In this paper, we design and implement a QoS control function in the SIP-based VoIP system. As a network infrastructure for VoIP service, we select the Intserv over Diffserv architecture where the network resources are managed by a call admission control mechanism. The SIP protocol extended to support QoS signaling procedure is modulized to operate independently with the infrastructure. The performance of the QoS-enabled VoIP system is verified by experiments.

최근 인터넷에서는 인터넷 방송, 스트리밍 서비스, VoIP 등 QoS 보장을 요구하는 새로운 응용 서비스들의 출현과 함께 IP QoS 등의 문제가 해결해야 할 가장 중요한 이슈로 등장하고 있다. 현재 인터넷은 모든 패킷을 동일하게 전달하는 Best Effort 서비스만을 제공하고 있기 때문에 패킷의 손실 또는 지연 등 QoS에 대한 요구 사항을 보장해 주지 못하고 있다. 따라서 인터넷 서비스의 QoS를 지원해 주기 위해서는 새로운 배S 서비스 모델을 요구 한다. 이러한 이유로 본 논문에서는 기존의 인프라를 최대한 이용한 클라이언트/서버 기반 스트리밍 시스템에서 QoS 지원 기법을 제안 한다. 제안된 QoS 지원 기법은 기존의 스트리밍 서비스에서 사용하는 프로토콜들을 이용하여 종단간의 QoS 지원하며, 스트리밍 시스템에서 서비스 도중 실시간으로 QoS 적용이 가능하며, 스트리밍 서버와 클라이언트에 새로운 모듈의 추가만으로 QoS를 지원할 수 있고, 대역폭에 대한 예측 기능도 지원 가능하다.

기능적 제한이 있는 하나의 웹 서비스는 다른 기능의 여러 웹 서비스들과 다양한 형태로 조합되어 웹 프로세스(Web Process)를 만들게 된다. 이를 통해 개발에 소요되는 비용과 시간을 줄이고 사용자의 요구사항을 만족시키는 서비스의 유연한 조합이 가능하다. 웹 프로세스의 조합 및 통합 시에 중요한 것은 보다 효과적이고 높은 품질의 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 웹 서비스의 조합과 QoS(Quality of Service) 평가 및 보장에 관한 기존 연구는 사용자가 자신의 QoS 요구사항을 만족하는 웹 서비스를 직접 찾아야 하고, 조합된 웹 프로세스가 원하는 QoS를 만족할 때까지 반복적인 수작업을 수행해야 하는 비효율적인 측면이 있었다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 조합한 웹 프로세스의 QoS를 분석하고 사용자의 QoS 요구사항에 부합하는 웹 서비스를 지능적으로 찾아주는 QoS 기반 웹 서비스 조합 방법론 및 지원도구를 소개한다. 제안된 도구를 통해 Activity Diagram의 형태로 프로세스를 구성하고 구성된 프로세스의 QoS를 분석하여 QoS 요구사항을 만족하는 웹 프로세스를 효율적으로 구성할 수 있다.

In the next generation Internet(NGI) based on dense wavelength division multiplexing(DWDM) technology, QoS RWA considering various QoS parameters of DWDM networks is regard as one of the key issues in providing real-time multimedia services. However, finding a qualified path meeting multi-constraints is generally NP-complete problem. It is insufficient for QoS RWA researches in DWDM networks that must consider QoS parameter as well as wavelength-continuity constraint. This paper proposes qualified path routing (QPR) algorithm with minimum computation and implementation complexity based on flooding method to accomplish QoS routing and wavelength assignment (RWA). We also introduce a QoS-based RWA mechanism considering multi-constraint such as optical signal quality attributes, survivability and wavelength-continuity constraint combined with proposed routing algorithm. Simulation results show superior efficiency of the proposed algorithms in terms of blocking probability, routing overhead and survivability ratio.

