indoor air quality.

구조방정식 모형을 이용한 고령자의 기능 수준, 환경적 요인 및 라이프스타일이 건강과 삶의 질에 미치는 융합적인 영향 분석 (Analysis of Convergent Influence of Functional level, Environmental Factors and Lifestyle on Health and Quality of Life among Elderly using Structural Equation Model)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고령자의 기능 수준, 환경과 라이프스타일이 건강과 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 자료수집은 2019년도 4월부터 2019년도 5월까지 자기기입식 설문지를 사용하였으며, 조사대상은 전국의 65세 이상, 지역사회에 거주하는 고령자 200명으로 하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 23.0 통계프로그램을 사용하였다. 연구결과, 고령자의 기능 수준과 신체적 활동은 직접적으로 건강에 영향을 미치며, 기능 수준, 활동참여, 식이와 건강은 삶의 질에 직접적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 건강과 삶의 질에 직접적인 영향을 미치지는 않지만, 환경적 요인은 식이와 활동참여에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 고령자의 건강과 삶의 질 향상을 위해서는 이에 영향을 미치는 기능 수준, 환경과 건강한 라이프스타일 관리가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 노인보건복지 관련 정책 및 서비스를 수립하는 데 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

일개 전자제품 제조업 근로자에서 교대근무와 불안증상: 비타민 D와 수면의 질의 매개효과 (Shift Work and Anxiety Symptoms at an Electronic Manufacture Company: The mediating effect of vitamin D and sleep quality)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare vitamin D levels, sleep quality, and anxiety symptoms between shift workers and daytime workers and analyze the mediating effect of vitamin D and sleep quality between shift work and anxiety symptoms. Methods: The subjects of the study were 6744 people who received a medical examination while working for an electronics manufacturing company in 2016. We evaluated their shift work, vitamin D levels, sleep quality, and anxiety symptoms with blood samples and questionnaires. Chi-square test, t-test and path statistical analysis were performed. Results: The shift workers had significantly higher symptoms of anxiety than the day workers, significantly lower levels of vitamin D in the blood, and significantly poorer quality of sleep. The results of the pathway analysis confirmed that blood vitamin D and sleep quality had a mediating effect between shift work and anxiety symptoms. Conclusions: Shift workers should be constantly paying attention to mental health effects such as anxiety symptoms. Shift workers should also be alerted of the risk of vitamin D deficiency, encouraged about sun exposure and vitamin D intake, and required to undergo training and counseling on sleep hygiene.

수동측정기에 의한 대기오염 자동측정망의 지역대표성 조사 및 보완방완에 대한 기초연구 (Evaluation and Complement of the Representativeness of Air Quality Monitoring Stations Using Passive Air Samplers)

  • Some arguments have been about over the representativeness of government-run air quality monitoring stations among scholars and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). However, it is not a simple problem to move monitoring stations because of continuity of data and high cost. So it is necessary to complement the monitoring data if it do not represent the ambient air quality properly. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the representativeness of some monitoring stations using passive $NO_2$ samplers and to find a complementary method from linear regression. Two stations were chosen for the evaluation: Shinlim Station was one of the most controversial stations in Seoul and Banpo Station had the best reputation. Air qualities were surveyed at seven points around each monitoring station with consideration of land use and distance. The ratios of the average $NO_2$ levels of the areas to these at the monitoring stations were 1.59 for Shinlim Station and 1.03 for Banpo Station. The differences between the average $NO_2$ levels and those at the monitoring stations were 10.75 ppb for Shilim Station and 0.34 ppb for Banpo Station. The correlation coefficients between the two levels were 0.7668 for Shinlim and 0.7662 for Banpo. The average coefficients of determination $(R^2)$ were 0.61 for Shinlim and 0.61 for Banpo. The Shinlim Station could not represent the air quality of Shinlim-Dong good because it is located in a green area at an outskirt of Shinlim-Dong. But the Banpo Station located in a central residential area of Banpo-Dong showed a fair representativeness. However, air quality turned out to be different with land use such as residential area, green area or road: the air quality data from a monitoring station located at a certain land use should not be interpreted as representing the air quality at any sites around the station. Equations to predict the average $NO_2$ levels of each area from the data from the monitoring stations were presented based on linear regression.

가정건강관리를 위한 커뮤니티케어 작업치료프로그램 적용 효과 (Effect of Implementing a Community-Care Occupational Therapy Program for Home Health Management)

  • Purpose : Community care occupational therapy is an integrated mediation method such as evaluating and mediating daily life activities, evaluating and modifying the environment, and providing information by visiting the home where the client resides. In this study, we examine the effect of implementing a community-care occupational therapy program on the levels of depression, quality of sleep, and quality of life of elderly individuals living alone. Methods : Among the users of organizations C and D located in City B, province A, South Korea, a total of 32 elderly citizens aged above 65 were chosen as the study subjects and randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group. For the experimental group, a total of 24 sessions, each lasting 60 minutes, comprising a community-care occupational therapy program and each organization's own program, were conducted, with each session conducted twice a week for a total of 12 weeks. On the other hand, those in the control group participated in the existing programs of their organizations. Changes in the levels of depression, quality of sleep, and quality of life before and after the intervention were compared using the GDSSF-K, GQOL, and GQOL. Results : Overall, the levels of depression, quality of sleep, and quality of life were found to improve among the experimental group after the intervention. In a between-group comparison of the changes before and after the intervention, the experimental group was found to exhibit a more statistically significant difference than that of the control group. Conclusion : The results obtained in this study confirm that community-care occupational therapy programs have a positive effect on the levels of depression, quality of sleep, and quality of life of elderly individuals living alone. This implies that such programs may represent an effective solution for the problems of these individuals.

