Qigong is one energy-healing intervention used to prevent and cure ailments and to improve health through regular practice. Although qigong-neither itself nor its postulated mechanism of action - are within the paradigm of modern Western medical science, effects on the human body could be possible. This study aims to review the bibliography, biological responses and therapeutic effects of Qigong. In the process, this review will grasp trends in this field of studies and will direct further researches into the right direction. The computerized Korean databases were searched from their respective inceptions up to January 2008. The search terms used were 'qi', 'qigong', 'doin', 'training', 'bioenergy', 'life nurturing' and random or Korean language terms related to qigong. Several specialized journals were also manually searched for relevant articles. Since the 1990s, Qigong papers in the Korean Literature is increased. Published 152 papers on Korean medicine were more than Physical education and Nursing. 78 papers published in The Journal of Korean Academy of medical Gi-gong are the best in many areas related to Korean medicine. Most people have submitted papers related to Qigong was Lee Gi-nam. The depth study for the each Qigong is needed. Specifically, I think it should be a clinical studies and qualitative research methods for evaluation are needed.

Objectives: Sasang Constitutional Medicine(SCM) is a Traditional Korean Medicine based on the natural human emotions of joy(喜), anger(怒), sorrow(哀), and pleasure(樂). Therefore, in this paper I would like to construct SCM as a Mind-Body Medicine by studying the relation between SCM and psychotherapy focusing on control of emotions. Methods : I have researched the psychological characteristics of the four human physical constitutions, as described by SCM, and psychotherapy with an emphasis on the natural human emotions of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure as discussed in the works of Lee Je-ma(李濟馬, 1837-1900). Results and Conclusions : The joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure in SCM do not simply refer to human emotions. They have an inherent nature(性), emotion(情) and Qi(氣). They are tied to the psychological characteristics of the four human physical constitutions and the relationship between body and mind. The turning point in the transformation from Sasang philosophy to Sasang therapy lies in these emotions. Sasang Constitutional Medicine, which focuses on 'mind matter' and diagnosing illness, emphasizes medicine and food(藥餌), along with health maintenance(調養). In particular, health maintenance requires the following mental practices. First of all, through countinuous awarness(恒戒) and self-reflection(自反), one needs to practice moderation(中) and restraint(節) of the emotions of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. Therefore, 'inward reflection while sitting(坐思)' is necessary. In SCM, this is very similar to meditation in that it enhances psychological self-control through mental training or practice.
Purpose: This study is to analyze the image classification using Convolution Neural Network and Transfer Learning for Jeju Island and to suggest related implications. As the biggest tourist destination in Korea, Jeju Island encounters environmental issues frequently caused by marine debris along the seaside. The ever-increasing volume of plastic waste requires multidirectional management and protection. Research design, data and methodology: In this study, the deep learning CNN algorithm was used to train a number of images from Jeju clean and polluted beaches. In the process of validating and testing pre-processed images, we attempted to explore their applicability to coastal tourism applications through probabilities of classifying images and predicting clean shores. Results: We transformed and augmented 194 small image dataset into 3,880 image data. The results of the pre-trained test set were 85%, 70% and 86%, and then its accuracy has increased through the process. We finally obtained a rapid convergence of 97.73% and 100% (20/20) in the actual training and validation sets. Conclusions: The tested algorithms are expected to implement in applications for tourism service distribution aimed at reducing coastal waste or in CCTVs as a detector or indicator for residents and tourists to protect clean beaches on Jeju Island.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development of the most appropriate and effective educational materials for patients and their caregivers through the educational experiences of patient safety officer. Methods: This study is a qualitative analysis that involves using the focus group interview to understand the patient safety education experience of the patient safety officer. Results: The patient safety education experience of the patient safety officer is divided into four topics: (1) patient safety education content (2) patient safety education method (3) patient safety education status (4) activation and improvement of patient safety education. Additionally, the study incorporated twelve subtopics: (a) falls (b) speak up (c) patient safety campaign (d) patient safety rounding and a one on one training (e) education through medical staff (f) education using broadcast, video, post, among others (g) a lot of education in patient (h) patients not interested in patient safety education (i) patient safety education is less effective (j) human and medical expenses support (k) provision of standardized educational materials (l) patient safety culture for patient participation. Conclusions: This study indicate that education for patients and the caregivers should be inclusive and protective of stakeholders from the risks involved in patient safety events. The experience of patient safety officer is necessary for patient safety education for both patients and the caregivers since it is the source of basic data for the future development of patient safety education.

