조직간 관계특성이 공급사슬 민첩성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 공급업체 관점으로 (The Effects of Inter-Organizational Relationship Characteristics on Supply Chain Agility: From the Supplier Perspective)

  • Supply chain management(SCM) helps firms in integrating their business by collaborating with other value chain partners to meet the unpredictable demand of the end user. Agility is the fundamental characteristic of a supply chain needed for survival in turbulent and volatile markets, which are becoming norms as product life cycles shorten and environmental forces create additional uncertainty resulting in higher risk in the supply chain management. Literature reviews reveals various factors that could affect the agility. The objective of this study is to derive interdependence, partnership, quality of information, joint problem solving, modelize the mutual influential relationship between them, and look into the influential relationship influencing the agility. To test the proposed model, we used a data set generated from survey. Date analysis was conducted using 122 respondents. We used structural equation model (SEM) implemented in partial least square(PLS). The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Interdependence had a significant impact on partnership. Partnership had a significant impact on quality of information and joint problem solving. Quality of information had a significant impact on joint problem solving. Quality of information and joint problem solving had a significant impact on agility. This study diagnoses that Inter-organizational relationship characteristics are important for supply chain agility. Inter-organizational relationship characteristics are considered as an essential factor for supply chain agility.

Key Drivers of Operational Performance of E-commerce Distribution Service Providers in Thailand

  • Purpose: Due to the rapid growth of e-commerce in Thailand, the operational excellence of distribution service providers has been elevated. Thus, this research investigated the key drivers of operational performance of e-commerce distributors in Thailand. The research contains key variables: the analytics capabilities of an organization, supply chain disruption orientation, innovation capability, and operational performance. Research design, data, and methodology: An online survey is administered to top managers and key personnel (N=425) employed for at least one year in Thailand's top five e-commerce distributors. The sampling methods were conducted using purposive sampling, quota sampling, and convenience sampling. Confirmatory Factor Analysis and Structural Equation Model were applied to analyze and confirm the model's goodness-of-fit and hypothesis testing. Results: The findings reveal that an organization's analytics capabilities significantly affect supply chain disruption orientation and supply chain resilience. Furthermore, operational performance is affected by supply chain disruption, supplier quality management, and innovation capability. Nevertheless, supply chain resilience and digital supply chain have no significant effect on operational performance. Conclusions: The results imply that supply chain digitalization could drive higher operational performance. Distribution businesses are encountering transformation and disruption, which should address the high level of a digital supply chain, innovation, and quality management to maximize their profit margin and delivery service quality.

Disruptive Factors and Customer Satisfaction at Chain Stores in Karachi, Pakistan

  • Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between disruptive factors and customer satisfaction at chain stores. Survey-based questionnaires were designed in the distribution technique to measure the findings in this study. Research design, data, and methodology: In terms of the sampling technique, the researchers adopted the simple random sampling technique with a total of 200 sample sizes. For the statistical method, the researchers applied multiple linear regression analysis to determine the potential factors that affect customer satisfaction at chain stores. The analysis of this study measured how product quality, pricing policies of chain stores, design and layout, responsiveness, and location of chain stores impart their roles in customer satisfaction. Results: This study found a significant relationship between the product quality and location of chain stores on customer satisfaction. In addition, the responsiveness, pricing policy, and physical design of chain stores impart an insignificant role in customer satisfaction. However, it is proven that the location of chain stores and product quality positively impact customer satisfaction. Conclusions: The study is geographically limited to the region of Karachi, Pakistan. Therefore, the findings may differ in the context of study implications in the other areas.

효과적 산학연계교육을 위한 공급망품질경영에 관한 실증적 조사연구 (An Empirical Study on the Supply Chain Quality Management for Effective University-Industry linked Training Programs)

  • 효과적이고 효율적인 산/학연계교육을 위해서는 기존의 대기업 주도의 일방적 교육시스템이나 교육과정에서 벋어나 공급망 상에서 연결된 대기업-중소기업 간 상생협력관계에 따른 차별화된 맞춤형 산학교육계획의 설계가 필수적이고 이를 위해서 공급망상에서 연결된 대기업-중소기업의 협력관계를 평가할 수 있는 공급망품질을 평가하는 것이 중요한 문제이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 효과적이고 효율적인 산/학연계교육 설계 및 수행을 위해 중요한 요인인 공급망품질경영모형 SCQM(Supply Chain Quality Management) 및 이를 바탕으로 상생품질경영 역량을 평가할 수 있는 공급망품질협력지수(QCI-SCM; Quality Collaboration Index for Supply Chain Management)를 제시하고, 심사항목별, 매출규모별로 나누어진 기업군을 대상으로 상생협력도 실증분석을 통해 그 차이점과 공통점을 파악함으로써 상생협력성과에 영향을 미치는 핵심요소가 무엇인지를 제시하고 이를 효과적인 산학연계 교육에 활용할 수 있는 가능성을 살펴 보고하고자 한다.

수단-목적 사슬 이론을 이용한 의복품질 평가과정에 잔한 이론적 연구 (Apparel Quality Evaluation Process bused on Means- Bnd Chain Theory: A Theoretical Study)

  • The purpose of this study was to discover a conceptual framework and evaluation process of apparel quality by means-end chain theory. The theoretical study was conducted to find out a conceptual framework and build a hypothetical evaluation process model of apparel quality. Apparel quality was perceived associative network called a means-end chain and was evaluated in several stages. A conceptual framework of apparel quality evaluation was organized into hierarchical relationships among four different dimensions: physical attribute, physical function, instrumental performance, and expressive performance. The means-end structure linked tangible physical attributes and function to more abstract instrumental and expressive performance. A hypothetical evaluation process model linked dimensions of apparel quality to the selected means-end relationship. Different consumers had different means-end chains for the same apparel. Therefore different subjects are likely to have different evaluation paths. From this study we can suggest an evaluation process model of apparel quality.