상수도 배관망에서의 수질변화에 관한 연구 (수질악화의 영향인자 분석과 잔류염소 모델링) (A study on Water Quality Changes in Distribution System (Factor analysis of deterioration of water quality & Modelling of free chlorine))

  • Although it produces well-treated water in water treatment plant, water quality at the tap can be changed depending on the state of pipes. It is because water quality deteriorates as plant water passes through pipeline networks. Therefore, the improvement of not only water treatment technology but also O & M of water pipelines is required to supply good water to consumers. The purpose of the study was to obtain the basic data of control technology for water quality in pipes through investigating water quality in distribution system. We selected 11 sampling sites and investigated water quality from plant to endpoint of distribution system. we also simulated decreasing tendency of free chlorine through pipeline network. As the result of water quality test, all parameters were below allowable levels, but some parameters had the possibility of being over levels. So there must be more work to set up proper countermeasure for violable parameters.

환황해권 항만의 서비스 품질 각 차원이 고객만족에 미치는 상대적 영향에 관한 연구 (The Relative Effects of Three Dimensions of Service Quality of Ports in the Yellow Sea Region)

  • 본 논문은 인천항과 청도항, 천진항, 대련항을 대상으로 항만별 서비스품질 구성요인들 각각이 고객만족에 미치는 영향정도가 어떻게 다른지와 항만별 서비스품질의 각 차원 및 만족도에 대한 고객의 지각 수준을 비교하였다. 연구결과 항만서비스의 품질차원은 '내적품질', '외적환경품질', '상호작용품질'로 구분됨을 확인하였고, 대련항의 '외적환경품질'을 제외하곤 항만의 서비스품질 3차원 모두가 고객만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 항만간 서비스품질 각 차원에 대한 고객의 지각 수준을 그룹비교를 통해 살펴 본 결과 인천항은 '내적품질'에서 청도항, 천진항, 대련항에 비해 낮게 평가되었으며, '외적환경품질'의 경우도 청도항, 천진항에 비해 낮았지만, '상호작용품질'은 천진항과 대련항에 비해 높게 평가되었다. 그러나 항만에 대한 고객의 만족은 인천항이 청도항, 천진항에 비해 부족한 것으로 나타났다.

암생존자의 스트레스가 우울과 삶의 질에 미치는 영향: 외상 후 성장의 조절효과를 중심으로 (The Effects of Stress on Depression and Quality of Life in Cancer Survivors : Focusing on the Moderating Effects of Posttraumatic Growth)

  • 본 연구에서는 암생존자의 스트레스가 우울과 삶의 질에 영향을 미치는 과정에 외상 후 성장이 조절효과를 나타내는지 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시, 경기도, 충청도, 전라도에 거주하는 암생존자 173명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 응답한 자료로 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 외상 후 성장은 스트레스와 상호작용하여 암생존자의 우울 및 삶의 질에 영향을 미쳤다. 즉 스트레스 수준이 높더라도 외상 후 성장이 높으면 외상 후 성장이 낮을 때보다도 우울 수준이 더 낮고, 삶의 질 수준이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 외상 후 성장은 삶의 질의 하위요인 중 정서적 및 기능적 삶의 질에서만 조절효과를 나타냈다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 암생존자의 우울 감소와 삶의 질 증진을 위해서는 외상 후 성장을 높이는 교육 및 상담적 개입이 필요함을 논의하였다.

Ecological health assessment of Mae Kha Canal, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand in 2023

  • Background: The Mae Kha Canal is one of Chiang Mai's most important waterways. It supports local agriculture, irrigation, and transportation as well as provides stormwater drainage to prevent floods. Due to the unregulated rapid urbanization of the city and lack of efficient waste and wastewater management systems over the past few decades, the canal has become heavily polluted. This study aimed to evaluate the water quality of Mae Kha canal through assessment of the physico-chemical water quality and coliform bacteria. Moreover, benthic macroinvertebrates were samples and assessed using the Biological Monitoring Working Party (BMWPThai) and Average Score Per Taxon (ASPTThai) as biological indices. Results: The physico-chemical showed low dissolved oxygen levels, high levels of ammonia and phosphates, and elevated levels of biochemical oxygen demand, indicating that the water quality had significantly deteriorated. The canal was found to be heavily polluted, with most sites falling into the polluted to very heavily polluted. Coliform bacteria analysis revealed alarmingly high levels of total coliform bacteria and fecal coliform bacteria in the canal. The BMWPThai and ASPTThai scores indicated poor to very poor water quality. Conclusions: The physico-chemical and coliform bacteria indicated that the water quality of the Mae Kha canal had significantly deteriorated. The biological indices also indicated the poor to very poor water quality. This study underscores the urgent need for comprehensive remediation efforts, emphasizing strategic planning, investment, and community engagement to revive the canal's ecological health and water quality.