Even though a variety of types of multimedia data are being used on the basis of user characteristics and demands, all devices do not always support playing all multimedia data. Accordingly, a multimedia transcoder is used to create media suitable for each environments. This is due to the dissimilarity between the source QoS and the target QoS. Therefore, we need to consider adapting the two dissimilar QoS. Therefore in this paper, we create a suitable application-specific transcoding path with unit transcoders before performing the media transcoding in consideration of source QoS and target QoS. and the created transcoding path performs the transcoding. Here, creating a UTR(Unit Transcoder) conversion path that considers the transcoding possibility and the minimum of the UTR will allow the playback of various multimedia data with convenience. and The consideration of QoS allows users to use the multimedia easily.

This paper focuses on the consideration of not only QoS parameters in wired network, but also QoS parameters in wireless network that supported for the Efficient QoS in the Al1 Service Levels. So, We supposed the "Efficient QoS Model" that guaranteed the QoS parameters "Loss Profile" , "Service Degradation" , "Latency and Jittering" , "Mobility of Mobile User" , "Probability of seamless communication" in wired-wireless networks. And the Method of Efficient QoS support that we supposed consists of "Multicast Routing-RSVP Protocol architecture based on Mobile IP" and "Protocols internetworking model ".

Supporting Quality of Service (QoS) for multimedia services in heterogeneous mobile networks is a part of key issue for Three Generation Evolution (3GE) development. A QoS management structure needs to guarantee the QoS of moving users based on an end-to-end negotiation to support the seamless service when MT is moving between the heterogeneous networks. We propose an end-to-end negotiation method based on SLA(Service Level Agreement). For this aim, the SLA control and algorithm for supporting MT's QoS is considered. Simulation is focused on the average delay and packet loss rate, and the results show that our proposed method provides mobile terminals with the optimal performance.

We are concerned with whether a vertically integrated broadband and content provider can unreasonably advantage itself over competing content providers, either by selling quality-of-service (QoS) to content providers at unreasonably high prices, or by refusing to provide access to QoS to competing content. We address this question by modeling the competition between one such vertically integrated provider and one over-the-top (OTT) content provider. The broadband provider decides whether to deploy QoS, and if so it also determines the QoS price if sold to either the OTT content provider or directly to users. We analytically determine when the broadband provider will sell QoS and when the OTT content provider or users will purchase QoS. We characterize the optimal QoS and video service prices. The Internet service provider (ISP)'s market share increases with the difference in the value of the two video services and decreases with the difference in the corresponding costs. Numerical results illustrate the effect of QoS price on content price, the variation of prices and profit with QoS price, and the variation of prices and market shares with the benefit of QoS. The ISP may sell QoS to users at a lower price than when QoS is sold to the OTT provider.

실시간 멀티미디어 서비스에서 Quality of Service(QoS) 보장의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 멀티미디어 서비스 제공 형태의 대다수가 될 멀티캐스트 경로설정에서도 QoS 보장은 확장성 신뢰성과 함께 매우 중요한 문제이다. QoS 기반 코어 선택 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안 알고리즈믄 멀티캐스트 경로설정에서 코어 선택시에 다중 QoS 제약조건을 고려한다. QoS 제약조건은 최소보장 대역폭, 종단 지연, 종단 지연변이 등으로 정의한다. 모의 실험결과는 제안한 QCSA와 Maximum Centered Tree(MCT) Average Centered Tree (ACT) Initial Delay-Constrained Shared Tree(Dcinitial) Random Tree(Random)등의 기존 코어 선택 알고리즘의 성능을 각 항목별로 비교한다 멀티캐스트 그룹 멤버수와 QoS 제약조건을 인자로 한 모의 실험 결과는 제안한 QoS 기반 코어 선택 알고리즘이 기존 코어 선택 알고리즘에 비해서 다중 QoS 제약조건 보장 코어 선택 성공률에서 성능 개선 효과를 가짐을 보여준다. 제안 알고리즘이 본 논문에서 설정한 모의 실험 환경에서는 QoS 기반 코어 선택의 정도를 나타내는 성공률에서 약 10% 정도 기존 알고리즘보다 우수함을 보인다. 이 결과는 제안 알고리즘이 코어 선택 과정의 초기부터 멀티캐스트 그룹내의 모든 멤버에 대한 다중 QoS 제약조건을 고려하는 점이 QoS 기반 코어 선택에서 개선 효과를 나타냄을 보여준다.