SCM 협력, 신제품 개발, 조직문화의 관계 (The Associations between SCM Collaboration, New Product Development, and Organizational Culture)

  • Although many prior studies have investigated the relationship between supply chain and new product development (NPD), the causal relationship between them has not been clearly established. Therefore, this study investigated systematically over the entire process of supply chain management (SCM) from trust to NPD capability, including not only the associations between trust, commitment, collaboration, supply chain quality, and NPD capability, but also the impact of organizational culture in the context of supply chain. In particular, this study examined the mediating effect of commitment on the relationship between trust and collaboration of channel members. In addition, it studies the moderating effect of organizational culture on the relationship between collaboration, supply chain quality, and NPD capability. Using a questionnaire survey, 112 usable responses are obtained. PLS (partial least square) is employed to assess the relationships among related constructs. The results of the data analysis show that (1) commitment mediates the link between trust and collaboration (2) supply chain quality is positively associated with NPD capability, and (3) organizational culture significantly moderates the association between collaboration and supply chain quality, yet it does not the relationship SC quality and NPD capability. Finally, the implications of the results are discussed, and directions for future research are suggested.

The Effect of Supply Chain Management on Total Quality Management: An Application of Just-in-Time (JIT) Practices

  • The study attempted to answer the questions related to the expected effects of supply chain management variables which include: Partnership with Suppliers (PS), Relationships with Customers (RC), Quality of Information Exchange (QIE), and Postponement (P), as independent variables, total quality management (TQM) as a dependents variable, and just in time (JIT) as a mediator variable. The study relies on the descriptive approach by conducting an empirical study on commercial companies in Riyadh Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Through the methods of descriptive and analytical statistics represented in exploratory factor analysis (EFA), confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM)), using the AMOS and SPSS programs, the results of the applied study indicated that: There is an effect of supply chain management variables (quality of information exchange, Postponement) on just in time (JIT), there is no effect of the supply chain variables (relationship with customers, partnership with suppliers) on just in time (JIT), there is an indirect effect of the quality of information exchange, Postponement, partnership with suppliers, the relationship with customers on total quality management (TQM), relationship with customers affect on total quality management (TQM) indirectly, just in time (JIT) does not affect total quality management (TQM)

Exploring Quality Issues of Dairy Supply Chain and Proposing IOT-enabled Tracking Systems in Developing Country

  • Recent scandals of milk additives in several developing countries provoked controversy about quality issue of dairy products, grapping academic attention to the dairy supply chain. In this paper, we first focus on moral hazard problem of self-interested entities about the quality across the dairy supply chain, due to unobservable and unverifiable quality management efforts of all entities - including dairy producers, stations, and a final producer - and high inspection cost for the quality. Based on the identified moral hazard problem, we understand why the adoption of IoT-based tracking systems about quality produced from each entity is a must, different from RFID-based tracking systems.

물류서비스품질과 관계지향성이 공급사슬성과에 미치는 영향 - 3PL 기업의 물류배송품질을 중심으로 - (The Effects of Logistics Service Quality and Relationship Orientation on Supply Chain Performance - Focusing on Delivery Quality of 3PL Firms -)

  • In this study, we will conduct an empirical study to see how the 3PL firm's logistics service quality and relationship orientation affects the supply chain performance. To examine the research model and hypotheses, we have used an empirical method based on the field survey in which most of measurements used and verified in previous studies are selected as measurements. The results of our empirical study can be summarized as follows: First, it can be shown that higher level of logistics service quality not only affects satisfaction and relationship orientation positively, but also improves supply chain performance. Second, it can be also shown that satisfaction for logistics service quality affects relationship orientation between shipper and 3PL firm positively. Finally, it can be shown that relationship orientation affects supply chain performance positively. This paper presents much implications both theoretical and practical side.

  • 한국 해외직접투자기업은 저렴한 원재료를 조달하여 낮은 생산요소가격을 지불하는 국가에서 생산하여 세계를 대상으로 판매 및 마케팅을 한다. 이러한 측면에서 글로벌 공급사슬관리는 한국해외직접투자기업에게 중요성이 있고 이에 따라 본 연구는 공급사슬지향성의 수준에 따른 신뢰성 및 품질 성과의 차이를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 본 연구는 선행연구를 통해 변수들 간의 이론적 관계를 확인하였고 측정변수를 도출하여 한국 해외직접투자기업들로부터 설문지를 회수하여 분석하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공급사슬지향성의 수준에 따른 신뢰성 성과는 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 관리자는 그들의 현재 공급사슬지향성의 수준을 확인하고 신뢰성 성과를 개선하기 위한 전략적 및 구조적 노력을 해야 한다. 둘째, 공급사슬지향성의 수준에 따른 품질 성과 역시 차이가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 품질 성과의 개선을 위해 관리자는 그들의 현재 공급사슬지향성의 수준을 파악해야 한다. 이를 통해 관리자는 전략적이고 구조적인 노력을 통해 품질 성과를 개선할 수 있다.