Neutron spectrum is essential to the safe operation of reactors. Traditional online neutron spectrum measurement methods still have room to improve accuracy for the application cases of wide energy range. From the application of artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm in spectrum unfolding, its accuracy is difficult to be improved for lacking of enough effective training data. In this paper, an adaptive deviation-resistant neutron spectrum unfolding method based on transfer learning was developed. The model of ANN was trained with thousands of neutron spectra generated with Monte Carlo transport calculation to construct a coarse-grained unfolded spectrum. In order to improve the accuracy of the unfolded spectrum, results of the previous ANN model combined with some specific eigenvalues of the current system were put into the dataset for training the deeper ANN model, and fine-grained unfolded spectrum could be achieved through the deeper ANN model. The method could realize accurate spectrum unfolding while maintaining universality, combined with detectors covering wide energy range, it could improve the accuracy of spectrum measurement methods for wide energy range. This method was verified with a fast neutron reactor BN-600. The mean square error (MSE), average relative deviation (ARD) and spectrum quality (Qs) were selected to evaluate the final results and they all demonstrated that the developed method was much more precise than traditional spectrum unfolding methods.
Maglev rail joints are vital components serving as connections between the adjacent F-type rail sections in maglev guideway. Damage to maglev rail joints such as bolt looseness may result in rough suspension gap fluctuation, failure of suspension control, and even sudden clash between the electromagnets and F-type rail. The condition monitoring of maglev rail joints is therefore highly desirable to maintain safe operation of maglev. In this connection, an online damage detection approach based on three-dimensional (3D) convolutional neural network (CNN) and time-frequency characterization is developed for simultaneous detection of multiple damage of maglev rail joints in this paper. The training and testing data used for condition evaluation of maglev rail joints consist of two months of acceleration recordings, which were acquired in-situ from different rail joints by an integrated online monitoring system during a maglev train running on a test line. Short-time Fourier transform (STFT) method is applied to transform the raw monitoring data into time-frequency spectrograms (TFS). Three CNN architectures, i.e., small-sized CNN (S-CNN), middle-sized CNN (M-CNN), and large-sized CNN (L-CNN), are configured for trial calculation and the M-CNN model with excellent prediction accuracy and high computational efficiency is finally optioned for multiple damage detection of maglev rail joints. Results show that the rail joints in three different conditions (bolt-looseness-caused rail step, misalignment-caused lateral dislocation, and normal condition) are successfully identified by the proposed approach, even when using data collected from rail joints from which no data were used in the CNN training. The capability of the proposed method is further examined by using the data collected after the loosed bolts have been replaced. In addition, by comparison with the results of CNN using frequency spectrum and traditional neural network using TFS, the proposed TFS-CNN framework is proven more accurate and robust for multiple damage detection of maglev rail joints.
Cervical cancer is a serious public health problem in developing countries. We investigated possible risk factors for cervical cancer in rural areas of Wuhan China using a matched case-control study with 33 women diagnosed with cervical cancer and 132 healthy women selected from the same area as matched controls. A questionnaire, which included questions about general demography conditions, environmental and genetic factors, the first sexual intercourse, first marriage age, age at first pregnancy, pregnancy first child's age, female personal health history, social psychological factors, dietary habits, smoking and alcohol status and other living habits was presented to all participants. At the same time, HPV infection of every participant was examined in laboratory testing. Results showed HPV infection (P<0.000, OR=23.4) and pregnancy first child's age (P<0.000, OR=13.1) to be risk factors for cervical cancer. Menopause (P=0.003, OR=0.073) was a protective factor against cervical cancer. However, there was no indication of associations of environmental (drinking water, insecticide, disinfectant) genetic (cancer family history), or life-style factors (smoking status, alcohol status, physical training, sleep quality), including dietary habits (intake of fruit and vegetable, meat, fried food, bean products and pickled food) or social psychological factors with cervical cancer. The results suggest that the risk of cervical cancer in Chinese rural women may be associated with HPV infection, menopause and the pregnancy first child's age.

Qi is in the capacity of pivotal element to describe the life, based on the principles of remedy such as Qigong, meridian pathways, acupuncture, moxibustion and herbal medicine. The purpose of this study was to identify the status of course offered Qigong and Qigong-related clubs in 11 college of oriental medicine. For survey courses offered Status of Qigong in 11 college of oriental medicine, I checked its homepage in august 2008. And about the facts that I could not verify information from the homepage, I obtained through the phone manner. For survey Qigong-related clubs in 11 college of oriental medicine, I phoned the president of union clubs and found out Qigong-related clubs. And then I phoned the presidents of Qigong-related clubs that consented before the fact, investigated the overall situation of clubs. Nine out of 11 college of oriental medicine offered course of Qigong. All of them are opened as major in a premedical course. Six universities have practical training. Six out of 11 college of oriental medicine had Qigong-related clubs. And the number of club is 12. The number of club in Daeguhaany university, 4, is the most. The number of membership of club in Daeguhaany university, 61, is the most too. Most of them are co-majoring both Jung-gong and Dong-gong. It is considered that in lecture of Qigong, It is in a need of lecturing in a regular course with clinical contents, rather than lecturing in a premedical course with basic contents. Of spontaneous club activities, after graduation so that they can get practical help for future. I think from now on we need to investigate deeply practical rate of satisfaction and the present condition of clubs.
